If you can manage to stay logged on, this is a great resource. This is EASILY a 5-star app... if I weren’t locked out right now. Seems to be a habitual problem. Hope you can fix it, as I’m currently without all the recipes I’ve curated. This is a major problem with the subscription apps. I paid for the year membership, but I have no access. If I purchased (and therefore owned) Prepear , there’d be no logon to contend with. I hope my hard work has not been lost forever!

I’ll definitely update when I get access again. Love it when it works, hate it right now. Dinnertime/no recipe for dinner tonight! Looks like frozen dinners.

UPDATE: Several weeks later, still multiple, multiple problems with logon. Suggestion: until you get the logon situation fixed, you should just make the service free to everyone. I hate that I paid for this otherwise mostly excellent service, but struggle under its burdensome logon.

Another suggestion... work on the search function. I’m typing in a recipe’s exact name, but still can’t find it! If the list were alphabetized, that would help, too!

I want to love this service, and I do... when it works properly, which isn’t very often. I can’t be the only one with this problem... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX IT!

I used to LOVE Prepear, and have used it for years for meal planning and grocery shopping. It took me *months* to add recipes and modify them the way I use them, but the time investment was generally worth it because of the usefulness of Prepear , so I was ok with that.
Whatever happened with this new update has completely ruined the experience. They are pushing Prepare Gold so much that I can’t use what I had already invested in my time. Now I have to sign in every time I open Prepear , navigate too many ads for Prepare Gold to get to what I want, and when I do get there and I can’t get in to my cookbooks at all. On the rare occasion I CAN see my recipes, I can only see pictures of them but not the ingredients. Which means I can’t use it any more to meal plan, create a grocery list, etc. Prepear is completely useless to me now.
There are Gold advertisements everywhere, which is annoying. I know they want me to buy the full version, but now I don’t want to out of spite.
I’m so disappointed. They had a good product, and now I’m not sure what I’m going to do. All I know is that, because of the way this was handled, I would now rather invest in another program and start from scratch than I would pay for Gold.

I’m really bummed about the “upgrade” on Prepear . I cannot afford another subscription right now to unlimited cook modes. Prepear is great for saving time and remembering where you left off when you’re busy cooking or baking with little kids in the home!

But the reason I rated it lower is that there’s a limit to only 3 “cook modes” a week - you can’t even preview the cooking instructions unless you click cook mode (which then wastes one of your 3 for the week!) and i often base my decisions on what to make off of how easy/simple the cooking instructions are along with what materials/methods are needed.

Also when in cook mode, I’ve randomly gotten kicked out of it and what do you know... if you go back to the SAME recipe you were JUST working on it makes you waste another one of your 3 chances.

At least let us access the same recipe all day or week please!

Prepear is my favorite for storing recipes and planning meals! It’s got many really useful features and Prepear accounts for all the different ways a recipe could be organized. I highly recommend this for everyone!

My only problem with Prepear is it’s not fully polished. It looks great but it’s a bit clunky to use. That’s not to say it’s hard to use, there’s just some small things that don’t work the way I would expect.

Count me in as a this app fanboy!! It’s rare that you can say that an app has changed the way you do things, but that is exactly the case with this app. It’s by far the best one out there that collects your recipes and handles your meal plans. I’ve tried a bunch of them - and this one handles what it does so efficiently and effectively. I’ve read a little about the developers, and Prepear was started by parents who were trying to figure out an easier way to handle meals, recipes, and groceries for their families - so it’s designed with an eye on being super useful and by people who are actively using this and trying to make it better. I’ve been pleased with Prepear updates so far, and look forward to what they have in store “coming soon”. Sure, it doesn’t have as many of the bells and whistles as other similar apps, but I didn’t find those nearly as intuitive to use - this one just plain works! Love the this app Mode when cooking - and the way it handles the pantry and groceries added from the meal plan is really smart. Menu planning is a breeze - and it’s really easy to plug in a menu planning service as well. I use Super Healthy Kids - and it’s changed the way my family eats. If you’ve got picky eaters like me, I don’t know of anything better out there. It’s a game changer. This is one of my most used apps by far, and I very pleased with it!

