Subscription only

This is probably a good app. It’s not obvious when you download that it has a demonstration mode of exactly one picture or video. After that, it presents a subscribe option from which you can not escape. It looks like you can simply skip it and edit another item. It even lets you start the second edit, but after you import your item, it puts up another subscribe window. This window also has a skip button. When you push it, however, whatever you imported is gone.

This is implementation is perfect if you want to collect a bunch of angry reviews. Don’t tell anyone about the single image demo mode. Put a skip button on the subscription window. Allow the user to believe they can start a second edit. Put up another subscription window with a skip button, but then delete the users image. Leave the UI alive so the user might try again. Never explain what’s going on.

I have some suggestions for how you can make the user experience worse. Feel free to contact me if you’d like to hear them.

Worked amazing for the first photo, useless after

Worked awesome for the first photo. Then it would practically force me to subscribe. I got the skip button to skip the subscription, it shows me an ad. Alright, still fine if it’s free. I close out of the ad (it’s not a timed ad either) and it ignores the photo I selected, so I select a photo again, and the subscription screen is back, rinse, and repeat.

Edit: Dev says it’s meant to demonstrate what you can do with NoCrop . Fine, you could do that and maybe I’d pay $1.99 or whatever ONE TIME like similar apps that do the same thing, but a subscription like this isn’t worth it, I mean I could get Adobe for not much more I hear. Or, at least let NoCrop remain functional for free users, if you’re going to throw that many ads at us. Otherwise it’s how your app gets uninstalled. I get wanting to be paid for your efforts, theres ad revenue for that and again, I’d possibly be willing to do a ONE TIME payment like any other similar app out there may ask for. This isn’t the way to go, though, and the reviews show it.

Pretends to be free but isn’t

Kind of ridiculous that it allows you one “photo”, without telling you it’s only one. Then you are forced to pay a outrageous subscription fee of $10 a month! What?! Just to resize a photo so Instagram doesn’t crop it? No way! Devs direct response to another review was “the one photo allotment was to show you what it can do”. That’s it!
I’m a person that will gladly PAY a ONE TIME charge to buy NoCrop , but the minute there’s a subscription fee, especially if it’s not even a reasonable one, that app goes out the door. Here’s a tip, besides avoiding NoCrop, if you have a computer, you can do this yourself by pulling your image into any Adobe, paint, or photo program ( a lot of them are free or very low in price to OWN for years to come). Set your canvas to 4:3 aspect ratio (or for whatever site your posting on, look up their requirements). Even a basic $50 program that you will forever own like photoshop/ paint shop pro will be less expensive than $10/mo ($120/yr) and you never own it.

Please fix your app for god sakes.

NoCrop COULD be amazing, but I shouldn’t have to delete it and redownload it just to edit the next picture. When I download NoCrop , I can pick a picture to edit and then save it. HOWEVER, in order for me to edit the next picture I literally have to delete and redownload the entire app over again because of your consistent adds and the fact that you almost like bully me into buying the trail. When I go to click on the next picture I want to edit or even click on anything else I’m NoCrop , it immediately keeps popping up the trail for me to purchase. When I click the X, it then immediately pops up an add, and when I click the X off the add, it does the same thing over again- trail, then add, trail, then add. Forcing me to delete NoCrop to move on to each individual picture. It’s ridiculous because NoCrop has great features, and this is ruining everything about NoCrop for me.

SCAM HOW DOES THIS HAVE 4.6 stars??

NoCrop works fairly decently based on the one video I was able to edit before they start forcing you to sign up for a subscription, which is I guess fair, but maybe shouldn’t be called a Free App but rather MAKE IT CLEAR ITS A FREE DEMO of ONE VIDEO and $9.99/MO after that. And the lack of transparency even after you’ve used the one freebie, it keep letting you try to upload your next project and takes you through a series of ads and subscription screens and circles you back around. After I looked through the info in NoCrop Store and the Settings I don’t see anything saying that there are limits the only place the developer states this in the response to complaints in the reviews section. Scammy way to do business. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME unless you only need to edit one thing or you are trying to add another 9.99 monthly subscription to your life. Too bad because NoCrop seemed decent just not remotely worth that amount of money and not in my budget for this type of thing.

