I have installed and been using Feit Electric smart devices for last 6 months with fairly good experience. I have 20 smart dimmers and multiple smart plug outlets. For about a week, since March 13th, the Feit app for iOS started acting weird. The biggest issue is with FeitElectric showing smart devices ON while they are actually OFF, when you pull screen down to refresh, it changes status for some devices, but it is never correct. What’s more annoying - I have created automation for exterior and interior night modes, that should turn ON lights at sunset and turn OFF at sunrise. It worked pretty good for last 6 months and stopped working correctly in last 6 days. I tried to reset devices and connect them back again with no luck. It is definitely something wrong with your Feit server. I read also other bad reviews on Apple AppStore about same issues from other users. How you can help me to fix the issue? If not fixable I will return all devices to Costco. Please advise. Thank you.
Update as of March 24th: Looks like developer reads reviews and comments. After more than a week of malfunctioning, FeitElectric was updated and all seems to be working fine back again.

I have a Feit smart RGB strip and every time I go from the color or effects changing page back to the dimming one, it automatically changes back to full white at whatever brightness I had set last. It is obnoxious at night when I want red at 2% when I actually get white at 98%. I have contacted Feit multiple times about both their products and app, but I never get a response past the automated “we have received your request”. I am genuinely regretting investing so much of my effort into the Feit electric ecosystem. You know what they say: Some things are cheap, some things are good, and some things are fast (meaning you can get it in your hands quickly). No matter what, you can never have all three. If something is cheap and good, you won’t get it soon because everybody wants it. Now, if it’s fast and cheap, which the Feit equipment was, it probably isn’t good. I was hoping Feit would prove this theory wrong, but that has not been the case this far. I have reached out and reported bugs consistently and I never get help. I hope this review catches somebody’s attention because it fees like I am the only one with a problem.

FeitElectric is very unhelpful and clunky to use. Clicking into menus and settings takes holding your finger down just right to make sure you go to settings vs turning off your light. You can no longer make device groups due to the most recent update. Every time our internet goes out we have problems with our lights and often have to completely reconnect them. Sometimes there are communication errors between FeitElectric and the bulbs. It will take dozens of attempts to change a lights color or brightness until it actually executes. Also if you want to pick a bulb color it’s a guessing game hitting in a circle palette or you choose from 6 or so basic colors. It would be nice to have more customization in FeitElectric over all and more control. FeitElectric is not user friendly and it’s clunky, frustrating, and a hassle to use. Changing my light settings genuinely makes me depressed. I wonder and wish that each developer would take at least 10 of these home and use them for the next two months and test out FeitElectric with their family. I would say that’s way more helpful to show it’s severe lacking than any of us can detail.

THEE most frustrating “smart bulbs” to set up on the planet. I follow their set up word for word and just run in a set up loop over and over again (2min “scanning for device” included), to “Could not find the device….. would you like to retry?” Over and over and over!
To make matters worse I contact their tech support to get a completely clueless agent who runs me through the same basic set up that has been failing repeatedly and, shortly into the call (most of which the call involved the tech support agent sitting there silently-no “help” what so ever) he legit says to me after sitting there on the phone in silence for 4 minutes and NOT actively assisting me with any other possible ideas, “okay, well Im going now…. (HANGS UP THE PHONE-ending the call on me). THAT is their “tech support staff at Feit Electric!? Sitting there silently on the other end of the line and “Okay Im leaving now, buh bye”!? no follow up or to another agent for any other possible ideas!? Really Feit Electric!?

Have 9 bulbs connected in various locations in my home. Presently 3 are offline and unable to reconnect. Nor will these three turn on or off via the light switch. Funny thing of those, one still follows the on and off schedule, but I can’t access it manually. Frustrating. The bulbs that work, work. The bulbs that don’t work will no longer connect, won’t enter the pairing mode, and won’t turn on via the light switch. Solution for the 33% not working, ohh and the one brand new unused (40% problematic) back to Costco for the refunds. Maybe if enough of the problem bulbs are retailer returned, it will get someone’s attention. Upgrade or fix FeitElectric , end user consumers like me have wasted time and money. I’ll skip any comments on the help guide that indicated “energize” the bulb. Geez the wording should have been turn on or switch on the bulb. (For a moment, thinking I had to call Captain Kirk of the USS Enterprise).

