Too much ptw

This game is fun. I even preordered it, but deleted it and decided I will come back later. It has evolved a lot, but there is just too much pay to win. I am in the early stage, silver 5, on world 3. But even with the amount of prizes you get in completing the adventure mode, these will become increasingly less valuable as you continue to play. Most of the fun that comes with this game is it’s multiple characters, which you have to pay for. You can also pay to get weapons that deal up to 30,000 damage per hit, or entire ultimate sets which in the early game, is impossible to beat, because of how the pvp works. It’s the same thing as pve. You slash, but not much dodging. So most fights just come down to who can jump on the other first, or who has the shorter cooldown. I do like the game at my stage so far, but I do see how this game will inevitably hit a wall. Players will stop, because it’s mindless spamming for pvp. Unless you guys somehow manage to pull through with adding more or changing pve, this game, as I’ve said before, will hit a wall. You have already exhausted most of what you can put in mid game and early game for pvp, so now you have to add things to only late game players for pvp. Though, there is a sliver of hope through overhauling or additions to pve. Along with the fact that people will get bored of playing the same character.

Enjoyable

I preordered the game and don’t regret it. But it does have some problems. I got an uncommon Soul Eater for Max before the end of the first dungeon and after magic+ weapons became available, the game just stopped dropping weapons in battle period. I had to use some of my gems after hitting hard mode because my damage was not getting the job done and I don’t think the vendor sells anything higher than uncommon items.
The exp system is a little... iffy. I have the max skill points I can have invested in exp up and it still gives me only a tiny portion of my bar each fight. I’m not expecting to level up with each encounter but the first two or three levels you could watch your bar get a decent bit filled each battle but then when you’re needing a level up because you can’t get better gear and wyvern is kicking your backside, it’s not the best time.
I’m a little confused about what happened to the story. It starts setting this world up and hen you have three levels and that’s it? It’s a bit baffling.
And the wyvern’s desperation move is a bit hard to dodge when it comes up through the floor since you can’t see it and the hit box is not clear at all.
But other than that, I’ve spent half my day playing this instead of being productive, so it’s doing something right.

Pretty decent game, terrible PvP

I’ve been playing this game for a week or so, and I really enjoy the campaign and all of the unique enemies. I love the challenge raids and the challenge tower, but the duel arena may be the most broken mode ever. Regularly, you will either encounter a hacker that has riddled with their hitbox to make it impossible to hit them, or you will encounter a pay-to-play player who easily kills you and downranks you. Either that, or unresponsive controls will doom you to being stuck at silver 5. The PvP mode could be changed to match players based on attack and health stats as opposed to randomly matching stronger players with weaker players.

Edit: The PvP has proven itself to be literal trash. I don’t know who has responsible for the op bots/ pay to win player matchmaker but they should be fired. The complete and utter lack of planning is clear.
Edit: Again, I cannot stress enough the lack of competency in the PvP game design. Having reached Bronze 1 and feeling very proud, I proceeded to lose to a series of higher level players that had power/attack levels and overall levels that completely outmatched my own. I’ve upgraded my gear as much as I can, and I still lose. I came back to this game with high hopes, and am leaving disgusted by the games lack of planning for PvP

Device Sharing - Not

It’s been years since I played a 2D combat scroller. The simplicity is nice all across the board. Would have rated this 4 stars as the fun factor is there especially if you feel like going old school gaming for a change of pace; but currently it appears the game cannot be shared across multiple devices with different OS platforms. I own multiple devices that use both google play and IOS. I was surprised after using my FB account to save my data, I could not retrieve it via my other devices that used the opposite platform. This is actually shocking. As a programmer myself, surprised management approved this decision and allowed it to ship out this way. I always make it a point before I make a purchase to make sure stuff works cross platform. It’s been 4 hours since I installed and still cannot load the save from my original device. The other issue that keeps this from getting a 4 star review is that customer support is not provided in-game. Sure you can email them, but I don’t even bother. Without a direct link from my game account to their support desk, no way I will make a purchase and risk the hassle of trying to get issues resolved as they may arise - especially issues involving real money transactions.

