SignUpGenius has no benefits vs. using the sign up genius website, and is actually slower and clunkier. For a daily sign up, it defaults to beginning of the month, with no full calendar view option as on the website. So, it takes quite a bit of time to scroll through each day to get to the date you’re looking for—especially at month’s end. As well, there is no option for notifications of new sign becoming available or to notify of imminent events you’ve signed up for. Also, there is no direct link to calendar app; in order to link to calendar you need to open the confirmation email and insert it from there. Save your time and use website (which is also ad-riddled and not so great but at least it’s quicker).

I love this app. The web version is fantastic. It blows my mind that such a great site has such a horrible and useless app. Basically, SignUpGenius is just a dashboard for very little. You can sign in easily and click on your signups but then it takes you out to the website for any signup management. And trying to manage the website on a mobile device is next to impossible. They don’t even have a mobile-friendly website interface. I would expect SignUpGenius to allow you to see a mobile-optimized screen for easily managing your signups, viewing available signups, and creating a signup. To the developers of this app - please get with the times and get a proper mobile app!!!

Sign-up Genius, you have a great product! But, your app is terrible. Very clunky to navigate, and no real benefits over the website. Love the website, but it is difficult to navigate on my phone. Was looking forward to SignUpGenius making things easier with multiple sign ups to manage, but that’s definitely not the case.

Some suggestions:
Collapse past due dates so the user doesn’t have to scroll through two pages to get to the current date. I need access to past due dates, but I don’t want to scroll through them to get to today’s date.

Get rid of the cookies message that appears at the bottom every time I open SignUpGenius . I selected Got It once, don’t make me do this every time, it’s annoying.

Don’t make me turn the page to get to the next set of dates. All of the dates should be on one page and I should be able to keep scrolling down to see them.

I’m sure I could come up with more, but in my limited time using SignUpGenius , this is what I’ve got.

This is a great idea but SignUpGenius needs work. People who are signed up should be able to add the group they want and see it easy. Not have to keep searching for the person who created it. How about a calendar view in SignUpGenius with a way to highlight all your signup and when.

Down loaded and signed up for the program 2x. Despite being very careful to enter all of my information correctly SignUpGenius continued to tell me that my email or password is wrong. After a few perplexed attempts SignUpGenius locked me out for 5 days. However, I was able to log in on the computer with no issues. That is until SignUpGenius locked me out, which then also locked me out of the website. I wanted a program that allows people to log in via computer or smart device. However, this one sadly isn’t working.

Use the website instead. SignUpGenius isn’t intuitive to use at all. The most annoying thing so far is the ‘favorites’ list of signups are not visible from SignUpGenius at all. The only way to view a signup you have not used in the past is to continuously search the email each time you wish to look for the signup events. SignUpGenius is poorly organized while not adding anything to the web service.

I want SignUpGenius to work SO bad but sadly it does not. I can open SignUpGenius but when I click on a sign up it takes me from SignUpGenius to the website. I can sign up on the website, however it doesn’t have me automatically signed in. So I either need to sign in every time or sign up as a guest... not convenient when I’m using this “app” everyday. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling SignUpGenius but it still does not work.

Not much!! Really! Look at the versions history - every one mentions “improvements” but it still is a worthless app, “improved” by nerds who don’t have a CLUE!!
None the less, there is a great need for something serving the intended purpose so … people use it anyway!!
Come on, nerds, hire someone who has coding talent AND a clue about quality output and user friendly considerations. Thanks, in advance.

SignUpGenius has been around for several years with no improvements. Not only does SignUpGenius not add any features not already on the site, it removes some. As a creator it doesn’t allow me to do anything but run reports. Not able to edit or manage my event at all on SignUpGenius . You’re better off using the mobile website.

I didn’t have trouble signing in like some, but there’s not much to SignUpGenius. It’s basically identical to the mobile version of the website, which has very limited functionality. You’d do better installing a link to the full site on your homescreen. Hoping they develop this into a real app!

I’ve been using SignUpGenius for years and have always loved it. However tonight when i tried to use it on my iPad, iPhone, etc i was bombarded every 5 seconds with a hack attempt from “Win a gift card” to the point where I literally could not complete the sign up. I ended up exiting out of your app and going with your competitor.

I continue to work with this as I need it but I need a
version for a blonde.
My biggest struggle was setting it up ( I hired a Mayo Clinic analysts to do it)
and once that was done it’s not intuitive. I manage to do it but I’m going thru multiple steps that probably aren’t necessary.
Why is your website easier than SignUpGenius ?

I guess it serves a slight purpose b/c you can see your signups. However, without a way to create, edit or manage sign-ups, its not very useful. SignUpGenius seems mostly made to advertise to you; which makes sense b/c its free. I’ll probably just delete it and use the website when I have to.

More often than not, SignUpGenius links me too the web version via a web browser on my phone. It basically doesn’t do much as an app :/

SignUpGenius sounds great and I'd love to use it, however after going through the sign up process it won't let you into the actual app. It keeps saying user name or email is invalid. I even clicked on the link they emailed me after registration, but still a no go. Guess I'll be looking for a different app to use.

For the popularity of “Sign-up Genius”, I’m astonished that this is the “app” they have available. It does next to nothing. You can see what you have signed up for… that’s it. You can’t create a sign up or manage your account at all. It’s just a portal to the full website. What a missed opportunity.

There’s no issue to sign in and out via computer. I thought it will be helpful to use SignUpGenius...WRONG!!!! Just wanted my time and made me frustrated, I could not log in with same email address and password. It kept asking me that “wrong email address or password”. I should’ve read other people’s review first. Useless app!

SignUpGenius allows me to easily let me check on my sign-ups when I’m out of the office at events.

I don’t understand the point of SignUpGenius. It doesn’t allow me, the organizer, to edit the signup. You have to go to the website to do that? And there’s no link to the website from SignUpGenius ? What’s the point of SignUpGenius then?

Great idea, and I can definitely sign up for a slot in SignUpGenius . But I’m the organizer of the event and I can’t find how to edit the signup or even copy a link to send outside SignUpGenius .

This company’s program has been broken for several years. I just created a sign up and it’s gone. I hit save. I made sure I was logged in etc. The help tells me to click on links that are not there. Not worth free

SignUpGenius is awful. I’m not sure the purpose of it. You can’t make a sign up from it, and you can’t view anything you have created, but not taken live. You have to go to the “full site” to do anything constructive, so why bother having an app?!?!

It would be helpful to be able to find signups without having the organizer’s email address. The way it is now you can’t search for an organization. This is useless to me because I wasn’t given an email address to enter.

I submitted my email and password combination and I could not gain access. I reset the password using the smart password generated by the system and it still doesn’t work. #useless

Downloaded this to help me create and manage sign ups. SignUpGenius doesn’t have the functionality to create new ones. Will be deleting. Not worth the screen or storage space on my phone...