The Good: The packaging of the hardware. The Bad: I purchased the dual outlet outdoor smart plugs with the intention to set them up for my holiday lights and decorations. I have plenty of experience setting up WiFi outlets of many different brands. The software does NOT connect properly even following the instructions exactly. Then if you attempt to troubleshoot you find typos and English errors in the text which is immediately disconcerting. Then when you read the privacy policy... The Ugly: Your face after you read the privacy policy. Here is a DIRECT QUOTE: “Feit Electric collects general and non-public personal information.” What is “non-public personal information” you ask? Well, allow me to elaborate what it discloses in their own policy. “Non-public personal information may include WITHOUT LIMITATION: name; address; phone number; email address; credit card number; account information; VOTING BEHAVIOR; SPENDING PATTERNS; and individual tastes and preferences.” Oh and it doesn’t end there... “Non-public personal information is any...information...that is proprietary or identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate you or someone at your business.” Oh and you do NOT have any option to opt out. The Summary: HOLY CARP! I’m no conspiracy theorist by far but this made in China product is going right back to Costco and FeitElectric is getting deleted immediately!

FeitElectric is horrible! Poor directions and very disfunctional! I have several smart devices and this is the only one that requires a 2.4 GHz connection. I was on the first screen that is saying to connect to 2.4 GHz - I tried everything to see why it wasn’t connecting…. It wasn’t even trying! Turns out that it is the first SLIDE and you have to slide sideways, which then appears to give you continuing instructions for set-up, but it’s not actually setting it up!!! When I finally get past the last slide, it THEN gets to the set-up. It didn’t get any better after that. I had a lot of trouble just getting it connected to my WiFi. Turns out, you have to enter the WiFi password at the bottom of the page - but it doesn’t REQUIRE IT and lets you continue on without it, then simply doesn’t work! Extremely frustrating! I have Smart devices set-up all over my home - no issues until Feit! This is a dumb device! I will never buy Feit again!!!

The lights are fine. A basic smart bulb.
But if I had known that FeitElectric was trash, I would’ve gone with a different brand. Firstly, the lights turn off when you tap on the lightbulb from FeitElectric . This is just backwards. When you tap on it- it should open up the features. Instead, you have to hold down the lightbulb to get it to open up the features which results in shutting off your lights multiple times. Very annoying. Would make more sense if you had to hold the lightbulb button to turn them off instead. Secondly, if your power goes out and come back on FeitElectric takes way too long to respond to this issue. It says “network error” and won’t even let you click off of the error message to bypass.
Idk. I’d go with a different brand if you are easily annoyed with user interface

Bought a 3 pack at Costco and now that I finally got them setup I’m having issues with 1 of them in particular.
I live in a 1600 sq ft house with drywall - not plaster, and my router is approximately 25’ from one unit that 99% of the time says it’s “offline”. I’ve followed the suggestions listed and still have the issue. If I turn the space heater on by pushing the button on the unit it switches on ok.
Another issue is FeitElectric , besides being extremely plain and boring looking, its almost impossible to read because the background is white and the text is light gray, so there is very little contrast for this 60+ year old to be able to read it. (Probably designed by a 20 year old with 20-15 vision) I checked thinking maybe there’s a way to customize it by changing the background and text colors to make it more pleasing to the eye and make it easier to read, but can’t find where that’s an option.

This product was a very big disappointment I bought theses from Lowe’s and they are just the most frustrating thing on the planet I bought 4 of them for my ceiling fan and I can never get all 4 to connect one is always offline it’s not the same one either it always seems to change around and I try to reconnect but reconnecting with 4 of these things is a nightmare it takes like 3 minutes to connect and by that time you have a headache from the blinking lights (no warning of that’s how you have to set them up on the box real issue that the company should probably fix) and then after messing with the blinking lights I’m stuck with 2 offline this is day 2 of trying to set these up my connection is fine and is 2.4Hz I don’t know if I just got a bad apple or what but this was a terrible experience and I can only hope I get a refund

