The game is overall good, but the one complaint I have is the encounter mechanic where you reach a certain range of levels and somebody approaches and challenges you. To start this off, the enemy is WAY too hard. Typically impossible, insane if lucky, and it’s one of those “If you get hit more than 3-4 times, you’re dead but you have to hit me at least 40 times, and also, you still lose 1/5 of your health if you block” impossible. There is an option where you can go to the shop and buy yourself a new weapon or armor to help you out, but every time I didn’t have any money to do anything so I don’t see much point in that. If you upgraded your equipments frequently, you might win, but if you’re one of those people that save up their money to upgrade your weapon to the next level without repeating survival mode more than 10 times, you’re not in luck. And every time you try to walk away after you lost, May will stop you telling not to, giving you a reason. When this happened to me in act 6, she said that I can’t let anyone have a doubt in my identity, which made me feel like I was screwing up the entire storyline and made me feel guilty, even though I tried my best using all the gems I had to retry the battle. And also you need to realize that you can’t fight these guys again. No chance; you lose, you will never get the exclusive weapon, no retry after you walk away. I think how y’all designed the encounter mechanic is pretty unfair.

This is another brilliant mobile game from the folks at Nekki. They knocked my socks off with Vector years ago so I was happy to give Shadow Fight a try. I was immediately enamoured with the visual style. But I soon found myself frustrated with the controls. The virtual joystick took some getting used to, as did the timing of action moves. It ain't like Street Fighter, where you can rip off a sequence of fast punches or kicks with quick button taps. Here, once an action move has been initiated, its animation sequence is slower and more deliberate and cannot be interrupted; if you swing your blades too soon you can be left going through the motions while your adversary pummels you with a more precisely timed attack. As I said, even though the gameplay took me a long while to get comfortable with I'm glad to have kept trying, as I can now progress through the game at a rate that allows me to unlock new weapons, armor, and levels faster than the speed of a glacier. You need to win fights to get money...keep losing and you won't be upgrading your fighter...yada yada yada. I used to like this game a lot but nowadays, I can see how flawed this game actually is. You run out of energy too quickly, you rarely get any gems without sitting through grueling ads, the final boss is just cheap (I’ve attempted over 30 times with all of my equipment upgraded to max and with enchantments), this game encourages to do survival multiple times and burn out your energy until you barely have enough money to afford the weapons and armor you need (you don’t even earn that much money from defeating all the enemies, it just becomes a frustratingly boring task), and you rarely ever have enough gems to spend on weapons if you don’t watch the ads. Also, if you do any of the gem tasks, you don’t even earn any gems. I’ve done multiple surveys and tried out multiple apps and I didn’t receive any gems, it just ended up being a big waste of time. Oh, and one last thing, what reason was there to remove ascension entirely? I was planning on waiting until I got to max level to get the monk set (which the game doesn’t even tell you that it’s best to wait until you were max level so you don’t have to constantly upgrade it, same when fighting the demons and receiving their weapons) but that plan has been cancelled entirely. It’s a shame, I really actually like the combat system, cutscenes, and soundtrack but this game just seems very greedy when playing the free version.

I love this game. Its amazing. The fighting is cool the story is actually pretty good even if others think its not. This game is just amazing. Most people complain that its too hard. Well fighting demons was never easy. You got to work to achieve stuff and need to have the skills. Ok well lynx the first boss was a little tough but that's beside the point. Also people complain that the wepons cost too much gems. Well some do but there are perfectly fine wepons that dont cost gems. Also there are complaints that the storys bad. Well its not. Its a perfectly fine story and you dont need a long complex story for a fighting game. Basically you a very cool guy who made a very big mistake and now your trying to right your wrongs. That might be a bigger story than mortal combat ( i have never played mortal combat so i do not have evedince to prove it) also you dont have to pay to win. You just need the skills and the wepons that dont require gems. I really think you should downlod this game and play it if you have the skills and patience to defete demons. Also the background music is really good. This is a amazing game. You should download this. I love this game. And i'll leave you with a queston

I don’t know if the manufacturers of this game check these reviews, but here goes... So, I really like this game, 5 start material. I'm willing to give it a five, but I've encountered too many errors. First off, I purchased the lowest offer for the gems, offering 150 gems or so on discount for $2.99. I was charged twice (without approval), but only received the 150 gems. I have 4k streaming speed internet and my os is up to date, so receiving in game pop up prompts displaying “check internet connection" I know I need to turn the game off because it's just not going to function properly for the next 30 minutes or so. Which, I know, eventually resulted in this double transaction. Numerous occasions I’ve been ranked first in raids and upon finishing, it loads for a long time and informs me that “your prize was rejected. Please try again”. I hate leaving negative reviews on things I like due to discrepancies, but at the rate these errors are occurring, I had to reach out. The people I’ve recommended this game to have since uninstalled it due to similar issues, so I know it’s not my phone. Fix your system crashes and offer some compensation, or the 2 star rating will remain as is, not that it’s going to hurt your ratings much due to popularity. I just hope you care enough about your users to honor this request. Thanks for anything you could do.

