MyRide – Motorcycle Routes Reviews

Does everything as advertised, went on a couple rides, tracked my route my speed and lean angles, saw others who ride in the area and their routes, it worked as described until I didn’t use it for a few days and it logged me out then dumped all my info and had to recreate a profile, I also read this had been a problem in the past but also admin responded saying new updates fixed this specific issue… it didn’t still needs a little work but if you save your password on your phone it takes a few seconds to build another profile and me being a casual rider interested in how I ride it’s a mild irritation, it would be nice to have the info saved to track progress though

I used MyRide since 1 year. But MyRide frequently shutdown whenever I started the ride or finished the ride since 4/5 months back. Please solve the issue. I can’t use MyRide. It’s terrible experience.!

When everything works as advertised MyRide is wonderful. Records your route and displays it on a map. Max speed - acceleration - deceleration - lean angles to both sides. Saves all this for future reference or sharing with friends. Incredible.

That being said...

Everything has to be perfect for this to happen.

If you don’t have a robust internet connection or MyRide has the least amount of trouble accessing the internet - you lose everything.

Accidentally close MyRide - you lose everything.

Multiple times I’ve lost rides (twice on motorcycle vacations) when MyRide couldn’t connect flawlessly to the internet or I accidentally closed MyRide . No recourse - all lost...

There is no “save and resume later”. MyRide either works perfectly or not at all.

Other apps are more forgiving but not this one. Get it right the first time or not at all.

This allows me to keep track of everything I need to bike to bike. In three years I have owned 7 motorcycles. Currently i own two and the only feature I dont enjoy, you have to switch default bikes just to be able to start a ride on the other bike. It will only allow you to click Start Ride for your default bike. Minor flaw in MyRide design.

MyRide does some pretty neat things but has some shortcomings.

If you don’t have an internet connection at the end of your ride, the track & data aren’t saved so the “Ride” is lost. Apparently nothing is stored locally on your device, only in the Cloud.

At the end of the ride there is a Share option but once the ride is saved the Share option doesn’t appear again. A workaround is to take a screenshot & send that to someone.

I have not found any way to delete an unwanted “Ride”. I first tested MyRide in my car & would now like to delete that one but cannot find a way to do so.

I haven’t found any way to report bugs or give feedback to the developers. Clicking on App Support doesn’t do it.

Really like how it tracks my ride and records for lean angle, acceleration, etc, but be careful about allowing your GPS locations to be public. Someone with bad intentions could use your location data, so I’d keep my rides private. Would be nice if it also tracked the location of your records

I just went on a 80 mile ride. It recorded it under unregistered user. Is there a way I can save this to my profile?

You know how you get a sinking feeling in your stomach when you realize you forgot about your anniversary or your partner’s birthday? That’s what using MyRide is like if you like going on random rides that you want to remember. On my third ride, it failed to allow me to save my ride, and I couldn’t even see the map when I checked. I will update if this was just an anomaly.

I have been using MyRide for about a year plus a lot of few things here and there.

I like MyRide , but then, it crashes, and logs you out and one have to always log in all the time like am starting all over again.

Rides disappear at times.

Can’t remember some other things.

But MyRide is a good one for what it does.

I would like to see if you guys can add another service of having the ride help take vehicle service history. That can help manage people’s vehicle either bikes or cars.

Overall a nice app. It's mostly only frustrating when it fails to save a route so better background and offline support is needed.

My only other gripes are:
No where in MyRide to report bugs or issues. App and Play store go to main corporate website.
Saved routes that are public to others with / in the name can not be exported to GPX
Even if you have your settings to miles instead of km when notifications are received of followed users they are always in km

MyRide is great! Has all the features needed for tracking and sharing. Just has one annoying issue. Sometimes when launching it I am logged out. Once fixed a definite 5 star motorcycle app!

Let v MyRide when it works after a ride sometimes it just won't upload where it shows that I even rode

I love MyRide. I just wish it had an autosave feature! I just broke my own record for distance, speed, lean angle and everything but forgot to save the ride and now it’s gone!

Finally was able to get MyRide working again then it logged me out and not its saying my password is incorrect.... even though I know for a fact my password is correct...

Layout and interface is simple and user friendly to use. Only thing I wish improved was not logging me out in the middle of a ride and losing all my data.

Had MyRide for about 9 months. Works great in tracking all aspects of your ride.
It’s happened three times that even with my login info, it loses all of my past saved rides and I have to start over again.
I’m done with it.

Even when I edit the ride and switch to my current bike, the km and rides are not linked with the bike.

I’ve got a few rides that never saved, they were long rides too. If someone can reach out & help me I’d greatly appreciate it. Please.. I don’t know how to contact MyRide designers

Great app, easy to use. Hope to see continued dev and new features!

Title says it all - trying to reset my password and I get into an endless loop of email and login screen with no reference on how to reset the password or a temporary password. Eventually I just get locked out of my account for too many attempts. Frustrating and useless. Too bad, it’s a cool app.

Using Email.

I downloaded MyRide last August and lived it. Set up profile, tracked rides and was super happy. A few months later, I was logged out but tried to see my profile and it s well as my rides were gone. Have tried dozens of time to set up profile again but doesn’t take my Yamaha mt07 or pic of my bike or anything. Seriously disappointed in this Yamaha app. Why can’t I upload pic or bike model?

It won’t save my rides. Seems cool when it’s running live, but if I can’t go back and look at the data, what’s the point!

Love the features of MyRide but it seems to have some issue saving my rides even thou I hit the “save” button.
This has happened to me twice, both are longer (2+ hours) trips.
Hopefully Yamaha can fix this glitch in next update.

As everyone else has said, this is a cool app that does some great things. However, the only way it will save your ride is if your connected to WiFi at the end of your ride. If they can fix this, I’d give it 5 stars and be willing to pa a few bucks for it!

I had about five or six rides saved one day and only three showed the next. MyRide would be useful if they would get that fixed.

Hi everybody. I lost my ride by mistake. The question is can i add manually a ride just for the statistics? Thank you?

I can’t get the lean angle to calculate correctly. Do I need to mount the phone to the bike? I currently just have it in my pocket

Add function to automatically start ride with Sena or Scala connection

MyRide is awesome except it won’t save any rides. I’ve set up the profile but it still wont save anything
