**LONG**
I've been seeing the “No results” problem reported here frequently, so I'll address this before talking about my own question.
If you're seeing "No results" after using the search bar, there's a way to resolve it. A comment on YouTube suggests that "If the search bar isn’t working ... open the app go to playlist and then go to top 100 watch any songs in there and the search bar should work after that" (courtesy of Martin Lance). In other words, open up any random default playlist in Player GR, choose a song to play, and then the search bar should work. Note that your chosen song does not have to be played for the entire duration—a couple seconds will suffice.
I hope that helps those who are experiencing similar issues. Moving on to my question.
I recently purchased a new iPhone and am currently in the process of caching all of my songs again. That being said, I’ve noticed a few differences:
1). My new phone immediately says "cached" whenever I begin loading a song as opposed to only when the song is truly "cached". This was not the case with my old phone.
2). Editing the history/order of my songs always gives the pop-up of “Add To Now Playing”, “Add to Favorites”, “Add to Playlist”, and “Delete” after each move/placement.
The latter is a very minor bug that I don't really mind. After all, I don't edit the history of my songs much at all. The former, however, is giving me a lot of trouble.
Some of my songs download pretty slowly. Sometimes, the orange bar would be full, and I'd think the song is completely cached, yet upon playing the song, it actually becomes silent towards the end despite the player still running, indicating that the song was not fully cached to begin with.
As such, I was wondering if it’s possible to delete a song, or at the very least, uncache it, and then try to recache it again?
So far, whenever I “delete” a song, it disappears from my history, but whenever I search for it again, it still shows that it is “cached”, but the parts that didn’t load from before are still silent as well.
I hope someone can help me!