I wish I could give it 5.

So I’m addicted to this game. I played since the morning after it got released and I’ve unlocked all the characters, my Max has almost all legendary equipment and a legendary pet, and the rest of them are getting there. But after I hit a certain point in the achievements I’m not getting enough crystals to get stronger. Also not enough soul and exp are given. There’s no way for me to awaken my equipment because I barely have enough to upgrade them one level at a time. Also I don’t spend money so my pet, while insanely strong, will never get awakened. Other than that this is a really nice game. The story needs work the 3 levels are a bit annoying to do over and over, and whenever I need to level up to keep going or do a level in the tower it takes forever to grind it, especially with limited stamina. I really love this game but there’s just so many small in-game issues. As a game it’s a good idea and definitely something I’ll be playing for a while if I can figure out how to get more crystals.

Underrated

I initially downloaded this game off a facebook add thinking it looked too good to be true. The intro was a bit confusing, but needless to say i stayed up for 4 hours playing it the first night. Every game has teo currencies, one an easy to get one for normal day to day purchases and another hard to get one that most games make you pay money for. This game doesnt do that, theres an amazing balance of grinding but not needing to grind too much to be able to get both forms of currency. Yes therr are random “loot box” type stuff but its not one size fits all. You can garuntee a weapon, or armor, or etc the only chance part is the rarity and theyre not too expensive for the in game currency. The characters are awesome, the pets and costumes are well designed and the level of variety is great. All around this is an amazing game and id like to see it expand alot in the future
As long as updates come
Ill continue to play

Good but has some problems I find unfair

I have a iOS and a Samsung I pre-ordered this game on iOS and got the game free on Samsung. I found that on Samsung you can get all the characters for free despot your level, but on iOS you have to buy the characters with real life money or gets certain level. I find this vary unfair and despite me buying the pre ordered version on my iOS every time I want to play I go on my Samsung to play with the different characters. My cousin that only have iOS complain to me and are bummed that they can use the other characters. I try not to you the other characters when I’m with them but they know I have them I would like to let them have the characters but I understand that y’all got to make money so you charge money for the characters, I’m not complaining about how you run your game but I just find it unfair (I still have y’all a 5). ;)

Good Lord Please Fix This Game

When I first played this game, I had a blast. However as I got to the Hard Wyvern Boss, it all started to go downhill. I’ll admit, I am not the best gamer, but when bosses pull off rediculous moves, I begin to feel a little tilted. For example, the when the wyvern boss was at 2%, it went into its shadow move where it throws a bunch of shadows of itself at you. Right when it finished and came back, I used a skill on it to finish it off. However when the boss immediately used the shadow move once again at 1% and finished me off with a barrage of unavoidable shadows as I was left in a corner while trying to kill it. It also slightly annoys me that whenever you enter a boss room, a cut scene plays, but then your character is still moving it place messing up the sound effects. The black loading screen right after that also is a hinderance, but not nearly as much as the wyvern spamming his invulnerability.

Other than that, it is a solid game and I am looking forward to its improvement.

Extremely fun game!! But...

I love most aspects of this game it’s extremely fun to slash and make things go BOOM!

Only things I don’t like so far:

1) Creatures can knock you down with basic attacks but yours can’t knock them back or down. (Not balanced).

2) you shouldn't have to pay soul for removing runes that’s excessive. As well as crafting, if this is the case the return on salvaging equipment should be much greater!

3) I feel like you should be able to group up for the raid boss? Maybe give different characters different roles with different purposes. (Have any questions email me, I’ll give you guys some ideas)!

4) lack of content! While the content that is there is fun, I’d like to suggest having different climbs for different objectives. I’m example: “Abyss of Cthulhu.” Which would have different levels of difficulty like the rest of your content. This type
Of content would be geared towards obtaining large amounts soul only. Then another one called “The Dragons Den.” Who h would have the same set up but would be focused toward crystal. And so on.

Again if you would like some ideas I would love to share. Maybe we can work something out :) I can also help design monsters if needed! I hope I hear back from y’all

Honestly.... eh?