It is personally my favorite game. Although it takes a lot of practice and grinding and losing, that just tells you how much the developers worked on this game to make it challenging and not easy like many other games. This is a unique game and it has a lot of cool armor, spells, etc. the first time I played this I found the right game for me that I will not get tired of playing. even though SH3 is out, I kinda’ think this is better because it has a lot more creativity. I love the graphics and the moves. When I first downloaded this game, I got super strong but then I got a new phone and had to start all over(Samsung to apple that’s why I couldn’t sync my apps).but it was still fun to start over because I was already good at the game so it made it easy for me when I had to start over. Although you could get a major head start if you buy in-game purchases, it’s still fun to play without buying anything. My personal opinion is that I think buying in-game purchases could make the game easy and boring and you are cheating beachside you can’t buy that thing your buying without it so I think it’s cheating. So if you're looking for a free fighting game that’s amazing for you, this is it. SHADOW FIGHT 3!!!

Ok so when I first started playing this game, I was terrible, but I got better. I beat the game and the storyline was awesome! Now I’ve beaten this game 3 times cause I’ve deleted and reinstalled this over and over. I deleted it again and right now I just started the gates of shadows. It took me like a week and a half to get here. Well I took a huge break from this game cause it got a bit boring. Then I came back to it and I had a lot of fun. If you don’t count my huge break from playing this game, I basically got to gates of shadows in a week and a half. This game is great and rarely gets old. I see people complaining about the encounters on when a challenger with a weapon you can obtain by defeating them, there difficulty is impossible. I beat many things on impossible. I beat butcher on impossible. I could tell because I got the achievement impossible fighter. I beat some of the challengers on impossible like nova and ronin and outcast. You just need try harder that’s all. Impossible for me is like hard or insane. The thing I hate is that every time you defeat a NPC you get an ad. Only drawback about the game. Besides that, amazing game Nekki.

This game is just amazing. I have so much fun playing. I completed the game defeating Titan and Tenebris in the underworld. It was an amazing journey. A couple problems though. First, Eclipse May is just impossible to beat, I have everything maxed out even with enchantments, and she still 2 shots me, I also do barely any damage, and when I'm able to do a lot of damage she just gets regeneration from her armor and heals again, which makes her just stupidly impossible, there were some times where I did defeat her but her second phase theres just no chance with the enchantments she gets, and I cant even imagine eclipse titan. Second thing, when it come to raids, its just so fun to do and grind, but then you have all of the rich people who spam that one charge that does 1000 damage. So many people spam that thing giving people like me no chance to get 1st or not being able to fight the boss cause they didn’t inflict enough damage, its really annoying. I would appreciate a nerf on those things. Other than that great game, it was a long journey till the end, and I enjoyed every second of it.

Now don’t get me wrong this is a great game, All the fights are about fair and balanced, My only issue is that once you get to a certain level or passed a certain bodyguard in areas there will be an encounter by some random person picking a fight, most of the time your sitting there you just spent everything you had on upgrades for your weapons and gear and your all set but then you level up immediately after that fight and your now sitting there, asked to fight against someone who has the next level type of items or upgrades which then you have a very low chance of winning let me tell you, What i’m saying is that these random approaches are too sudden and if you lose, you have to pay 5 gems just to rematch and if you don’t, that approach is gone forever, I would say could we at least have a little time for a rematch, you can keep the 5 gen rematch thing I’m just asking for maybe, about a day to rematch the person instead of just losing and then feeling like there was no point in that fight in being there if it wasn’t even possible from the start, I hope this is handy to anyone else having the same issue.

The game is perfect. The fights are smooth and awesome, the music is great, and the designs are amazing. Shadow Fight 2 uses the best progression system I have ever seen. You can advance in multiple ways, even without paying. The first and most obvious is equipment, with better stats as they are upgraded. The weapons feel balanced, and as you play the game, the attacks become more natural, and you can use weapons with similar attacks right from the get go. Second there is the leveling system, with marginally better stats, and the skill tree, which intriduces buffs that you can use to great effect. The third and most satisfying form of progression is your mastery of the fights. Getting better at the game makes even impossible difficulty become a fun challenge that feels balanced. I only have 2 suggestions: first add a new weapon available after beating Titan that is a composite sword you can buy with coins. I really want to try it out, but I'm not allowed to make in app purchases. Second, make the circular saws have a cooldown because you can permanently trap an opponent against the wall for a guaranteed win.

