it was great but then it randomly said I was upgraded (they asked if I wanted to upgrade and I said NO but they say I did and yet I've not gotten even an email from apple about a purchase) and it won't convert ANY of my videos now. It worked just swell before randomly saying I upgraded (I'm waiting on if a charge shows up on my end) but now it doesn't work at all. EVERY video I try to convert gets a "the current device may not support this file" error. just garbage out of nowhere

I’ve been searching for an app that will allow me to convert some .avi videos to .mov so I can play/edit them on my iPhone. The .avi files I have are on a flash drive that plugs into my phone, however since they are not .mov my phone will not allow me to transfer them to my camera roll. I was hoping iConv could connect to my flash drive and convert the files so that I could move them over to my phone. Unfortunately iConv will only allow you to import photos and videos that are already on your camera roll, so no luck for me.

I find myself often having to delete then reinstall iConv because the storage size of iConv balloons with every file you import. And even if you delete a file within iConv , it won’t free up storage space on your device until the entire app is deleted.

It's fast, simple, and it works great. I often use it to extract audio from videos for further processing, or to convert Apple formats like m4a to wav or mp3 so I can work with them in PC DAWs. It's the only app I've found that just does what it claims reliably and easily. It looks like it might be subscription-only now, but when I bought it a couple years ago you can pay for a pro license. I hate subscription models so I'm docking a star for that, but in terms of how well it works, it's five stars.

I NEED to be able to convert to all current video formats. I use HEVC a lot and having to download yet another app, for something so simple, is ridiculous. I love that they finally added the ability to easily import from iCloud now and the changes to the UI are good but still room for improvement on that front too. Most importantly I need more options for converting because I don’t have handbrake on my iPad Pro so THIS is supposed to be my substitute.

Looks like the upgrade to pro version did not update until itunes processed payment.

Anyway, working good now.

It seems to work great so far, hopefully I don’t end up seeing my videos on some random Chinese website eventually.

Every time I have a video that I found in my drive or wherever, it converts every weird type of video format to what I want to make it play on my device!

App is useful. Have not been able to use the wifi function yet. Problem with password.

I have used iconverter app to convert all of my sermons for about 5 years and I have not had any challenges. Very user friendly. Thanks.

I had to convert my files to mp3 because iPhone does not save as that. With the audition, ACX will solely accept the mp3 converted file. Although, you do need further encoding (such as Audacity) to input the files for the audiobook.

There’s a ton of functionality, and the filters within the video editor are excellent.

Keeps asking me to rate. It’s a five star app, but I’m 5 stars of annoyed with the constant reminders to rate something I’ve already given 5stars to.

WYSIWYG What you see is what you get. AND IT FREAKING WORKS LIKE A CHARM. It’s also pretty fast, which is a quality that just about every other container-altering-program is lacking. How iConv has remained under the radar for so long is beyond my understanding. I’ve been using iConv & paying for the annual subscription for as long as it’s been available. And now it’s been a few years, and it’s somehow still not even one of the most celebrity apps on here...maybe it’s for the best that SOME things stay out of the spotlight though.

I’m finally getting the hang of running the conversion but still not sure how to directly save to Photos. The conversion seems pretty good. I’m sure I’m just not figuring out the process and I think it’s possible. Just could be clearer.

I\'m in the free trial period where it has limitation on converting files once you reach a certain amount then you have to upgrade to the pro or wait. Overall it has the ability to convert MP4 and transfer it to my camera roll where I can view it and add it to my iMovie edit.

I needed something to convert my 60fps mp4 (Pixel 3) to 30fps mp4 (iPad) so that I could edit my videos on my iPad using my normal workflow, and while iConv doesn’t specifically say it does that, just convert your 60fps mp4 to an mp4 and iConv spits out an iPad compatible version. Impressive GUI for WiFi transmission of file included that works very well!

Sadly iConv is extremely saturated with adds in its free form ... and I do mean extremely. But at an affordable price you can get rid of the advertisements and once done iConv works perfectly. Honestly this is the only app I’ve found that reliably and quickly converts the video files I use in my content creation. Would definitely recommend. Also, if you do go premium avoid clicking the 2.99 a month option, they do offer a 7.99 a year plan.

This was so easy to use! It only took a couple of minutes to do what I needed to do getting a file converted.