Allow me to start this by saying this is an amazing game, with great potential and it was seriously fun, up until I beat the “campaign” deal they have. After that there’s just no direction. They have raids and pvp and the blood tower, but why would I play pvp and get spammed to the point where I can’t do anything until I die? The blood tower and raids seem okay, but to get a good foothold In those I have to repeat the story over and over and over, the same thing over and over. I get that there should be a grind, but I feel they are relying on the “massive sales” for you to get gear, aka paying to win. I love the game, and I get its new and needs time for updates, but I feel there should have been a little more content to hold us over until some major update occurs. Once again, great potential but less content then I thought there would be after waiting 2+ months for a game that had probably been in development long before I started to wait.

Good game

This game is play like the old arcade games were played, picture and graphics are a lot better tho, really addictive and enjoyable, but the only issue I’m having is getting better weapons but I guess is cause I’m only level 5 and the game gets harder as you progress through the adventure mode levels and weapons you earn don’t seem to get any stronger, tried to make my first purchase but it gives me a fail message, I don’t know if is cause my level still low or what but so far the game is fun and I’ll try to update as I progress throughout the game. Ok purchased issue has been fixed and I’m loving the power up now I can honestly say that this game is the best I actually stopped playing my other games just to try to level up and get even stronger. Great work Developers

Lots of Promise

This game is ADDICTING, it’s the perfect combination of difficulty and fun all in the palm of your hand for FREE! However with this there are some things that I feel hurt the games experience. The hit boxes are a bit wonky and I understand this is mobile but pls try to get them even as possible. :) Lastly I think that the gems are very easy to come by making lower difficulty such as Normal and Hard a breeze but the souls are a lot more scarce. If there could be an easier way to get souls or make the upgrades less that would be awesome. I know I already said lastly but I have to say that I love the jump in difficulty from hard mode to hell I got one shotted a good ten time before beating the level and the amount of pride I felt was immense. LOVE THE GAME, KEEP THE GOOD STUFF COMING 🤪

Progress save problems?

This is a pretty fun snd game and I really like the pvp ranking system. My only issue is that I deleted the game a few months back for storage reasons and then got a new phone so I decided to get the game again. I tried to load my saved game and it just wasn’t working. My connection is fine and I’m using the same account to load it but it just shows the loading icon for hours (I decided to leave it while I did other stuff). I spent a fair bit of time and money on level grinding but more importantly on my skins so that my characters looked cool. Sad times:/

Tl;dr it’s a fun game but I can’t load my saved game and I don’t really feel like grinding again. Also if my full story was too long and you’re reading this instead you got issues quill (gotg)

Very promising...but algorithm and updates messed it up

This game seemed promising and is very enjoyable. However, some of the potential upgrades are not guaranteed. I don’t mind spending some $ to support the developers and have bought crystals to trade for weapons card, but kept getting lower grade weapons. Also used an ore to add more sockets, but instead it removed the one I had. It’s frustrating when you spend $ to improve equipment, it gives you stuff that is weaker than what you have. I could have easily given this 5 stars, but equipment upgrade is very deceiving.

Updated Review:
The PvP is whack...don’t know what algorithm they are using. The program was putting the damage on my character for the hits I was dealing on the AI. If this continues, I will be deleting the game.

More review:
Developers definitely rigged the PvP’a AI difficulty to force you into spending more money just to keep up with gameplay.
I had a level 52 character with 62K survivability, and lost badly to a level 45 opponent with a 34K survivability. In addition, it is so obvious in the gameplay...especially when my character had 450 mobility, and yet my AI opponent who had 400 mobility was still moving faster than me. Especially executing special moves.

Update:
Developer responded, stating to leave any recommendations. My whole post was addressing concerns and issues. Clearly you guys don’t read the reviews.

Decent But Needs Some Tweaks

So I just started playing and I’m having a great time. The mechanics are interesting and unique, while I don’t die super often it can get challenging depending on monster mechanics. However it seems that the game and especially ads are bugged to hell. Occasionally I’ll be in the midst of a zone and my game just all up and crashes out straight to homescreen and not just during gameplay but when I try to watch an ad for a boost or items or whatever the ad will play and finish then go to a blank black screen that will not change until I restart my game leaving me back before the crash having wasted time watching the ad but getting nothing from it. I wish there was an easier way for me to contact someone to help but only thing I can do is post this review and hope someone sees it since there is no contact info in the game.

