Lost two years worth of habit entries.

I’ve been using MomentumHabitTracker for about two years of continued use. I’ve used a few habit tracker apps prior to this one, and I just loved the simplicity and clutter-free layout of this habit tracker. The more features and buttons there are on a habit tracker app, I find for me, the less likely I am to be consistent with utilizing it. I loved MomentumHabitTracker so much that ai upgraded to the paid version. I WOULD have given MomentumHabitTracker five stars. Yes, that’s right, I said would. Up until a few weeks ago, lo and behold, MomentumHabitTracker suddenly crashed on me. I would try to open up MomentumHabitTracker , it would look like it’s opening up, flash up, then it would just disappear. I lost all the habits I had stored in MomentumHabitTracker . There were two years worth of valuable habit entries I didn’t bother to store anywhere else. I tried trouble shooting by force-quitting MomentumHabitTracker , re-starting my phone, clearing MomentumHabitTracker ’s cache, then I finally tried to uninstall then reinstall MomentumHabitTracker . Of course, this caused me to lose all my data, and I was extremely frustrated that I couldn’t retrieve my lost data. Definitely giving MomentumHabitTracker about 2 stars at this point because it is now useless.

Useful but misleading app! NOT FOR APPLE WATCH!

I find MomentumHabitTracker very useful and simple, very easy to use. IF you have purchased the full version. The free version only allows you to have 3 daily habits to track. I needed more so I purchased the full version, happily thinking I could use this on my Apple Watch as well as my phone so I didn’t have to carry my phone around all day checking off my habits. The pictures indicate it can be used on the Apple Watch. I even emailed support to find out why MomentumHabitTracker wasn’t available on my watch and got a very basic response how to fix the problem, with a disclaimer that not all tech support requests can be addressed due to “limited resources”. I then spent an hour on the phone with Apple support only to learn that MomentumHabitTracker is IN FACT NOT COMPATIBLE WITH APPLE WATCH AND CANNOT BE USED ON APPLE WATCH AS THE PICTURES IN MomentumHabitTracker STORE AND ON THEIR WEBSITE INDICATE!!! I think MomentumHabitTracker is very nicely and simply designed without all the many bells and whistles so many other apps give you that you never use. It’s too bad their business practices are questionable.

Invaluable for a working mom of 7

I hate the stereotype of moms never taking care of themselves or sacrificing themselves for their kids. I want to take care of myself, but I am so busy with work and taking care of kids I often forget about myself. MomentumHabitTracker helps me remember those little things and I have been able to reestablish the habits that make me ME! It has been fun to reclaim myself, even while taking care of the 1,000 other things that require my attention each day. And I am motivated by seeing how well I am doing with streaks, and even if I fail one day it is fun to see how many days I DID stay on track. I also love being able to rearrange the order of my habits!

Great app and worth every penny (and probably more!)

I like and I need and I'm keeping it.

I am a verifiable spaz. Which means I'm also highly forgetful, especially on the everyday humdrum tasks. As a college student who also works hard for tha money, there are days when I have so many things on my noggin that I can't even remember to feed myself lunch -let alone try to make a conscious effort to meditate daily, in order to manage my stress and potentially prevent a stroke at age 24. MomentumHabitTracker has so far kept me in check this semester! My favorite aspect of MomentumHabitTracker is it's cohesiveness with the iOS10 update (Satisfyingly simply interface, iMessage, widgetry, etc.). I highly recommend for someone who has CEO aspirations with an ADD diagnosis, or anyone who's life resembles a chronic juggling act!!

Best regards,
👸🏽

Reminders do not work.

I really want to like MomentumHabitTracker but some of the bugs just keeps it from perfection. Very simple to use, no superfluous features, beautiful intuitive user interface, and overall well thought out, then why the low star rating?

I tried a lot of different apps before settling on momentum, it’s an app that compliments my overall organizational methods very well and one of the most important features it’s the notification system (reminders) and there’s the rub, they don’t seem to work consistently. I’ve tried everything to make them work, they’re essential to me, I’ve tried resetting all the reminders one by one, changed the times, deleted and reinstalled MomentumHabitTracker , but nothing seems to make them work correctly.

So buyer beware, everything else with momentum place it in a 5 star category, but it gets downgraded to 1 or 2 stars because reminders simply do not work.

Does exactly what I hoped it would do

Life is so busy and chaotic, sometimes I just forget to do stuff that I need to do every day. Like tell my momma I love her. Or take 5 minutes to breathe and decompress. Or take my meds. MomentumHabitTracker is clean and clutter-free. I love the Watch app, which is also ultra-clean and simple, and it goes with me everywhere. The occasional motivational blurbs are nice, and I feel like it is *just* present enough to actually motivate me without being annoying. The red bubble on MomentumHabitTracker doesn't go away until I've marked all my goals for the day, and it takes two seconds to mark them as complete. Simple, clean, effective. Well-done.

Visually accessible and simple in design, but...

Pretty effective. Biggest difference between it and MomentumHabitTracker Productive is that you can immediately see what days you've completed a task. This makes Momentum more valuable for quick assessments of completed tasks. Very useful if you have episodic tasks that occur without a repetitious schedule.

However, it is painfully buggy. Tasks names will literally change to whatever task occupied the same place (even if I deleted the previous task) or even revert back to their previous names. This happens when I'm editing their names and when I'm in the main menu. Very frustrating and this is the primary reason for my low rating.

It is also far too easy to tap on the calendar view rather than input a completed day.