First off, the reviews are for not only the Feit app, but bulbs, cameras, outlets and Costco bananas. I’ve read a few dozen reviews and with all the 1-2 star reviews (seems to be almost a third), I don’t understand how this gets an average over four stars?!?
Okay, this is my issue: FeitElectric is not user friendly! I am using it with the Feit Smart Plugs (two pack from Costco). I’ve have set up LOTS of smart devices. I am a firefighter and the station officer for my fire department so I’ve purchased smart devices and set them up to a level that our least engaged members can figure out (well not all). FeitElectric is confusing at best when setting up an automated schedule. The nomenclature is not what the average person would use making it LOTS of trial and error to get it correct.
What… read the instructions you say? Even worse. All I want to do is set up a daily on and off schedule- why should that be so difficult? I’ll tell you why, because they add so many gimmicks that take priority over the most common task and they kick you into screens that you have to press every radio button and “next” screen only to be more confused when you started. Took me 93 minutes and 12 seconds to get this figured out. Should of only taken me 6 minute and 30 seconds. And I’m still doubtful it will fulfill my needs.
What happened to the good ole days when men were men and sheep ran scared?
by PhilipNTx
Originally, set up was fine. Got things up and running pretty quickly. I don’t know if it was an update or what, but now FeitElectric is useless. The schedule I had in place (all I have is one device, an outside light on my garage) disappeared, and I had to create it again. Saved it. Worked once, and then it just stopped. I went into FeitElectric , and the schedule — the only one I have — was grayed out. I had to go in and save it again. Worked once or twice, but again it stopped randomly. This has happened over and over now, and it’s unsafe. It’s just ridiculous. Just now I noticed that, once again, the light wasn’t on when it should have been. Sure enough, the schedule was again grayed out. Had to open it and save it again. Who knows if the light will turn off in the morning like it’s supposed to. I have no faith that it will work.

Overall, when it’s working, we like this camera/floodlight. Every so often it decides not to like our cable WiFi signal though, and gets dumped off the network. Seems to happen if power goes out or fluctuates. Whenever this happens it is not a simple matter of reconnecting. We have to reset our modem, then bust out the ladder to go up and unscrew the little panel to push the reset button. In FeitElectric we need to forget the device, then re-add it all over again. I know which breaker switch powers it, so I could just flip that to reset, but then we need to reset clocks on the same circuit which is annoying. I’ve had to perform this procedure at least 3 times since we’ve owned the unit. Our modem is maybe 15 ft away from the camera, so proximity shouldn’t be the problem. Like I said, it works fine when it’s connected, just wish it would stay that way!
by Noodleznow
Good app, would be 4/5 if I could read the text more easily. For the scheduling, they use a tiny font that’s light gray on a lighter gray background. Why??? Please increase the size and contrast. My iPhone contrast is already enhanced, but it’s still difficult to read.
FeitElectric would be 5/5 if for the scheduling I could choose sunrise and sunset and an +/- offset time in minutes, plus have a random time within some chosen range of minutes. I have dumb wall timers that do those things. The schedules I have to make various lights go on and off at seemingly random times, not repeating themselves every day, are obscenely complicated. Having a random time generator would vastly simplify scheduling to help make my vacation house look occupied.
Otherwise, I recommend this system. But please, make it easier to read for function’s sake, and tell those people who want light gray font on light gray background to go look at a painting if they want to see pretty things. This needs to be more functional and utilitarian.

While FeitElectric might benefit from a few more features, nonetheless, has MOST of the basic capabilities that it needs. When I say it has MOST of what it needs, there is one annoying (and very important) missing feature.
Many of us who use FeitElectric (like myself) use it much more on an iPad than on an iPhone and many of us (again, like myself) use their iPad with an attached keyboard (like my Apple Magic Keyboard) almost all the time, therefore we almost always use the iPad in LANDSCAPE orientation. FeitElectric only works in PORTRAIT mode. Therefore, we always have to either detach the iPad from the keyboard (and, even more importantly, the trackpad) or look at the screen sideways.
I don’t mind too much that FeitElectric only has an iPhone version (although adding a native iPad version would be nice). If, however, you have an iPhone only app you should assume that many people will use it on an iPad in screen magnified form and often with an attached keyboard/trackpad in landscape orientation. Thus it simply MUST operate in landscape orientation as well as portrait mode. If it did, I’d give it 5 stars.

