Did you buy this game out of nostalgia? Do you remember spending hours leveling up and playing through complex and engaging levels? Well, put that memory to rest. Death Worm has fallen prey to the Monetization Monster. At some point in the last decade, our favorite mobile games were converted to monetized to Pay For Play (or should I say Pay for Prey) models targeted at children with access to their parents credit cards. It is a scam, and demonstrates the regression of mobile gaming in the worst ways.

This of course, did not initially deter me from playing the game. So what? Watch some ads and get your level-ups. However, if you play too frequently without paying, the game starts killing your worm arbitrarily despite having a full health bar. If you continue to play without purchasing upgrades, the game will lock your power ups behind 3 separate ads—requiring you to watch 1:30 minutes of more Pay for Prey games.

It is truly a shame how mobile gaming has devolved into shameless scamming on DeathWorm Store. Death Worm is no exception.

I really love this game still, it’s still hits hard of nostalgia for me. I remember playing this game on my iPad when I was like 4-5. The only thing I dislike is having to upgrade the worm in order to pretty much keep playing the campaign. It’s not the worst thing in the world and I’m pretty sure other people like it. The good thing that comes from that is that means that the developers are still trying to improve the game and make it better. If anyway possible make a switch to where we can switch between the old and new. (Just kidding the new version is slightly better). Best of Luck to the developers and people how made the game. I will love this game for years to come.

Played this when I was like 4-7 on my old ipad, had fun but deleted it... Now present day I redownloaded it and the nostalgia is hitting.

If you hate this game, atleast show reasons, and then don’t call it trash, if you do so, with your knowledge, go script a game and and see how you feel about it, maybe good, but what do others think... now your in the creator boots possibly, and now you understand that a review isnt something to criticize just because they are making money off of ads, in fact this game is a blessing because they dont give out ads every time you finish and start a level, so be happy for these peoples work.

This game used to be absolutely amazing. It used to be one of my favorite games ever. After recently seeing it in DeathWorm Store, I decided to download it and I really wish I hadn’t. They did an “update” that completely changed the game. Before you were completing tasks to earn upgrade points and collecting fireballs and super jumps. There were also like 10 things to upgrade and you could play as long as you wanted.

Now the fireballs and super jumps reload after a certain amount of time. You can’t upgrade your worm in-game and you need to collect or buy coins to upgrade your worm. There’s only 4 things to upgrade and you can’t go super fast along the surface anymore. There’s more screens with options to pay money instead of just loading the game and picking the location you want to play at.

This game turned into a mainstream app designed to take your money.

For people who don’t want to read the full review just know ads and energy to play. I figure with free games they gotta make money but guys pick your poison. either do ads or do the energy to play not both! Like it’s so toxic. I won’t be able to play endlessly because you limit us with energy, which are the worst kinda games. they just force you to pay money that way or not play the game, but ads on top of that? come on now don’t get greedy. Least with some other games they do one or the other. liking the game play. got it is well put together. does not use to much cpu or memory forcing my phone to over heat. Controls are simple to learn and use. over all its been fun to play so far they did do a good job on the game it self. They also do the season pass thing.

Sweet game. It's a lot of fun. Except when I lose, I can choose to continue by watching an ad and re-filling 50% of my health. But while I'm watching the ad the timer is still going down. So when the ad finishes I just go back to the worm selection menu. I'm not able to continue by watching an ad.
Other than that this game is great. A lot of fun and a bit addicting.
One thought I had while playing is, that it would interesting to add a feature that allows me to re-fill my worm's health by eating the various lizards that are burrowing in the earth with the worm.

I liked it Because they have a little bit of adds and they don’t constantly make force you to watch an add and nothing is wrong with the game they tried there best to make this game and I like it a lot so that’s why I rate is a 5 star
The game has no bugs that I know of they game is not to hard or to easy and I play this game when I’m bored and I like this more then Most of the games I play

I hate you have to have energy or real money to keep playing. Just a classic money scheme that makes me want to not play the game at all. I hate the progressive level up of the worm instead of how it used to be when you start as a small and slow worm and level yourself up throughout the map. I also hate that you now always have boost instead of having to work for it and get the blue or orbs. I like that the developers are still doing stuff with the game. I like the new graphics and such but i just wish there was and option or setting to make it so you can play the game how it used to be.