Really simple app close to being great

MomentumHabitTracker is really simple and pretty close to what I want. There's just a few issues that need to be resolved before St perfect:

1. No iPad version. You can run the iPhone version on the iPad but it looks blown up and weird.

2. Has this really terrible concept of a beginning date for your streak. Which means if you start the streak before the begin date your streak count is going to be wrong. You can change the streak count (at least you can in the iPhone version. The Desktop version will not go back past 2016 for me) but then if you started your streak years ago you have to click every individual day before to get an accurate streak count. This could all be avoided by just telling MomentumHabitTracker how many days your current streak is. Simple.

The developer of MomentumHabitTracker has really put in some work! Looking forward to giving 5/5 stars once these issues have been sorted out.

Faulty and Stressful

I was so happy to find MomentumHabitTracker thinking I’d finally found the habit tracking app for me. I upgraded to use iCloud sync which doesn’t work even after trying their boilerplate troubleshooting tips. Reminder time setting also don’t work on desktop app. Doesn’t sync and on app time settings are in 5 min intervals rather than minute by minute as on desktop. Very frustrating because upon messaging them (support note says “don’t hesitate to get in touch”) I get an automated email stating that they can’t reply to individual messages. Then why include contact info? Feels very much like a trick and like they’re no longer committed to addressing customer issues. I would’ve happily paid more for MomentumHabitTracker if it actually did what it promised. Such a shame.

It's good but be aware.

I have been using Momentum Habit Tracker for about a month now. I have to admit I enjoy using it. I do want to take a moment and share with you that I have noticed issues. Minor but glaring enough.

I did pay for an upgrade to unlock as many habit as I desire. And it really makes a difference.

However, sync frequency between my iPhone and my MacBook is not instant. There is a delay. When I searched on iTunes for a link to the website to check FAQs, or contact support, which is available on the iTunes profile, as Mathias Maehlum Website and Momentum.... Support, both links shows the account associated with this website has been DISABLED.

I would imagine that paying for an upgrade prevents Mathias's website from being disabled. Something is wrong here. Be aware. I wouldn't pay for an upgrade until this is fixed.

Exactly what I was looking for

I've tried many different apps for keeping track of habits and nothing was the right fit for me until momentum came along. I never write reviews but MomentumHabitTracker is exactly what I wanted in a habit tracking app & it's super simple to use. I love being able to quickly see how many days I was on track and which days I might have fallen off and the simple adding of notes helps me remember important details as to why. Thank you devs for making this!!!!!

Best App IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT

Momentum is one of my favorite apps, it's very simple, easily customizable, and even has a Notification Center Widget that's very convenient. It helps get my priorities straightened out and reminds me constantly what I should/Need to be doing to better myself with I absolutely love!

One Thing I would liked added, More Color options. My favorite color is red, a color not available which is the only downside to MomentumHabitTracker. That really speaks volume for an app. I haven't had any crashes either. 9/10

Good but could use work

It is really helping me to stop biting my nails and I haven’t done it for a week now!!! But it is a bore inn app and I would like it to have achievements you could earn to make it more of a game and not just a checking calendar... make it to where it would make the user want to play and keep up with their streaks, maybe let them compare to other users streaks in a leaderboard, it would make the game more fun and engaging and make more people want to use MomentumHabitTracker ..Thank You!!👌👌😊

So far so good - but could have more features

One feature that would be super helpful: a view that lets you see the Notes you've written for a given habit. Likely best for that view to be vertical scroll, with the left column representing days and the right column containing the notes. This would be especially good for things like exercise where the Notes are key, to describe which workouts were done which days.

Something special

I don't know what it is but I find using MomentumHabitTracker very addicting in a good way. I find myself LOVING to see my habits build overtime and this all seems to be the best out there (I've tried several others). My favorite thing is that once you miss a day, you get the choice to "skip" or "fail" that day. For example I got sick so I stopped working out. I was able to skip those days for 3 days and not have it affect my streak. GREAT APP

Widget

MomentumHabitTracker is just the right amount of simple. It may have its bugs here and there but they are tolerable. The widget that you can use on the widgets page (which I’ve never even paid attention to before) makes it to where you don’t even need to open MomentumHabitTracker . Very convenient. Best part is that it spared me from other productivity apps that charge yearly and at a steep price whereas this is a relatively cheap single purchase.

Used for Years

I’ve used MomentumHabitTracker off and on for several years and it’s been genuinely helpful. I keep track of my morning routine and use the badge notifications to remind me how many items I have left to do. I hate seeing unresolved badge notifications, so it reminds me to check back in with my habits frequently to check them off. Nice little hack.

Like the app but it started crashing recently

I really like MomentumHabitTracker and its minimalist design, however, it’s started crashing recently immediately on launch so now I can’t use it at all.

I’m not sure what could be causing this since this only started happening a few days ago and not immediately after the new iOS update.

I’d love to be able to keep using Momentum! I also would like to give a more positive review but at present I can’t use MomentumHabitTracker at all.

Fantastic, simple motivator

Momentum has a standout feature that sets it above the rest; you see all your progress straight away when opening MomentumHabitTracker . No need to navigate menus, all your streaks and wins are there.

To me this is the most important feature, as setting habits requires discipline and patience, and having that clear reminder of successes makes it that much easier to create new habits.

Elegant look and simple to use

I'm so glad that I found MomentumHabitTracker which looks really clean and is very easy to use. It helps me to track my daily life and establish a better lifestyle. I like it! :)

Update: after using it for almost two week, I find that if it could be edited as every other day 9r every three days as needed as a cycle, it would be a perfect app. I only find a way to edit it every week manually.
