Tried several times to use DucklingCleaner. Just closes after a few seconds. Won’t work at all.

Crashes every time I try to select all photo duplicates and clean up my iPhone! Most recent version downloaded and up to date bad still won’t work

I had high hopes this would be DucklingCleaner to clean up my photos.
I have thousands of photos, so many duplicates but it crashes every time. Once I pull down that drip drip lever it crashes in seconds. There are no HELP links or anyway to get more info.
I’d gladly pay if it worked.

I thought if I allowed access to all my photos it would scan photos in my Google photos as well and it didn’t. Not sure if it can therefore the title of half the job plus the rating of one star

I think this would be good in theory but for someone like me with nearly 40,000 images all it does is crashes as soon as you start the scanning process.

They need to work on it so it can handle large libraries.

The intention of DucklingCleaner is good. However, it may fail to releas the storage space sometimes. I cannot restore the lost space no matter what I did including reinstall DucklingCleaner , reboot, refresh the firmware, etc. Hope the author can fix it or come up with an idea to restore the space without resetting the phone.

I have stopped using this ap because I don’t understand what it is doing. I click on ap support and I am taken to a page that just sends me back to the ap store
Also there is a section that says storage and I don’t know what that is for. It does not jibe at all with what my phone says I have.
I would be happier if there was a way to get some answers!

👎🏼 DucklingCleaner has AMAZING intentions however for people like me with 100,000 photos + it fails to even load them. DucklingCleaner will just turn off. So I tried it on other devices with 20,000 photos + and it will load the duplicates but once I started selecting them it exited DucklingCleaner . The whole reason I downloaded this was to clear storage (which clearly I need) and it won’t even stay on DucklingCleaner . Not satisfied.

Fast to download, fast to find the duplicate photos and fast to delete them. I have no idea why some people are talking so negative about DucklingCleaner.