Really like the bulbs...they work as advertised. I am using FeitElectric on an iPhone 11 Pro before this an XS Pro. The controls icons at the bottom of FeitElectric are stacked on top of each other or overplayed making them difficult to read and use. They are usable but annoying. This occurred on both versions of my Iphone. It does work so that's what is important. One of the features I really enjoy is to set timers for my lights. I can change the burn times or turn them on or off from anywhere where I am connected to the internet. Also the bulbs are very efficient using very little wattage. I would recommend these smart bulbs but confused and vexed about how long FeitElectric has been messed up. My very first version of FeitElectric was perfect then it got bad then worse. The latest update seems to be a little better. If it wasn't for the graphic icon controls on FeitElectric overlaying on each other I would give them 5 stars. It's annoying but still functional so I am just accepting this "as is" for now. I erased FeitElectric a while back and reinstalled it. That was a pain as I have 10 lights which all had to be reconnected one at a time and FeitElectric display was the same. In conclusion, I do like the lights and think they are a good product.

A previous owner did some creative wiring so that the recessed lights in our living room were connected to the ceiling fan and light. The only way to get light in the room was to turn the big, bright, ugly fan light on. By installing the smart bulbs in the recessed lights, we are now able to only turn them on -and not include the fan light if we don’t want it. The lights are also dimmable so we can control the brightness now. My only issue is that they had to be connected to a 2.4 internet connection which created some connectivity issues in some of our other devices. In the long run, we saved a lot of money by not having to have the fixtures re-wired. We are very pleased with this product and have the bulbs installed in other fixtures throughout the house and all are controllable with our Alexa app.

I purchased three AC/DC plug-in timers to turn my Christmas lights on and off every day!! When I saw how convenient and easy thing were to use, I purchased additional sets and LOVE that my family room lamps all come on at 5 PM every evening and go off at 10 o’clock at night… And the fact that you can control them from any cell phone if you are away or out of town is fantastic!! They are sleek and modern looking,,,,,easy to operate setting the timers on my phone !!! I purchased additional sets for all of my relatives and they love them equally so!!!! What a convenience and great product!!!! Thank you Feit !!! I actually purchased a feit motion sensor for my adult children’s house after loving your products!!!

Acquired a pair of Feit Indoor & Outdoor Plugs, and an HD Indoor Camera as test to replace a number of Zigbee/Bluetooth devices which another manufacturer discontinued support & remote access. The Feit devices were very simple to install, respond immediately to remote controls with positive display of state changes. The HD Camera has exceptional video quality. Simple controls are appreciated. One possible limitation, use of only 2.4 GHz WiFi band, has not caused any issues on our multi-band home WIFi. Have since acquired additional Feit cameras, outlets, & other devices which installed simply & perform well. No issues noted after several power outages. Overall great products @ reasonable prices. Thanks.

With this product, I didn't have to change my electrical outlets at significant costs. I just plug in and connect. At nights I can easily turn in/off lights and devices around my home.
Once in a while, I can't connect to the switches. When I first installed them, I had a little frustration ro get them connected. It could have been my network. I am not sure.
I have FeitElectric on 2 devices. Sometimes when one device is connected, the status does not show up correctly on the other device. It is then difficult to get the other device to work.
But overall, I like the product I purchased. There are others but I haven't tried them. The concept is very good though.

Bought the outdoor plugs for my Christmas lights. They were easy to connect to my WiFi. I laid out my power grid using 4 outdoor plugs with each one plugged into a different GFI outlet well within rang of my router. It was great to test each installment stage from my phone rather than running to a control system. I set up groups - which was easy enough. One group for all the lights for night and another for fewer lights in the morning. Setting up the automation wasn’t as easy but I figured it out.
All was working well for 3 weeks. I woke up today to find one of the outlets did not turn on, plus it wouldn’t respond to FeitElectric . When investigating I found to outlet would work when physically turned on but still showed as off in FeitElectric . And now FeitElectric crashes when trying to edit the automations.
So while easy to install and setup the lack of reliability really knocks FeitElectric down in rating.

Love the product and the POTENTIAL of FeitElectric but it’s clunky at best the way it is. There at simply too many itchy, annoying unpolished issues.
I would have given it more than 1 star but many of these annoying issues have been noted and called to their attention for a long, long time and they’ve done nothing. Come on!!! Step it up guys!! FeitElectric is what makes the product successful. Right now it’s just disappointing. Here’s a few examples of issues:
Glitches still happen often - like a third of the time at least - where it won’t let you change a light setting. Have to quit FeitElectric then restart.
The way it’s set up, it takes way too long to get to the screen to change a light setting. When you need to urgently change the setting for a light, it’s a cumbersome, longer than necessary time needed to navigate to that control.
It would be nice to be able to see the settings of each light or group of lights at a glance all at once. But instead all we can see is on or off.
FeitElectric always restarts on the screen showing each individual light - which is a screen I NEVER use. Why can’t FeitElectric remember where I was the last time or allow me to set my preferred home location?
We have given these lights to 3 different people as gifts but have to apologize for the crappy app each time. That’s a problem. Wake up Feit.

