Go to settings, Battery and device care, Red dot shows on care report, app issue history, ATT THANKS, tap on ATT THANKS and it shows App crashed many times. I purchased the phone in January and the problems date back to Feb. 11, 2021. Sometimes several times a day. Can I delete the app without causing any other issues?

This APP will not work!

I logged in to my AT@T account as I have done in the past with NO problems buying tickets. But now they have this HORRIBLE app that does not work! I tried calling the number that it provided for help but all I get is a busy signal. I called AT&T and asked for Customer Service. The first agent I spoke to had a very thick accent and it was difficult for either of us to understand each other but learned he was the billing department. He had to transfer me. As in the first call the agent had a heavy accent but he could not help me and transferred me. I got transferred over to the IVR system and there was a lot of static. He (IVR voice) gave me a telephone number and asked if that was the number I was talking about, it was not my number, asked what i needed told it I needed Customer Service. I was transferred to a person MICHELE who spoke perfectly good English. I explains my issue and also let her know she was the 3rd time I had been transferred, bottom line she said she could not help me because she did HOME phone service. But Michele’s attitude was that “I” called her at the wrong department. I explained that I was transferred 3 times and I did not asked to speak to her department. Then she asked what number I was calling about. As I was giving her the number the call got disconnected. And I still have no assistance with ATTTHANKS. AT&T no longer provides good Customer Service.




Poor Development

ATTTHANKS is riddled with bugs ever since I got it months ago; I actually deleted it awhile back because it was almost unusable due to the bugs. The first main bug that happens is when you first open ATTTHANKS , it says to login to view offers. So you do so, but then the page leaves you on the login page making you wonder if it even logged you in. Awhile back, it used to not log you in and you couldn’t ever log in. This time it seems it does, you just have to close out the login page and it says you’re logged in. However, the main page still says to login to view offers.. closing ATTTHANKS and opening again fixes this. Another main error I found within the first few minutes is there seems to be a null pointer exception occurring. If you go to your available offers and start deleting them, the memory doesn’t update so even though visually it remove some offer and shifts the rest up, if you delete the next one it still tries to delete the old offer, which does not exist, and crashes ATTTHANKS . Simple fix, sad to see this is where AT&T’s development maturity is. Coming from another computer scientist, you should not have a production app that clearly hasn’t even been through quality control tests.




Ridiculous duping strategies from 2000s

I logged in to check “movie twosdays”. First of all, it took a few minutes to understand the offer and how it works (buy 1 ticket get the 2nd free). But that’s not the evil part. As I was looking at the movie page, suddenly the page showed that I am “a lucky winner of a $1,000 gift card”. It offered me to choose one of several shops (with Walmart being the top option - who wouldn’t take a $1,000 card for Walmart?) and asked to enter my email address. At that point I scrolled down and saw in small print that the offer is not affiliated with either AT&T or Walmart and it is a “program” where the recipient must “purchase or sign up for a paid subscription” for eight different services within 20 days. You know, I’ve seen this stuff before. AT&T, do you even check who advertises, and how, in your app for your customers? It’s like a crack party in your own kitchen, and you don’t seem to know who was let in. Get your stuff together maybe...




Useless

ATTTHANKS is one of the most useless apps I’ve seen. First off, ATTTHANKS takes forever to come up. You get stuck on the AT&T THANKS cover for a good minute on my iPhone 7. This isn’t my phone’s problem but ATTTHANKS itself. Then when you finally get in ATTTHANKS , you see that the notification for the offers (the bubble with number) doesn’t go away after you check every single deal. Some deals are alright such as BOGO free movie tickets every Tuesday but my problem is that you need an account on ticket website. I already have 2 accounts on 2 different websites and don’t need 1 more. Most of the deals are pretty bad and don’t even need to be looked at. Honestly, ATTTHANKS isn’t designed well and is confusing to use. Having a simpler app like T-Mobile Tuesday is much much better. T-Mobile Tuesday also has some great deals sometimes like $5 off movies (which is pretty much free if you go to amc theater on Tuesday) and gift cards for Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks.

