hangTag just straight up does not function. You need a private detective just to figure out how it’s supposed work in the first place, and that’s not even counting the myriad of bugs that you encounter along the way. I downloaded it thinking this would be faster than paying for parking at the kiosk, and after 15 minutes of failed attempts to make hangTag work I ended up giving up and just going back outside to the kiosk to pay. All hangTag needs to do is let you pay for parking. It feels like they scrapped together a google maps integration and a search box made by two separate people who weren’t allowed to communicate and shipped it with no further testing. I take it back, there was a third guy who was in charge of the login/signup flow, but they didn’t actually know how to work the sms integration and it shows. If you’re at the kiosk waiting for hangTag to download, just save yourself the trouble and cancel the download and pay there.

First of all, I really really really want hangTag to work. I commute everyday to a parking lot that uses this app. If I can actually use hangTag, it would save me a few minutes everyday on my commute. So I am a very motivated user.

Unfortunately, this is the worst mobile app I have ever used. It's basically broken every day I use it. Everyday, I pray that the mobile engineers who made hangTag pushed a fix, or the backend engineers get their servers working, but it never works for me.

The first time I downloaded hangTag, I couldn't create an account. It just hangs forever and did not create my account. However, the next time I tried to create an account it says the email is already used, so I have to use a different email.

So after having to use a different email, I was able to create an account. But I still can't pay. I tried adding a credit card and it says credit card was successfully added. However, when I try to select the credit card, it doesn't show up. When I try to pay for parking it just says "Retrieving Rates".

I just want hangTag to work for once. And so far, it never has worked.

I think hangTag is great the price is too high no incremental pricing I only need 30 minutes parking but it’s charging me a full hour $1.50 very detrimental to surrounding businesses
Also, what is this ridiculous, $.50 convenience fee? Convenient for who?

Bad card management, makes it difficult to make changes to order when a card is declined because it defaulted to an canceled card. Long timeouts for seemingly no reason, needing to force quit and restart to get it to charge. Completely unforgiving in user experience.

- doesn’t seem to find parking site, even if you have the lot number etc
- constant messaging or emailing of every little thing (annoying)
- frequently and mostly end up using the parking machine instead.

In summary if an app costs you time versus saving time: it’s useless.

Can’t pay for more than one car at the same time. Doesn’t ingest credit card from an image or a password manager. Inexplicably requests a password not entered again.

First I have to suffer through creating account without the ability to generate a password. Then it doesn’t integrate with the credit cards stored on my phone. And then to add insult to injury, it tells me it’s not working “right now” for the lot I’m in.

First, the pay kiosk doesn’t work in the parking space. Then I upload this, I want to park a different car there, and it will only let me use the original license plate. Very antiquated. If you have a choice, I’d park elsewhere, but I don’t as it has the head clearance I need.

The rate listed in hangTag silently included a fee of around ten dollars per use. That’s too much greed for me, so I deleted hangTag . However, it might not be this excessive for all locations or maybe they will change their ways. If you are going to use it, I recommend that you check the rates before you leave the lot.

Purchased parking and arrived at lot to find the gate closed and no way in. Called their customer service number and was told I’d only get a refund after providing proof of parking at another lot. That is so sketchy. One need not buy another product to receive a refund for services not rendered. This company should be investigated for illegal practices like this.

I downloaded hangTag , selected payment for 3 hours, received quote for 9 hours due to the overnight parking rate being equal to 3 hours, submitted payment and watched the time click down. But then app wouldn’t send me a receipt and I had a ticket when I returned to my car. I wonder if this is really an App or was I just scammed? I’ll avoid lots using hangTag and will fight the ticket through my credit card company.

I VERY much dislike hangTag. I have to create an account before paying, which seems unnecessary if hangTag is aiming to be convenient and quick. NO Apple Pay support, and it rejected three different cards of mine before accepting one. App is glitchy when finding parking and is overall unpleasant to use. Oh, and every time you look at hangTag it will send you an email letting you know that you looked at hangTag .

I selected 36 hour parking to park my car for a weekend, and requested the rate, which hangTag provided. After I paid, hangTag said I only received 1 hour and 5 minutes of parking. After calling support, they refused to extend my parking to the originally promised duration, and when I asked for a refund, they refused again, stating that it was a glitch in their app and I was charged the correct rate. They will make you pay first and will not give you the full duration of parking that you paid for!

I never write reviews and if I do they are good. hangTag has costs me too much money btwn the employees of the parking lot giving me a ticket becase they cant check if I was using hangTag or not. Leading to a headache of dealing with the ticket. hangTag can’t even tell if there is an event going on. I was there in the parking lot. I paid and then I was told to leave because only monthly parking was allowed. I received no reimbursement the second time this happened. They didn’t even warn me about the one time reimbursement policy they have when they reimbursed the first time. They should not allow you to pay if there is an event. I use this parking lot 3x a week for my job.

If you have to change the credit card during a purchase after a failed transaction hangTag stops working. Also they seem unavailable to add credit cards via safari on Macs or iOS devices in a browser.

hangTag does not work well or consistently. I tried to call customer service and did not reach anyone. Paybyohone is Superior product_i never had such problems with that app.

Works great on my phone but desperately need an iPad version for when my phone dies. I’m guessing that this is because the iPad doesn’t have GPS location. However the iPad does have location services, plus could use the “previous parking lot” selection to pick a parking lot. Keep your developers working on this please.