I downloaded app about a week ago, FEIT electric, to set up two exterior porch lights. Worked great! I had an electrician do some work on nearby switches a few days ago and had to repower circuit. So then I had to reset the ‘schedule’ for my new porch lights. FeitElectric seems to work but the moment attempt to “schedule” the lights, FeitElectric crashes! I have tried to reload app, and redo the whole set up at least 6-7 times and FeitElectric continues to crash!! Today I noticed in reloading FeitElectric that developer has “updated” FeitElectric , but it still crashes, my screen goes blank. I have a iPhone11, brand new. Please help
I delete this review once I get help. But this is the 3rd type of app technology I have tried in my home lighting system. So far I’m not impressed by mist of what I’ve seen out there. When it (rarely) works as designed, great. But more often than not, something goes wrong and little tech support.
Can you imagine robot cars, planes, and ships without humans aboard?? Not in a million years.
by Kcri952
We bought the 2 outdoor plugs for Halloween/Christmas lights. I couldn’t get them to connect to FeitElectric at all. Even double checked that I had a 2.4GHz WiFi and spent at least an hour going through their list of trouble shoots. I even tried to do a set work diagnostic through FeitElectric and it kept crashing FeitElectric . I called the IT guy from work and he was able to get them to work, don’t ask me how because I did the same things and it failed.
Now that they work I don’t feel like it’s as easy to set a schedule as I hoped. I just want to be able to say on at X time and off at X time and repeat every day. But it wants to add pretty pictures and use complicated if/then scenarios.
I think FeitElectric could potentially be a little more user friendly. But at the end of the day I was able to figure it all out and everything works. So I am giving them 3 stars.

I totally agree with the previous review points and have some additional questions and suggestions:
1. How long the bulbs supposed to remember the WiFi network connection? We use the regular wall switch most of the times to turn the bulbs in and off, and every few days they loose connection and start blinking. I have to reconnect it again to the router. It seems to me the time when the bulbs are offline is about the same - from late night till the next dusk, but a few days later it happens again. Why?
2. The screenshot of the color selection screen in the AppStore shows pre-selected colors visible while on my iPhone 6s I have to scroll down to see those squares with colors since they are covered with the bottom menu bar. Please make the top part with the bulb/group name smaller to fit everything on the screen without scrolling down.
3. What is "AP Mode" connection and how it is different from the regular one? I've read the manual and searched online to no avail.
4. Please add color changing mode.
5. Please add color selection to the schedule screen to allow a user not only turn the bulbs in and off according to the schedule but also pick colors for the events in the schedule.
Otherwise - great product.

I was so excited when I found the outdoor smart plug for our Christmas lights. We have an outdoor electrical plug but it is not connected to any indoor switch so when we plug in our Christmas lights we have to go outside to turn them off. Often we are in our night clothes and no shoes so when it’s raining or snowing no one what’s to go outside to turn them off. I downloaded FeitElectric and was thrilled there was a scheduler so I could set the times to turn the lights off and on. However, the first time you download FeitElectric the scheduler appears. Not sure why but once you set it the scheduler disappears. I deleted FeitElectric and downloaded it again and there it was. Went back later to look at the scheduler, not there again. Now I just use FeitElectric to turn them off and on, no convenient scheduler. Hopefully there’ll soon be a fix.
by Background To Dark
FeitElectric used to be intuitive and easy to use and setup a schedule or change color now FeitElectric is impossible to setup a simple schedule for when you want a particular light to come on or go off. We are not all programmers it shouldn’t be this difficult and it didn’t use to be. Now FeitElectric does less and if it does more I can’t figure it out. Quit updating your making it worse.
Also every time I touch on a light a dialog box opens and says to upgrade when I touch on upgraded it just takes me back to FeitElectric Store to FeitElectric I just updated version 1.6.7. Come on .
So now that you updated to 1.6.8 FeitElectric again is back to what it was and now everything working perfectly I’m raising my star rating from 2 back to 4

