As another reviewer said in September, HEYCLAY still requires a social media account to access directions to something that was already purchased. No reason for this.
The clay itself dries far too quickly for a 4 year old who is just learning to roll, squish, and make a billion “cone” shapes. Also, this results in squished versions of the desired result, as squishing is the only way to get it to stick to itself properly.
Directions and fine motor skill requirements may be too lofty for “3 and up,” so play doh seems more appealing at this point....cheaper and produces same result.
A shame, as the concept is a good one.

Do you not get HEYCLAY! So what happened was, my brother got this for Christmas and we got HEYCLAY we downloaded it and we were so excited but then what happened was, it said that I had to download megabytes I forget how many but so I let it do that and then afterwords it just kicked me off HEYCLAY and I went on it like three times again and it still kicked me off! So it’s not letting me use HEYCLAY and me and my brother were really excited to use it and then out of nowhere we can’t use it. 😒☹️😑🙄

HEYCLAY has some really nice creative moments. Little bit tricky to figure out how to use it at first. My biggest issue is that you have to pay $4.99 to unlock HEYCLAY after you buy the product. This seems like it should be wrapped into the cost of the product. Especially for something that is literally just for instructions.

Overall, I appreciate the production value. Seems fun and well-executed on certain levels.

Not sure why others gave negative reviews. HEYCLAY was super straightforward and well-designed. We were making animals in minutes, and they came out great.

Hey ‘Hey Clay’,

You have a cool app and a great team, just watching your videos are so satisfying, I’m trying to teach my niece some basic clay modeling, I’m no expert. I wish you add more simple clay modeling videos, something like rainbow, caterpillar, snail, flowers, simple ones.

I really like this game. I received a set for Christmas and enjoyed building them. I think the overall game has a really unique design and ideas, but the clay does dry a bit too fast and the tutorials are challenging, which annoyed the younger members of my household.

Ok,I will admit that the clay is awesome but I was so excited to play on HEYCLAY and found out I can only make one character for free you shouldn’t have to pay for directions to a tiny character it would be 5 whole dollars for all of the characters in one pack and some people don’t have that money. OK? So stop making people pay please!

I love this clay it is so soft I could stretch it this is the best clay I’ve ever experienced to use I mean it’s mushy it’s stretchy it’s just the best color ever it’s the best feeling ever I just love this so that’s why I gave it a five star Review

So I just downloaded HEYCLAY and I tried to get in, and I tried on different devices but I kept kicking me out, I got the clay from a present from my daughter’s friend for birthday but we thought HEYCLAY was good idea but I tried like five times and it doesn’t want to work.

There is no way to contact the company for questions or complaints. HEYCLAY is a rip off. And their response to any complaints is, “give me more money.” The “clay” is not made of clay. It is some kind of plastic garbage.
Do. It spend money on this product. Buy any other brand of air dry clay. This clay is only made to sell micro transactions in HEYCLAY .

Ok listen this is really good clay (and app) no stains no mess perfect! But I love sculpting not the characters I sometimes sculpt lots of things with this stuff! I love hey clay and the colors and how soft it is! I recommend this clay to anyone!

I got this for my 4 year old and I learned you have to buy everything! Also my 4 year old asked if he could have clay around his tablet i said no. Then I caught him sneaking clay into his room! Get HEYCLAY if you want a dirty screen on your device! Or if you are willing to buy everything

The clay smudges like when you make a monster it smudges on the monster. I’m happy with it but… it’s pretty hard to make but it’s super soft

My daughters are delighted and began to sculpt very cool. we have a whole collection at home.

App crashes on loading screen on iPhone 7

App is unusable unless you create an account with Hey Clay using your social media or google logins. Why would Hey Clay want me to hand over my Facebook password or gmail password?

Best app for kids

Can’t mold it bc the clay is not soft at all. Cant find any info on how to soften it

App does not work. No sound. Can’t unlock or buy animals (just takes me to a hole screen every time that says close or swipe). Can’t I luck any characters using the code. The “okay” button doesn’t work once you enter the code. So disappointing for my kids.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loved it. Back then you used an access code from the kit to access the instructions for all the different creatures in a single box. Now, the access code doesn’t work anymore. I’ve emailed and received no response. I tried another box (we just bought three more boxes!) and now they want me to sign into a social media account so they can track me??? This is absurd! I paid for this product, you don’t track me and my child when I have already paid for this and the give me no option except to give you my personal data, and then also pay you extra for each creature! What the hell happened to this product? Great job ruining a good thing guys. If you needed to make more of a profit you should have just raised the price of the box instead of being so sneaky and dishonest!
