Who writes app like this, do you people do any testing even ??? Half of the things are in English, pop ups are Chinese or something REALLY??? Even if you connect the camera wifi, 70maiNorthAmerica doesn’t recognize it. Tried in two different phones. The camera is recording fine, I can see the card data by connecting to wifi using other means but not thru 70maiNorthAmerica .

I am using iPhone XS. After I read the comments about disconnecting cellular data and force the wifi connection. It still doesn’t work. I can only see the pictures that I snapped. Regular videos, pictures and voice activated pics and videos are NOT working with iPhone. However, I am able to see the number of videos and pictures saved on the TF card but unable to view them on phone app!! Pleased fix this issue.

Such a big bug in 70maiNorthAmerica , not recognize its device even my phone show it already connected to the device WiFi hotspot. I have to return the device. Who want a dash cam that can only see the picture and video only when plug out the SD card and put on computer

Worked fine before ios13 update. Now I get this WiFi message in Chinese and cannot connect device. Keeps bringing me to the WiFi settings saying not connected to hotspot but it is connect and pulling up address from dash cam pro. Got around it once by deleting app and reinstalling but now it’s Broken again. Please fix your app!!!

70maiNorthAmerica is just about the worst. Very difficult to get it to connect with iPhone. After setup I decided to connect with work iPad then today tried to access with my iPhone and had to go through all of the setup again. Apparently you can’t use two different devices to connect with the camera. App will not connect to camera without location settings enabled. I do not want to give 70maiNorthAmerica my location info. It’s not necessary. Please, just make a simple app that allows users to connect with the dashcam without the stress.

We live in a world where our phones can do anything except scratch my balls. Why is 70maiNorthAmerica playing a video of me almost hitting a drunk guy running across the street but I can’t download it to my phone. I hit download and it goes to “app album” well connected to wifi or not I can’t download it to my iPhone photos. Yeah yeah yeah I can do the screen recording but that’s not the point.

70maiNorthAmerica was crap to being with and now quit working completely after the 13.1 update I’m assuming. I’m connected to the camera but when I go into 70maiNorthAmerica it tells me there’s no hot spot. Super frustrating, hope I can return this camera, buy something else. This is a giant waste of time which is a shame since I do like the camera when it was working.

I can’t seem to heard anything when playing back the videos. I know the sound record is on because it says so. As well as the voice commend works so I don’t know why I can’t hear anything in the videos. Can someone answer why this is happening???

App can have connectivity issues at times which is annoying when you NEED to access it in a time sensitive manner. But otherwise, it’s UI is simple and easy to navigate. I would pay to upgrade to cloud storage if 70mai ever wanted to offer it. Because all my microSD cards seem to eventually get burnt out no matter what brand of dashcam or microsd I go with from the constant rewriting, I prefer to get the storage small so I’m not wasting money on high storage microSD’s that will need to be replaced in 6 months anyway. Some other dashcam companies offer cloud storage. I’d definitely like to see 70mai get into the running for that.

To get the camera set up, you need to have cell data on, location data on and set to precise, and Wi-Fi connected to the camera. However, once you get it set up to your desired settings, you don’t need to have 70maiNorthAmerica connected or even installed - the camera will continue to work just fine. Obviously you don’t have real time output, but if you bought it as just a recorder for insurance risk, that’s plenty fine.

I was stuck trying to connect to the camera through 70maiNorthAmerica like other reviewers. Did some digging and saw a FAQ that suggested turning mobile data off to force the connection through the wifi. IOS will automatically switch to mobile data if it can't reach the internet through a wifi link or if the wifi is a 'poor signal'(?).
It worked! Connected right away. But turning off mobile data globally on the phone is a pain every time to connect to the cam. Found that if I disable mobile data for just 70maiNorthAmerica in settings, I can still connect to the cam while the rest of my apps continue to use mobile data.

Once connected, 70maiNorthAmerica is snappy and fairly well laid out. Good, but not great yet. Hope the developers continue to improve it.

70MAI-A800 is quite a great dash cam/ it records both front and rear in cases of any accidental situations and even in the parking mode in case someone hits it front and back..And the ADAS is also good in cases of vehiclle moves from lane to lane.. Warning message.. and nearing a front vehicle
So far works good for me..!!

It works great on my new dashcam lite and iPhone 12 mini. I had issues connecting and authorizing the device after verifying that the local wifi connected. To fix the connection issues, I enabled “Local Network” access in 70maiNorthAmerica ’s Settings and it all worked perfectly. 70maiNorthAmerica should really be updated to request local network access during the setup process. For omitting that, I’m giving 70maiNorthAmerica 4 stars instead of 5.

Update: after reading a fellow user’s review to switch off 70maiNorthAmerica ’s cellular data via iPhone app setting, 70maiNorthAmerica is finally communicating with the camera. Quality of the video is pretty decent.

Old review:
Touted to show “real-time” recordings, the camera shows “connecting” on 70maiNorthAmerica for the longest time without success. I have no idea why but they also decided to add a “voice command” page in Chinese even though it is an English version.

I was able to say “take picture” and access the album in order to calibrate my camera. Wasn’t able to calibrate prior since it was always “connecting”... not.

Setup isn’t intuitive but if you read and follow all of the instructions it isn’t really difficult. I had no problems on my iphone 11.

Easily connected and works like a dream!
I even added s 128GB micro for long recording. All working great. I bought 5 of these units for my other car and for friends and family.

Just bought one and connected successfully. 70maiNorthAmerica works great. The voice control works well, too. I like 70maiNorthAmerica and the recorder. It seems much better than my old one.

70maiNorthAmerica is good. One thing you have to know when you sync the camera with your phone, make sure 70maiNorthAmerica location settings is on. Please up vote my review so people can see it

It works fine I haven't encountered any issues. However It would be nice if the developer would add an option to delete multiple videos at once and not one by one as it currently is.

GPS location is showed only when playing videos from 70maiNorthAmerica . It doesn’t appear when you download it to your phone’s album. Why?????