AT&T THANKS app need to be fixed. The deals also need to be though out well. Like I said some are just stupid useless




Reward card center

I recently combined my AT&T / Direct TV bill when I added a new wireless line. They offered me a $200 reward card if I did auto pay plus opted in to Payless billing I did all the above! I followed all instructions just like in the past never once have I ever received a Visa reward card that I was promised!! My family and myself have been a customer for over 20 years of AT@T! Not to mention almost every month they have over charged my Acct, yes they do credit it back after I’ve wasted 2 days combing over 8 hrs of my time getting transferred back and forth to different departments! As much money as I spend each month w/ AT@T on my few services you’d think they’d be happy to send my reward card ashtray promised? Usually I don’t worry about it, but now it’s the principle of false advertising. Maybe think twice about what then they promise you a Visa rewArd card, I’ve only had horrible experiences redeeming the reward card! Just felt I needed to share my experiences w/ other customers!!

Lacking

Now I’ve had ATTTHANKS about a week. I will say before I get started, I’m giving them 3 stars for the effort of trying to put something together for there customers. With that being said I think it could use some work. AT&T thanks compared to T-Mobile Tuesday is really lacking. I’ve been with T-Mobile & using there T-Mobile Tuesday app since they launched. It was always a pleasure to wake up Tuesday morning & know I was able to get something for free or a $5 movie ticket or a chance to win some really nice prizes. Now with me being back with AT&T I feel as though they should take a page from T-Mobile give better prizes. I feel like they could give out different gifts each week to make people actually want to come & use ATTTHANKS . For me right now I’m gonna say ATTTHANKS is just ehh. When they fix it up a little bit then I’ll try it again.




December Rewards

I am completely disappointed by how they did the giveaway today. 12pm my time was when they were releasing the deals for today. I was on ATTTHANKS all day, no issues. I was on as soon as it hit 12pm in hopes to get a gift card. FOR TWO HOURS NON STOP ATTTHANKS kept sayin all different types of errors. “You’re not connected to the internet” “an error has occurred” “please try again”. This is the second day I have tried for 3 different opportunities, and it is not fair to lock certain people out. Then it finally goes through and says all gifts have been claimed. HOW?? I know I’m not the only one that was kicked from this opportunity for the third time. For all I know this is just bait for you guys to make more money. Now ATTTHANKS works again?? Do not false advertise, I hit that app at 12pm on the dot and should have been allowed an opportunity to claim a gift. Non stop for two hours I tried to claim one. This makes absolutely no sense!




Duped

This thanks program is bogus. I have both AT&T and Verizon and here’s the difference.

Verizon - Allows you to claim specific offers that is available to you at any time in a specific time frame. Once you claim your reward the expiration date varies from 2 - 4 weeks.

AT&T - It takes a while to figure out how ATTTHANKS even works. The rewards that you can claim seems to be on a “first come first serve basis”. If you don’t go into ATTTHANKS in time it will tell you to come back at a specific time to check again. I don’t know if they just make these rewards available to random people at random times because I find myself checking ATTTHANKS multiple times a day just to receive a coupon. It’s not even worth my time. If you’re going to give a reward just give it. Do not play cat and mouse games with your customers. After 3 days I am removing ATTTHANKS.




Funny app 😂😅

My first ever review and deleted ATTTHANKS already after 10 minutes!😂😅I wanted to see for myself if the rewards are even worth it based on the reviews. So I tried, 1st, the Twosday movies offer. For example, here in Vegas most movie theaters offer $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays already and then you go on the Att Thanks app, it’s $10/ticket 😂😂😂 so it’s not really free, it means people will pay full price for two already! 2nd, the dining deals, I looked at the 3 restaurants (only 3 they offered here) the only savings you get would be the tax because all of them offers “20% or 30% off” but doesn’t tell you what the real price in the restaurant, so I went to yelp and looked at the full price, when calculated post tax, people basically saves like maybe $2 for tax because it doesn’t tell you that you need to buy a drink with your order. Hahahahaha I can get more with Groupon, what a joke of a “thanks” program, no thank you.