BEWARE! Unusable and a scam

I was able to use this garbage app for one photo. But upon trying to use it again, suddenly this “free” app becomes this unskipable ad for their “premium” (aka not free) services. And by services, I mean the entire app. I literally can’t use NoCrop because every time I try to add a photo, an ad for their “extra”/“premium” services pops up. It has a skip button, but when you press it, a random other ad for god knows what pops up. This next ad has a no thanks button, but when you click it, it takes you back to your empty homepage “ready” to upload and edit your next photo. But the picture you just tried uploading is gone. Is you try uploading a new photo, this cycle just repeats itself.

If nothing else, this ad is clearly shady as hell and a scam. It’s not even that great at what it claims to be able to do, and most likely most of their reviews are bots.

A FAIR WARNING: I would not trust NoCrop with your information (access to your photos, videos, recordings, and payment information)

Good video and photo editor app, but....

Actually all types of photo & video editing equipment are available in NoCrop. Most probably all possible blur effects, filters works perfectly for photos nd videos. But I have some ideas.. I’ll be pleased to it if NoCrop supports gif from camera roll that would be nice. No only that. To make any video much attractive animated gif/stickers or gif could be add. Though music can add in videos but multiple music support is much appreciating for videos. After getting this type facility I’ll recommend this to my FnF. Overall it’s okay.

“In-App Purchase” warning required

I got NoCrop thinking I was just going to use it for very basic things and if I had to watch ads for that, fine. One picture and wham, that’s all I can do without subscribing. I’ve read the other reviews and the developer’s response to them. Okay, fine, in that case, there needs to be a “In-App Purchase Required” notice on NoCrop Store. I thought that was required for any app that does this kind of thing especially. Without it, it’s false advertising and bad business. I am absolutely willing to watch ads AT INTERVALS (not all the time) to keep the full app unlocked, or to just live with a basic version of NoCrop , but now I have to delete it cause it’s no good to me and I can’t afford a subscription (subscription? Really? For an app like this?). And I’m pretty sure I’ll never come back to it again. This kind of underhanded move is how you lose customers.

By

Useless even as a “teaser”

First of all I also agree that this is a scam, despite the developer saying it’s a “preview”. You can only use it for one edit before it traps you in an inescapable loop of ads and “subscribe now” pages. I won’t even go into that as other reviewers have explained it in detail.

I want to add that the ONE trial run this download afforded me was also a complete waste of time, and I wouldn’t download a subscription to NoCrop even if it was free. I just wanted to add a background to my 15-second clip so that it would fit on Instagram, and everything seemed fine til I imported the file. When I went to view the file, more than HALF the screen was “background” and my video was still cut off - this time all down the right hand side. Could be I used it wrong, but I guess I’ll never know, since I only get one shot at it with this “preview”!

I’ve now spent longer writing this angry review than I did actually engaging with the software. Lol

A Total Swindle--Do Not Buy

It is literally impossible to use NoCrop . It's great at first, then you can't actually use the regular service! You select the photo you want to edit, then the screen to convince you to buy the super package and /or add-ons comes up, you can't restore your purchases even if you try, and when you hit skip a random paid ad for something totally unrelated pops up, and if you close it you're back to square one, where you select the photo to edit. Then guess what! You select the photo, and it all starts over again. It doesn't matter how many times you do it, same non-result.
NoCrop is useless--a total sham of a tool--and worse: it's a swindle. You download their app, maybe even buy an add-on, then come back and find that you can't use it all unless you spend even more money--and every time you try you just help them out by playing another random ad they've been paid for. It's dishonest and frustrating.

If it’s not free then say so

*editing my review since it won’t let me respond to your reply to my original review. My issue isn’t that you want to sell NoCrop - my issue is the deceptive way you attempt to trick users into thinking it is free and then forcing a purchase. If you want to sell it, have some integrity and list it that way. You must think your users are idiots. It wouldn’t matter how helpful NoCrop is- I’ll take my business to an honest seller.*

I used the old version of no crop for several years then suddenly it wasn’t available anymore. I was excited to find it again in NoCrop Store, but I literally used it one time before it became absolutely useless without being forced to purchase the full version. If you had been up front about NoCrop not being free, I would have purchased it, but this bait and switch tactic is shady and not the way I make purchasing decisions. No thank you.