This used to be my favorite mobile game and one of my favorite RPGs, but over time I have discovered a few issues. Up until Titan the feel of the game and the story was great, had almost no issues with anything and overall it was a great experience. When I did get to Titan though it was almost the complete opposite. I understand that he is the final boss of the main story so he should be difficult, but not to the degree that he is. He is one of the most unfair bosses I have ever played against in a video game and he’s just not balanced at all. Firstly, even though All my gear is at the max level possible I still barely do any damage on my attacks and when I do he can just hit me once to get all of his health back. Secondly, he has way too many perks to aid him, it already takes most of the 99 seconds just to defeat him then all of a sudden he gets 25% of his heath back on the final blow just made me fell like I wasted my time, and many more problems that make it almost impossible. Overall the game is good but could use a few improvements, Titan is just designed too poorly and I even spent $40 dollars which feels like a waste of money and my time since I can’t even finish the game.

It's a great game on my second run through BUT sometimes enemies that are supposedly normal difficulty take 20 tries to beat and sometimes impossible difficulty you can beat without taking a single hit. And you upgrade significantly slower then your enemies so sometimes it's super hard and sometimes super easy and very inconsistent. If you have any anger issues you WILL rage quit many times and if you don't have anger issues you might start having anger issues. But over all I loved this game...

But shadow fight 3 is not worth getting. Shadow fight 3 id rate with only 2 stars if even cuz I got it... and it’s probably a 3 star MAYBE 3 1/2 star game... but the duels are PvP duels And once you get to Dan three it starts matching you with people close to DOUBLE YOUR FREAKING POWER!! I am currently on a loosing streak that’s put me down a dan PLUS continued to make me drop almost down to dan ONE. It’s completely unfair I HaTe it repeat, HATE it and it’s ruined my entire experience with shadow fight 3. THEN I went onto the AppStore to give this review but it said I didn’t own it... EVEN THOUGH I WAS FReAkInG JUSY PLAYING IT!! Nekki, get your act together.

This is by far my favorite mobile game of all time. It's perfect. However, as soon as the christmas update came out, (iPhone 8 btw)I've noticed that some moves that require one tap on either feet or hand attack are going into the double tap combo animation. For instance, I'm on act 4, currently using the glaive, and when I use the forward one tap glaive attack that should be only one slash, it turns to the double tap forward attack. I've tested it with other weapons and feet attacks and it's consistent with the problem with the glaive. However, the weapon single tap with no direction is not affected. Works normal. It's not too much of a problem, it's just limiting me from some attacks I really like that help me get high combos. Still definitely deserve the 5 stars, know that this is a small big and will be resolved soon(I hope). I'm just shining some light on it in case it hasn't been spotted yet. For sure, a great game that is hours and hours of unique and fun gameplay, it's great that you get different weapons every level that are most of the time entirely different. Excellent job devs.

I love this game so much and it’s one of my favorite mobile games. To start off, I don’t have service. So I love how wonderful it is to play my favorite game when I’m outside of my house! Usually, my brother doesn’t play with me since he’s older. Once in a while, he’d want me to play fighting games or Battle Royale games. Since it’s an opportunity to play with him, I play whatever game he wants, even though I don’t really like the concept and gameplay of Battle Royales/fighting games. I was trying to find a game that you didn’t have to use WiFi to play, so I could play with him on the go, and when I downloaded it I didn’t even use it for the purpose that I downloaded it for! Me and my brother enjoy this game very much, and it definitely brings us to a smooth bond! This was the perfect one! All of the games that you don’t need WiFi to play that I have downloaded right now are only games that I play when I don’t have WiFi available. This game is something that I play over a daily bases, regarding whether I have WiFi or not! I recommend you download this! It’s a very enjoyable and convenient game!

So I’m in chapter 2, secret path, and I’ve noticed a glitch. The fighters, and the ninjas in survival have some sort of glitch, they have magic abilities, shouldn’t they have magic abilities later in the other chapters? Also, I’m only on chapter 2 secret path. Hermit is the boss I’m fighting, and I haven’t beaten him yet, which is how I earn the magic ability. For some reason the glitch of the magic ability is more weirder. The fighter does the movement of throwing the magic at you, but it looks like they are throwing nothing, like LITERALLY NOTHING. The magic should be showing up, like the particles and the magic. You know when you use the magic ability and once you throw it, it shows the magic getting thrown. Well for the ninjas that aren’t supposed to have magic until the next chapter with the butcher, threw nothing at me and I took so much damage from it. I checked, the ninjas aren’t supposed to have magic in the second chapter. They get it in the 3rd chapter. Please fix this glitch. Other than that, I love this game, always used to play it all the time.