Bought these lights cos I thought the idea was great. I’m up late and it’s nice to have the red or green setting later so my eyes are subjected to a bright LED. However, like mentioned in a previous comment the dim switch gets stuck often at a previously setting (light doesn’t change luminosity), so you have to back out and refresh FeitElectric or close it. Would be awesome if this didn’t happen. Another suggestion I think would be an incredible function. If when using the timer you can choose what color the lights would be. This would be really helpful because I usually fall asleep with the red lights, but to be woken up with the white lights would be great. When I use the timer as it is now, if I fall asleep with the red lights on when they turn on with the schedule function, the red lights come back on and you have to manually change them.
But that’s the only things I notice for improvement. Great app otherwise.
by Paypay20
These lights are one of the better purchases I have made. However, this review is of FeitElectric , not the lights. I really enjoy how easy the developers have made it to control the exact color and shade of light. I do have a few things that might make FeitElectric better, though.
-Patterns; allow users to make sequences of colors that play out at a speed that is proportional to the position on a slider. This would make FeitElectric 10x better in my opinion.
-Allow users to change the preset colors at the bottom of the color wheel; I really enjoy colors that AREN’T the basic crayon colors. It’d be nice to not have to find the perfect shade of purple every time I open FeitElectric .
-Instead of holding down the device button to go to settings, just add a button or something; This feature seems cumbersome. Currently, you can’t tell if you’ve held the button for the right amount of time because it goes to settings after the release. At least fix this, please.
-Last minute addition: maybe a night mode? An option of a darker theme would be nice to have. Less stress on the eyes.

Overall, FeitElectric is great. The integration with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT is awesome. FeitElectric works well and connecting devices is a breeze. I would only change two things. First, it can be difficult to edit the light bulbs without turning them on and off. I think you have to long press the transition to the settings menu, but every time I try to get there I end up turning the lights on and off 3 or 4 times before I am able to get the the edit menu. Second, I would love to be able to trigger an effect with the schedule/automation features. It seems like the effects are the only thing I can’t integrate. Besides that I love the LED bulbs and FeitElectric so far.
by Jarmen32
So setting up is a little weird but not too hard if you can read. Also, who’s idea was it to have the default for “unconnected to wifi” be repetitive flashing lights? Yeah you can make them flash slowly (once every 3 seconds) but that’s still super awful and i wish there was another way to do that, just saiyan.
Um your app fails to “read” what the light is doing while maintaining full control. after opening properly and testing every thing out it works great! But if I return to the home screen (leave FeitElectric running in the background) the display will show me the previously set settings and it will also show me moving the color/brightness switch. It will not record the new position of the color/brightness switch BUT the new position is displayed with the lights and stays there. However the screen displays the incorrect value (previous color/brightness). Problem is fixed after app restart.
I hope I have described the problem well enough to understand.
TL;DR: app necessary for lightbulb function therefore 5/5. App has minor bug where UI displays old inputs; does not effect overall function of the lightbulb but makes app clunky and harder to use, needing frequent restarts.

If you're hoping to drift off to a dimming Moroccan sunset and waking up to Northern Lights, this is not FeitElectric for you. But if you just want to turn the lights on and off with your Google device and change the color to suit your mood, you'll probably be more than satisfied. The set up was pretty simple, even for a grandma like me. I've only been using the bulb for a few days, but have had no complaints so far. As another reviewer said, I wish I could set the bulbs to be red-orange in the evening and blue-white in the morning, but the color can't be set ahead of time. You can set it to come on at a certain time but the color will be whatever it was when it went off. If there are no issues in another month or so, I may get another bulb so I can set one for the morning and one for the evening.
by User84726163
Great bulbs and app. Works like it should. Scheduling feature is exactly what I needed on here. Only thing you gotta do is make sure the light switch doesn’t get turned off. But just gotta switch it back on and it’ll pick up where it left off.
One trick for the schedule: if the connection gets disrupted like the light switch gets turned off, just turn it back on and the lights will turn on. They will sync with the schedule and turn off at the scheduled “off” time. For example I have mine set to on at 5 pm off at 6 am. If the switch gets turned off prior to 5 pm and I switch it back on the lights will stay on until 6 am then turn off.