By

Only worked for 1 pic before the ads took over

I was able to use the “free version” for only ONE photo. When I tried to use NoCrop on a second photo, the popups for ads and the paid subscription version prompt kept preventing me from using NoCrop and sending me back to a home screen, creating a frustrating loop.
If the "free" version doesn't work beyond the initial photo, it's not a functioning "free" version. And only offering to use it to try for a single photo with no warning or further explanation is ridiculous. NO THANKS.
PS: No excuse needed from the developers’ reply. Bottom line: One photo (?!) is not enough to get a feel for how the entire app works before being expected to hand a bunch of money over. Perhaps it would be better to allow a timed trial run for at least a few days, so that prospective customers can explore the options, if your app is that great.

Works great until they make you subscribe

Worked great for pics and video, no noticeable resolution loss but after about a month of using NoCrop I now get a pop up to do a 3 day trail of the premium version after which your opted in for 2 bucks a week! At 8 bucks a month that's almost 100 bucks a year for NoCrop! And honestly I get you guys need to make money and I wouldnt mind the pop up ad at all IF I COULD CLOSE IT AND CONTINUE USING NoCrop BUT YOU CAN'T. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE THE POP UP YOUR RETURNED TO THE MAIN SCREEN EFFECTIVELY LOCKING YOU OUT OF USING NoCrop TO DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU OPT IN FOR THE FREE TRIAL WHICH WILL AUTOMATICALLY START BILLING YOU WEEKLY AFTER THE 3 DAY TRIAL IS OVER.

YOUR 1.99 WEEKLY FEE IS RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED AND YOUR SALES TACTICS ARE SHADY AND DISHONEST SO I'LL SKIP NoCrop FOR SOMETHING WITH A ONE TIME FEE BETWEEN 1-5 DOLLARS.

CONSIDER CHANGING YOUR MODEL TO ALLOW PPL TO CLOSE YOUR POP UP AD AND STILL USE NoCrop OR SELL NoCrop FOR A ONE TIME FEE IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN BUSINESS.

Still broken and unusable

Rated this awhile back for the same issue others have posted about on here, where an ad comes up when you try to pick a photo and then closing the ad kicks you out of the photos and the same thing happens every time you try to select a photo so you can't actually use the program. Instead of fixing their broken program I saw the developer replied to someone else's review and said this was to get you to buy the pay version. So I'm uninstalling. If they don't want you to use the ad-supported free version then they shouldn't have it available. J just have a pay version and be up front about it. And why would I pay them for anything if they don't fix their apps and are all shady trying to force you to the pay version instead of just having a pay version alone.

misleading, one time use, outrageous monthly sub req‘d for continued use

I was able to edit one photo and it worked great- now it keeps rerouting me to ads when I try to upload my photo w/o ever letting me edit the photo. Based on other reviews, it requires a $10/monthly sub to use??? This is not at *all* worth a monthly sub, *especially* that high.

The base app should be available to all with however many ads they want w/ optional purchase/ or (reasonable) monthly sub amount for upgraded features and no ads. Also, instead of blocking out the option to upload the photo, I’m continued to upload one... and they continue to make ad revenue each upload b/c it pops up with an ad w/o ever showing the edit interface - very misleading.

Don’t even bother downloading this...total waste of time.

This is a waste of your time unless you want to purchase the app.

You can only use NoCrop one time before they restrict you from using it unless you buy something. I’ll be deleting this and looking for a more transparent app that does not bully the customer to purchase. PLEASE READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEW... I had the same experience. You also need to edit every photo or video individually if you want to post a series to insta. Very time consuming. These developers need to go back to the drawing board. I would definitely give them a 0 star rating if it were possible, but of coarse you are also forced to leave a rating even if it is representative of your experience 😡. They get 5 stars for being absolutely useless to me. Now I have to spend another 35 mins trying to find a better app. Thanks for nothing.