I used to play this game all the time when I was a bit younger, and now I came back about 5 years later just randomly remembering it on another device. I start from fresh, get used to the mechanics and am having a good time. I remember I have an energy bar, and remember I gotta be patient & watch ads for that. I have pretty much no problem with that. But not to long later, every round gives me an ad once in out of the battle. That’s ridiculous. Among every game mode, tournament, boss levels, and survival, at the end there’s an ad. That’s actually ridiculous, especially for tournament. Each match lasts max 100 seconds, and if you got decent skill, items and low difficulty, it can literally take 20 seconds or less. Watching a 30+ second ad while the game can be 20 seconds long, and max 100. You can literally leave all the other stuff, I understand that mobile games usually rely heavily on ads if they’re free to download. But making me watch an ad after every round is too much, especially for this game.

Wow, just wow Nekki. Not a single game has made me complete the entire game fully, (except for the dlc). I was getting bored of the game since all I would do was do online raids. But you know what, I actually deleted my entire data save, cause you know what, I was very poor at making decisions early on. Say for example those one time encounters where if you win you get an exclusive weapon, or the entire Monk Armor Set. Guys, from an experienced veteran at this game, DON’T enchant your gear if your not MAX level. I know 52 levels is pretty much at the end of the game, but TRUST ME, it is VERY worth it in the end. You are going to have gear that will defeat anybody that is after the Gates Of Shadows. Also go for the Monk Set AFTER you get MAX LEVEL, trust me, this is a mistake I did very early on. My Monk Set was pretty much useless against Shogun and higher. Basically save your enchantments till MAX level. I can’t emphasize this enough. Anyways, incredible game Nekki, I will never forget this game as I grow older, this game has left a BIG impact on me and I hope it does to other people as well.

As I said this is a great game. The mechanics are good. A pretty descent story line. I like the game because you actually have quite a bit of coherent to play through. It’s not just a one day game that you beat and then are done with. That being said there are a couple things that are annoying. I am going to start off by saying I played this game like 4 years ago and it was not like this. Number 1 the ads. In the survival game mode if you lose there is a screen that says something along the lines of “watch an add and try again with half health.” But if you click “no thanks” it shows you an ad anyway! This is super frustrating. I feel like the opponent are also able to predict my movements when they really should not be able to. The characters attacks are pretty fast. So say I go for a standard punch. It is very quick. Yet sometimes the CPU will duck, that really should not be possible. I think it is because the game knows my inputs and so does the CPU which allows it to do things like that. Overall good game but too many adds and a weird omniscient CPU.

This is probably one of my favorite mobile games, and was my favorite years ago, but as I got older I have started to notice some problems with it that bother me. First of all, the challenges, some of them don’t make sense, like one challenge is to get a higher level version of armor and weapons, what? is my challenge to grind in survival forever getting 5 points each time when I need about 2000 points to level up and I can’t do the tournaments because it’s impossible difficulty? I don’t get that... 2nd of all the weapons you have to pay for. I have no problem that there are special weapons that cost money, but when I bought the katana, I didn’t realize that I would have to keep upgrading it with my money... which is dumb, because now I’m just gonna switch to another weapon that’s better because I can’t upgrade the sword! Finally, there are some mechanics I find annoying, like shurikans can do way to much damage sometimes, and magic can kill you one hit from the bots. I hope you see this, people enjoy this game more than Shadow Fight 3, so please, take this into consideration. Thank you

Game is very entertaining and is a nice change from many other boring games. Though the game is quite fun it is however extremely annoying at times. Just when you think you’re getting good the game pulls some tricks out of bag that could be labeled “cheats”. The game wants you to spend money so much that you will literally not go anywhere without leveling up after each new challenge. Rather than a gradual challenge of difficulty getting harder and harder the game literally makes it quote “Impossible” to face the next level until you level up, which you can’t do without spending your coins. Forget actually honing your skills and reflexes, this game takes that power away from you by just increasing the amount of damage dealt by new opponents to such a large degree that you will die, there is no hope for your survival, it unleashed a set of combos that are at a speed impossible to dodge or counter. And standing there trying to block by just not doing anything like you’re supposed to does not work anymore.
