A common prescription refill is exactly the sort of thing a telemedicine app should be good for.
However, this depends on the company keeping stocks of common medicines on hand, and not being supplied by factories apparently located beneath the ice in Antarctica. In what world does it take two weeks for a box of pills to travel to a warehouse? Is there a single artisan carving them individually by hand out of massive blocks of pill cement? Are they wrapped individually and delivered one at a time by injured bats? Or does the business model of this medical service provider rely on providing as little service as possible?

How am I supposed to get the OTP if DoctorAnywhere keeps kicking me out when I go back to my messages to retrieve it?

I’ve never written an app review before, but I was so utterly frustrated by my experience with Doctor Anywhere that I had to.

I’m short - the scheduler system is really broken and doesn’t update in real time at all. And the doctor supply is too low, but patients are stuck without options.

Details:

Situation is that I needed to do a supervised Covid ART test, and Doctor Anywhere is the only official option to do this virtually.

Tried the “book doctors available now” and waited through the entire 5 min countdown. I was led to believe that it would be successful because DoctorAnywhere messaging says calls are picked up between an average of 1-5 mins. They must not include calls that never get picked up in that average. If there aren’t doctors available, don’t direct a user to the live call.

Tried scheduling in advance from a list of doctors and times that DoctorAnywhere suggested they were available. Tried 6+ times for different times with different doctors - all of which were suggested by DoctorAnywhere as available times. Then after 10+ clicks per booking attempt (which was the same information I had to put in every time), at the end it said “not available, pick another time”.

I gave up on DA and booked with Speedoc and had a very easy time getting a GP virtual appointment within the hour. Also got a referral for the professional ART sent to me right away.

Then booked the Supervised ART with DA (lots of supply there), and attended the appointment. Then I was told they can only do Supervised ARTs on basis of a referral from a DA doctor. This was NEVER made clear before! If this is the case, then it should be set up as a 2 part booking, or at least give a big warning in advance.

It doesn’t make sense that other licensed doctors couldn’t refer. If they’re going to create a racket / lock up on GP referrals for ARTs, then at least they have to have enough supply of doctors and a functional booking system!

Tried this and resent OTP multiple times but it’s not sending OTP

It is not possible to complete the registration due to errors.

This is fake app. Purchase $99. Went to the clinic. They said no appointment been made. This is crazy fake app. Don’t pay to make appointment

ordered a dozens of medicines and kits here. Yet, I do not receive anything even 3 weeks after my order. DoctorAnywhere is a total scam.

Twice now they have run into delivery issues and demanded more money. Better to visit real GPs for faster and more affordable service.

DoctorAnywhere is not smooth to use, the Dr rushed and was trying to hang up - the call lasted less than 3 minutes. The medicine was late and then they only sent one of the two medicine. I called them numerous times. No one answered!! I emailed them and when someone called me back, they couldn’t find my name in their system!!
Huge inconvenience and waste of time.
Plus during circuit breaker / lockdown this doctor service is not using contactless delivery!! Driver said I had to open the door and sign his mobile phone screen with my hand to get the meds. I previously used WHITECOAT which was fantastic - going back to them.

I’ve tried multiple times to log in and I always receive an error message “Something went wrong. Try again later” Very disappointing

They deleted their old app “Raksa” to order medicine. So I paid a doctor to give me prescription to review medicine. App doesn’t notify of each message a doctor says, the doctor closed the chat. I never got any medicine, the only note says “wait till tomorrow”. What a stupid app , bring back Raksa

Both Guardian and Watson said they cannot fulfill the Dr. Anywhere prescription. Turns out you can only buy the medicines from Dr Anywhere via their app, and not from any retail chain. They do not make this clear at all at the time of onboarding. So 26 dollar fees look cheap till the medicine bill hits. The Guardian pharmacist said that they do not accept Dr Anywhere but apparently do accept some others. I will be sure to try the others out next time!!