At some point you’re not going to want someone to hear the text you’re sending & a “smart response” just isn’t going to cut it. The keyboard is big enough to see clearly and for “fat fingers” to type on & if you’re old school it is reminiscent of the old original keyboard options on the flip phone screens (except wayyy easier). I have nothing but positive things to say. The only thing that could make it better is a second “space” key on the 1st half of alphabet for added convenience (when your word is covered in the 1st half of the alphabet). I never leave reviews but FeitElectric is worth every penny of the 99 cents.
Purchased string light kit, The bulbs cannot be screwed into the socket, either the neck of the bulb is too short or the rubber bezel is too deep. "Customer service" (call center) was terrible, took over a month to "investigate". Sent pictures and video but they just kept repeating the same thing and ignoring the facts. Wasted a couple hours without resolution, perhaps the name "FEIT" should be named FIGHT. Return window closed for return so I will cut the bezels so the bulbs will seat. I will never purchase this manufacturer again. BTW, I am a machinery mechanic by trade perhaps I understand when one thing will not fit into another.Feit Electric LED Outdoor Vintage String Lights 30ft, ST19 Filament LED Bulbs, E26 Base, Linkable, 6 *****, 17 Bulbs Included, 18/2 Cord, 2100K, SL30-15/ST19/FIL
Worthless. Couldn’t be more dissatisfied. I have 12 of these smart bulbs in a track light project. I have been trying to pair these up for several hours with minimum success. So far I think I have three or four paired, but there is no way to tell. Each time you pair a new bulb, you must enter the pairing mode by switching the light off-on three times, then you have to RENTER the network password, them wait….and wait….and wait some more. Figure ten minutes or more, then repeat the entire process. Hey….I almost forgot….you can’t use the app unless you pay an annual or lifetime fee. That cost me another $70. Could any product be me more worthless? I don’t think so. If you like poor performance and frustration at an all time high, but some of these. Makes a great gift for someone that you don’t care for.
Feit electric Color Caster is a faulty product. I have purchased and returned two of these units because they DO NOT respond to the cheap remote that comes with the unit. For such a high price, this is a terrible product and I do not recommend it.
Indoor outlet is junk, 3 new could not be connected, new one from customer support was no different, LED in pairing mode stopped flashing during pairing procedure .
FEIT devices are being sold by many major retailers but the software associated with managing them is failing as is reported across the board by consumers. This has been going on for a significant amount of time and FEIT seems to be doing nothing to address these issues or responding to what are major flaws in their software making the devices unusable. There are no updates or fixes. It is time for consumers to contact AMAZON, COSTCO, LOWES, etc... directly regarding carrying faulty products in their main product lines.
All of the Feit Smart Devices perform their base functions as advertised... but with disastrous limitations. 1) Response time on their 'automation' makes that functionality useless in many cases... as you are at the mercy of their corporate control center's response time. 2) The system is TOTALLY dependent on Feit's corporate servers to keep your house alive. If Feit fails as a company OR if they decide turn off their servers, ALL of your lights/device are TOTALLY USELESS. Other company's have the ability to communicate directly with the device without being connected to the manufacturer's corporate servers (which are likely in China) 3) If your internet connection goes down... for ANY REASON.... your entire house of Feit products is DEAD. Yes. You read that correctly. DEAD. I didn't find that out until I had about $900 invested in lights/cameras/sensors. Everything was fine until out internet died because of a ISP failure for three days. My whole house was useless until the internet came back up. I'm throwing everything 'Feit' away.
The app is a disaster. It turns itself on an off at random, The bulb is fine but it is MUCH easier to just turn it on and off at the switch than struggle with an app the might or might not do what it is programmed to do. Half the time it simply turns off the scheduled programming on its own. I was given this bulb and app at no cost and believe me it is not worth it.
Garbage. Spent an hour following the instructions. An hour watching you tube videos just to find out the instructions are garbage. Finally got the first bulb installed. App took me to a screen where I can control the colors and other settings. Hurray finally works or so I thought. Turned everything off. Oops when I restart app the light bulb I just installed is no where to be found. Congrats on having an incompetent software development department. Freaking 2021 hire someone who knows what they are doing and make an app that works according to instructions.
I have MY smart plug scheduled to turn on lights at 8 PM. The lights are turning on at 6 PM. If I turn them off, they turn on again at the correct scheduled time (8 PM). I can’t find a reason for the lights to turn on at 6 PM. I deleted the schedule but the lights went on at 6. I also tried resetting the wifi connection.
Today, April 21 I tried to contact with support of felt electric by chart. Waited long time and than got message that impossible to get help now, all are busy. They recommended chose other way for contact, and i choose e-mail. Unfortunately nobody contact with me by e-mail. So, tomorrow I am going to Costco and return felt electric product.