Read the Terms and Conditions

I installed ATTTHANKS and first thing it asks is to accept the Terms and Conditions. These days I always at least browse them for big red flags. Well these Terms say that AT&T will basically watch and record everything you do on your phone, what apps you install and use, etc and give the data to third parties. Generally if a company is giving away stuff it’s because they are making money in return and of course you can choose to give away your privacy or not for “Thanks” in return. For me, I declined and removed ATTTHANKS from my phone.

I will say I did get a 2 for 1 movie ticket on Thursday, but did it through the website not ATTTHANKS . Not sure what privacy I have given away from the website, but at least the T’s and C’s were very clear in ATTTHANKS that they are spying on you... I encourage all to read the Terms and decide for yourselves if it’s worth it.




Fantastic service

I’ve been a AT&T customer for years and years. I’ve always been happy with the service. My phones don’t drop calls as I hear others say that there company’s do. I had problems with my I phone and went to AT&T and they fixed the problem it wasn’t a problem that had to do with AT&T. Fixed no charge about 15 minutes of my day and done. I’ve never had a billing problem as I have heard others have with other company’s. I couldn’t be happier with there connection speeds. I can connect faster on my phone than friends with spirit and Verizon so I think I’ll stay where I’m at. Home family that is what AT&T feels like.




Thanks for Thanks!

I’ve been with AT&T for more than 20 years. The Thanks app is fantastic. You can easily sign up for sweepstakes (who doesn’t like to try to win!?), get weekly free movie tickets to current movies at most theaters, and get discounts on a plethora of purchases and services. AT&T doesn’t have to do any of these things, and I would still use their service. Their internet is the most reliable and fastest in the area where I live. I appreciate AT&T, so thanks, AT&T, for Thanks, where you show your appreciation for me.

There’s no way this actually has five star reviews. It’s a terrible app. It’s always been terrible. The intent is obviously that AT&T doesn’t want you to use these benefits, but wants to pretend that they offer them.

I have to reset my password every single time I use ATTTHANKS, but when you go to do the “forgot password” option on ATTTHANKS it will stop you mid-type and not allow you to reset it. It’s done this for at least a year. You also cannot purchase without using ATTTHANKS .

Here’s the work-around.

Go to your computer.
Reset your password at the AT&T website.
You’ll have to do this twice because the first time your new password won’t work.
Now- restart your phone.
Enter your new (the second) password.
Now you’ll be able to use it.

God help you if you want to do the movie ticket Tuesdays. You may also need to login to Fandango, which might send you back into the above loop of doom.

Please note that now that they’re using Fandango- there’s a convenience fee of $4.40. So that’s fun.

Don’t think “keep me logged in” will work because it won’t. Don’t think remembering your password will work because it won’t. Just do what I say above and save yourself 30 minutes.

Extremely Buggy. Can’t even begin to log in

Downloaded ATTTHANKS with high hopes, fully expecting to take advantage of all the services ATTTHANKS has to offer. Heard about it from a friend. Downloaded ATTTHANKS with no trouble but when I tried to set up an account, the set up page keeps kicking me back to the previous log in page as though it thought I told it to go back. I didn’t. I tried several times, once without me doing anything, but the page kept bouncing me back to the log in regardless. Needless to say I was frustrated and I’m very disappointed in ATTTHANKS. I couldn’t even use ATTTHANKS because it wouldn’t allow me the chance! I’m hoping AT&T will address this issue and fix it. I’ve been an AT&T customer for years and I was hoping to reap some of the small, but nonetheless exciting benefits this service appears to offer.




Pretty much useless

ATTTHANKS has pretty much been useless since I downloaded not long ago. I feel that Att is pretending to do extra for their customers, however the customers are not able to actually use the offers or claim gifts. The “so called” Christmas give a way gifts like $5 cards, I feel are not true and you can try to log into ATTTHANKS as soon as the time says if it works and they say they are gone for the day.

The “keep me logged in” feature does not work. I have to log in every single time. ATTTHANKS keeps freezing and keeps saying “authenticating. I have even turned of my iPhone 11 Pro Max and deleted and re-installed ATTTHANKS . This is a very glitchy, bad app.

I will be deleting ATTTHANKS as ATT has never given me anything in 12 years of being a customer so why should I expect anything now.