Quickly reveals the lie

Probably one of the best hack and slash 2d by 3 stage fights (man that’s becoming common) game you play... that is until area 3 where the enemies attack damage is given a major boost and they all become ho sponges. It does the usual of showering you with beginning game gems, claimable quest, upgradeable gear... then just becomes an obvious cash grab. Even with enhanced items or purchasing available gear with the allotted gems and currency, it becomes a tedious button masher with little payoff. Has potential.

Pros: awesome graphics, music, Sfx. Gritty in all the ways you want.

Showers you with beginning content, especially in game currency.

Cons: but...game currency is the standard over inflated garbage you’ve come to expect. So the amount is irrelevant.

Very typical standardized 3 part stage system excessively used by similar games.

Literally just a walk on a flat surface through 3 rounds of press buttons.

Unresponsive jump control, fight some of the mobs that require you to jump more than once and find out.

Ready to put points into passive skills with little payoff? (Looking at you item drop ratio)

Look at the quest that says: OPEN CARD SHOP. What it actually means: PURCHASE from the card shop. Makes a difference.

Hope to see something other than a generic button masher with pretty graphics. Guess that’s up to the developer.

Beauty of Shadow of Death

I would like to thank you for making this game, it’s amazing how good the combat and visuals are. And I appreciate that I’m not bombarded with ads like many games that are of this quality but I also appreciate how you can progress quicker by watching the ads. The wide arrange of things you can do to improve your character is amazing and reminds me when I was younger and would play similar games on my computer. One bad thing I have to say is that the combat could be improved when it comes to combos as a wider range of patterns in attacks would make this game even better. Thank you for the game and I hope you move on to making even bigger things.

Long time waiting and well worth it!

So after playing this game for a while I’ve got a few things to say about it and all are good besides one critique. First when you load the game it feels smooth and immersive something you could get lost in playing. Second although the characters aren’t fleshed out it makes it clear what the purpose of the game is “Farm Souls and Kill Goals”. Third the upgrade systems is rather easy after a tad bit of reading. The only thing I’d change is the UI making maybe a separate page for the “Sell Out” and condenses some of the other things into a few pages. But overall well worth a 5/5.

Good until you reach Hell level

Overall game isn’t bad, dropped around $7 on Max to reach Hell level by opening the soul and crystal jar, however, starting from insane level, you lose 100% your soul in the bank and have to fight over the level to get it back. I admit that I’m a decent gamer I can dodge most of the boss skills to get over the annoying Wyven life steal attacks, but once you reach Hell level, the minions will one shot you so you have to be perfect by not getting any hits at all. It’s unbalanced, and getting ultimate equipments are too hard. Crafting and disassembling legendary items don’t even get you any single ultimate dusts. It’s ridiculous. It’s frustrating me to getting one shot by Hell level minions, and I can’t have any souls to boost my items. Starting to lose hope already :/

Okay Game - Broken PvP

This game has a lot potential but is just the same levels over and over with different degree of difficulty.

The tower is nice but is also limited to tickets that reset every 7-8hrs. This is different from other games with towers in that you are restricted by not only gear but also tickets. Remove the tickets because no one wants to wait for something that’s suppose to help with progression.

Okay - now PvP. This needs to be fixed. I play as Quinn. She’s my favorite toon but after playing as her the gross oversight by the development in balancing PvP is obvious. The chances of getting I interrupted when casting is high. Abilities that should knock over or stop opponent from casting fail.

The smaller guy with a sword has the ability to whirlwind you and prevent you from moving while he beats on you and the huge hulk like guy is immune and can ram into you. Is also large enough that getting around him is impossible because he takes up the entire area.

Either reduce the amount of damage they can cause as they are more tank type and less DPS. Or increase the damage output from Quinn and make her abilities uninterruptible.

The game has potential but these little issues will cause fast gamer boredom.