Was fantastic. Now not worth having installed

Originally, I used to use NoCrop for two years for all my posts. It was simple, fun to play with, a great program. Now when I pick an image from my gallery to create a new edit, it asks me to pay and then when I hit skip, it gives me an ad and once I close the ad it brings me back to the main screen so I only have two options. Pay a ridiculous weekly fee or uninstall and use a different app. I’m not gonna pay $2 a week to do something I can do free on a different app. Make advanced settings like special filters (only unique ones, not your everyday filters that come installed in your phone) and special frames. So unfortunately I’m going with option two. It was great while it lasted

By

Worked great for a few weeks but now

Advertising now completely dominates NoCrop. You can’t use NoCrop now unless you pay the ridiculous fee of 1.99 per week. I would pay 1.99 or maybe 2.99 for NoCrop one time, that’s it. It only costs a few cents more and you can get the whole Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, and online storage package.
At it’s best NoCrop is just a convenience not a necessity.
Everyone is entitled to make money from their effort but this is just over the top.
Really, 100$ a year for a cropping app, not.

It’s working good...!! @

NoCrop does exactly what I want to do. All Possible blur effects makes you different. Huge collection of Pattern, Color and Gradient Color Backgrounds are really amazed you. Who has the major priority of filters like me he should use NoCrop . It contains more than sixty Awesome Filters.
The most attractive feature of NoCrop is huge Background music’s for your video. Now I make my video live, Add text on photos more professional fonts works smoothly.

When I have used a photo for experiment by using border my friends were amazed. I want to give thanks my friend who suggested me NoCrop.

Ads, bugs, pop-ups, game virus

This was great until they started having a pop up to try premium when you launch it. You hit skip and it takes you back to the “upload image” screen. You pick an image and upload it and the trial pop up comes on again. Exit out enough times and then an ad for a game comes up. Seems very shady and bad biz antics. There are other free crop aps that just require a logo unless you upgrade. This one, can’t even use it now.

FIX THE POP-UP WINDOW PROBLEM!

After a month or so of using NoCrop, it stopped working properly. After opening NoCrop , you choose a photo to use, and then suddenly a pop-up window shows up. The pop-up menu asks if you want a bi-monthly subscription for all access to the features of NoCrop . Every time without fail, when I close the pop-up window it brings me back to the beginning of NoCrop , so I have to load my photo again. Then again I get the pop-up window; I close it and try to start over. IT'S A NEVER ENDING LOOP THAT BLOCKS ME FROM USING NoCrop IN ANY WAY AT ALL. I understand that the developer needs to make money, but turning NoCrop into unusable software and creating a frustrating experience is not the answer. PLEASE UPDATE NoCrop AND FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Disappointing

I have been with NoCrop for years. When it was genuinely a free app. Then when you charged a one time fee (which I payed by the way) and every time I need to use NoCrop I have to press restore I’m not mad about that but I am P.O’d about the fact that now I can’t restore my purchase because you terminated my account to try to force me to sign up for your over priced weekly fee.
The recent changes to your agreement via terms and conditions shows that you do not value subscribers. It states, “We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at anytime without prior notice.” It is greedy of your company to terminate your subscribers who have not broken your terms and conditions on the sole fact you want to make money off of them.

By

Totally useless

I can’t even use NoCrop. The moment I tap on a photo to edit, countless number of ads keep popping up on my screen. When I try to skin the ad, it goes back to square one. And the whole process repeats itself. I just downloaded NoCrop this morning and I haven’t been able to do anything on it. I basically can’t use it. It’s just a waste of data and space.

By

Deleted the app

Worked great when I had first downloaded it, but now that I try to use it after uploading the picture I wanted to use, a pop up come up about trying their premium program which costs 1.99 a week. I don’t even use NoCrop that much to be paying 2 dollars a week. Wouldn’t have a problem with the ad if when I chose to exit it I could continue using NoCrop like i normally would but instead it deletes my picture, and when I try uploading it again the same ad pops out and I exit only to find myself with the same problem over and over again. Basically NoCrop is useless unless you purchase their premium package. Thank you next!!

By

Forces you to pay for it after 1st use!

The old version of NoCrop (which had a green icon) worked wonderfully! But when I bought a new phone & tried to use NoCrop it was no longer available in NoCrop Store. Now this new version worked cool ONE time, then when I tried to crop a second photo, it keeps demanding that I start the 3-day trial which would then lead to paying $8 a month. I didn’t get to use this enough to know if I want to pay for it yet. Plus ads pop up so much that it’s hard to actually save your pic cuz when you close the ad, the whole app closes and you have to start all over. Total waste. I found a way better app. Deleting this one now.