It’s so cool u get to play as a big worm monster! The first time I played was a long time ago and I ended up deleting it but now I have more time to play it bc I’m older and it’s awesome! I’m glad I saw the ad for it and downloaded it bc if I didn’t see that ad again I would’ve been bored. Anyways, again this game is awesome pls play and enjoy! Also do a 5 star review!

I have loved and adored playing death worm for a few years, even playing the same levels over and over again (mainly the blitz levels), but now I am more than likely going to delete DeathWorm . It’s now heavily filled with ads and the fact that I have to either wait for more energy to continue playing or pay for unlimited energy or a season pass is just such a sell out. I was #1 on leader board for most of the levels on the old version, and now, I can’t play long enough to know if there even is a leader board anymore, and sadly I don’t even care to. Highly, highly disappointed with the update.

The game is great and I really enjoy it but there is one error within the game. When a mission is failed there is an option to watch an ad to regain half life. Every time I watch the ad, it takes me back to the mission screen with a loss after the ad is over. I used to play this before on a Samsung and the ad worked perfectly but ever since downloading it on an iPhone this issue has been a problem.

this game brings giant worms from nightmares and movies ( i’ll get into that later) to life. the reference is the last worm on the page of worms ( not including the battle pass worms ) if people watched tremors ( a movie about giant worm like creatures terrifying a small town in Perfection, Nevada ) they know what this is but if you don’t know go watch it. 11/10 great game

I remember this game as a fun and silly game where I could mess around and do whatever I wanted without having to worry about being good, just a fun sandbox game. Now it's a mission based game with immeasurable amounts of grinding to get to the next world, not to mention the new worms, they're extremely hard to get and the balance of the game seems like it is trying to slow-down F2P players and try and grab the players whi are willing to pay to progress in the game. Ruined my childhood. It feels like an insult to my childhood. Bad and grindy game, you'll quit within a week, DON'T PLAY. >:(

I think you should be able to stay where the military is and also the game is more OP and you can have fake partners to help you and also there should be new modes and the game should be easier plus new animals where you can fly be invisible burst or just more stuff pls (Update The Game Plz)

Sometimes I go look in the dirt after rain and I try to find worms. Once there was a worm in water and I bring it back to dirt but it was dead I think. That was sad to me. But there was another worm in water and I brang it to dirt and it was alive. I saved the worm!.
I like this game because you could be a worm and get to be new worm. Thank for making this game

This game is so much better than I remmember it being! I played this when I was little and I enjoyed it a lot. I just downloaded this game when I remmembered it one day and WOW, it has changed so much! The game is amazingly well done and gave me a bit of a nostalgia. Other than that, great job on the game.

The game is fine, refined up and monetized back down to the fun level of the original with a bit slower pace. but it’s been frustrating that whenever I try to watch an ad to revive (you get one chance if the level is randomly more dangerous than usual) the ad ends and I’m dead anyway. Why bother with the ad if it won’t actually revive? I even heard it start playing game music while the ad was playing one time.

I just re-downloaded this game thinking it would be fun but now every single time I go into the second boss fight all my attacks are weakened and the opponents stun you and make you lose all your turns every time. You people are lucky that y’all have good graphics or else I would rate this game a one star. You developers need to fix this issue so no one else has to scream into their pillows for comfort

I Really don’t know what to say.I,m very happy that you have come back to this game and given it attention.I use to play this game when I was about 9 or 10 and after coming back to it, I couldn’t be more happy,Thank You.I can see this game in the future being beyond perfect. Great Job!

This game is the best game in my opinion I really like it and it makes my day. I would advice everyone to play it. Now I have a question, do you add more content to this game because I really would like more content. Please update the game and don’t leave it and keep up the good work

I used to play this game all the time as a kid but I uninstalled when I did everything because I found it boring but today I felt like installing it again and I’m already having a blast! I love the rework as well it feels more fresh and there’s lots of new content

The game is as great as I remember, but I don't appreciate the micro transactions. Although the new monatary system is something to do away with, the game itself is just like I remember. The levels still have the same design as before, and the gameplay is addicting, and fun.

I’m about to turn 12 and I used to play this when I was super little with my mom we played a lot of video games together because she can’t walk very well due to a birth defect she still has it but this definitely brings me back
