Convenient isn't it how they make you sign in to your Microsoft account to use it...when you could just as well use it without signing in if they would allow it. Shame that the half-baked Your Phone app is uninstallable. Yet another useless app from the aggressive data aggregators at Microsoft.
Here’s windows 10 for free...oh by the way, we track everything!
Pretty soon they're going to disable local accounts all together and you’ll have no choice but to become one of the collective.

ContinueonPC doesn’t work. Period. However, the ‘Continue on PC’ feature has been integrated into Microsoft Edge
The user who is all bent out of shape about having to sign into their MS account because the same functionality could be achieved using a local device... Please explain how. This service (in Edge, not ContinueonPC ) works by assigning an ID number to a user and their session, which is handled in the cloud. When you send a session from one device to another, the system uses that ID# to restore the session on another device. You can’t do this with local accounts. Tell me how a local account on a phone and a local account on a PC are supposed to be connected?
To the user saying they were lead to believe you could answer calls and text using ContinueonPC, well, you are just plain stupid. It doesn’t say anywhere that that functionality exists with ContinueonPC.

I think ContinueonPC is amazing. I hate looking at URLs and having to type in each and every character to get exactly the right webpage so this is an incredibly useful tool. BUT it opens up on edge no matter what browser you are using. This is inconvenient since I (and most other people) use chrome and you don’t want a totally different browser to open when you send over a website to your computer. PLEASE add the option to open the webpage on the default browser on your PC. I will not hesitate to change my rating to 5 stars if this feature is implemented. Thank you!

Links always open in Microsoft Edge on my computer regardless of what I set my default browser to. It’s extremely annoying that Microsoft doesn’t respect my browser preferences. If I wanted to use Edge, I would send Edge as my browser.
In addition to links, you should be able to send other photos and documents as well. The functionality in ContinueonPC is extremely rudimentary.
The best way to get things to myself is still Facebook messenger to myself and opening it on my desktop computer, which is ridiculous.

Great tool and super easy to set up....the only issue is that Microsoft being Microsoft tries to force you to use MS Edge as this tool will open links in MS Edge regardless of your default browser....super annoying, hence the rating......
However, you can very easily bypass this restriction by installing a tool called Edge Deflector on your Windows 10 PC...it’s free and takes only a few minutes to set up. All this tool does is any link, regarless of what browser is intended to open in, will open with the browser of your choice....simple :)

It works really well, but it has a major flaw. You can use it in chrome, safari, or edge. When you try to send the web sight to your computer, it only opens in edge. I don’t use edge. I use chrome. If I open a web sight on my phone with chrome. I want it to open on my computer with chrome not edge. It’s a great idea and it works seamless, but Microsoft needs to give the user the ability to open the web sight with chrome on their computer.

When you go through the demo, be sure to do the example at the end when told to try sending a web page to your PC. After tapping the up icon, scroll over to where it says More. Tap More. Look for Continue on my PC and move the slider. On your PC, a message inviting you to continue will slide in on the bottom right of the screen. Click on it and the page you were on will appear on your PC. It’s a shame the visual examples during the walk through after install go through their animations so quickly that you can’t tell what to do.

It would be nice if the webpages opened in my set default browser instead of in only MS Edge. If that features happens then 3 stars becomes 4. I am knocking off a star for an error that has happened in every test page I’ve tried so far, after I send the page from my phone to my desktop, my phone shows that there was an error sending my page to the Action Center, but I have not experienced any errors. Just a slight delay.

All it does is allows you to stay on the tab you are on just on your pc instead of your phone. I was led to believe I could text and receive calls while using ContinueonPC and that is what let me down. But other than that it is fairly fine, and I use it occasionally.

When I first downloaded ContinueonPC, a year ago or so, it worked well - but not any more. I don’t know if it’s my aging iPhone and that maybe after some updates it still works for newer ones and my phone was left behind, but it’s useless now. I use an iPhone 6s Plus and Windows 10.

Make sure to add the same Microsoft account to your phone and to your computer. I had some initial difficulties because I have twi Microsoft accounts and I was logged into one on one device and the other on the PC. Once I had added both Microsoft accounts to the PC I was able to start sending pages to my PC from my phone.

It would be nice if it worked both ways but I'm guessing that is because it only wants to use the Edge browser which isn't available on iOS. You've already had this functionality if you use Chrome and it works both ways and synchs bookmarks.

Step 1. Go to Start>Settings >Phone>Enter your phone number without dashes and send link to get app.
Step2: Follow app to App Store. Automatically you will be directed to Continue on PC. Download it.
Step3: open browser on PC
Step4: open website on iPhone
Step5: Press middle button on control row to bring up functions.
Step6: Select Continue on PC from top row on far left.
Step7: Continue on PC will search for available PC’s WILL find one and ask if you want to continue now or later. Your choice. You might as well select now since you went through all these steps. You might as finish the job.
Step8: Your iPhone’s current webpage will magically appear on the browser that you already opened on your PC. Just open it to a Home screen, any one will do, besides it’s going to change in less than a minute.
So there you have it. All of you one star reviewers can follow these steps and make ContinueonPC work as it was designed to work. Graceful and simple and straightforward. The melding of OS’s. Steve Jobs would be spinning in his grave if he knew this was happening to his beloved OS. Cheers, it’s time for a beer.

Works perfectly. People just don’t get it.
Of course you computer has to be online.
It’s Almost instant on my computer, so it’s it’s slow, it’s because you have a slow computer. Ignore the 2-3 star ratings. They are just hating on things they don’t understand how to use. You have to be smarter than a raccoon to use ContinueonPC.
by I Highly Suggest It.
Once you get it set up, it works instantly, and works with any website or app with a web-based counterpart. Unfortunately, it does open the website with Edge, BUT using a program such as Edge Deflector for PC forces it to use your default browser.