I’ve never liked making dinner. 🤷🏼‍♀️ As a mom of four, I feel like my life revolves around food—planning it, buying it, prepping it, making it, and then cleaning it all up only to repeat a few hours later. The this app app has made these time intensive/tedious tasks of planning & shopping a cinch! And I love that I can bookmark so many recipes so quickly! I also love the new recipe ideas I find each week and it’s been (dare I say it?) FUN to try out new ingredients and meals. I’m a HUGE fan and Prepear has definitely been a game changer for me! Way to go, this app! 🍐🍐🍐

Perfect for busy people who love to cook and eat well, but are pressed for time. I have used meal planning/grocery list apps for many years - and this app has taken everything that was missing in them and done it right. Very happy with browsing recipes, planning our meals, and creating our grocery lists. Love having access to the 100 Days of Real Food & Super Healthy Kids recipes. Love being able to bring in recipes from online and create my own as well. In a word - fabulous!

I love Prepear. I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I love to cook and I’m always finding and cooking new recipes. this app makes it effortless to save recipes, plan what I’m cooking each week, shop for ingredients, and cook. I just wish they hadn’t deleted the ability to edit recipes. If I tweak a recipe I can’t save the tweak in the ingredients list for the next time which is kind of a bummer since otherwise they make creating a shopping list a total breeze.

I’m a father to two little girls so I needed an easy to use app that I could find recipes, organize, create lists and jot down notes. I downloaded 4 other of these types of apps that were recommended on websites and blogs but nothing was close to this app.

Adding recipes is a breeze. If it’s not already in Prepear you can easily search for it online and add it. Even better is the planning section where I can plan out my meals for the week.

Please keep updating Prepear because I need it!

I have been searching and researching apps to find the perfect fit and this is it! I’m the kind of person that needs everything in one place, and Prepear has it. I can add my own recipes, import recipes from other sites, or just make notes in my calendar so I can make my recipe I have memorized or written at home. The shopping list works seamlessly and I love that I can use the list while shopping for my Walmart Grocery Pickup order. Thank you!!!

I'm now able to this app (I slay myself) decadent and delicious dinners with such a marvelous app. I used to attempt to create my own recipes, many of which were utter failures. One that comes to mind is my attempt at crepes made with cricket flour and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and a light crust made of Crackling Oat Bran. Let's just say that this meal didn't go over well with the Mrs. I'm hoping Prepear will allow me to avoid a few more long, cold, sleepless nights on the old Army cot in the basement as punishment for not providing my family with a delicious, succulent meal. To the creators of Prepear... God Bless You.

Love the idea and overall u til I got the iphone12Pro-I CANT click to go back from groceries shopping to the recipe/overall app. It wont let me click back so I have to delete Prepear and download again to use. It drives me crazy. Can you PLEASE fix the location of the bottom its way too high to were my phone cant see it!

Updated: was contacted by this app and they are working on resolving the issue in the next update. Cant wait!

I am not a huge fan of cooking, meal planning, or grocery shopping. Prepear makes all those things easy and even a little more fun. The developers have literally thought of everything, I love that my phone stays “awake” while I shop or while I’m cooking — so I don’t have to gunk up my phone while I’m trying to pull up the recipe. I used to have my recipes stored in a million different places and it has been so easy to transfer them all to one place. Can’t wait to see what’s new and coming up!

I use Prepear with the Super Healthy Kids meal plan service. I LOVE that I can add my own recipes. Often you get a meal plan and there will be something I know my family won’t like that week. So easy to drag a drop one of my own recipes for that meal! I love how easy it is to enter in my favorite recipes from any website! I also love that I can say what is in my pantry so the generated grocery list doesn’t include it - giving me one less task of having to thouroughly edit the grocery list. It is easy to use and I love how well the recipes are able to be organized. I love it a ton!

I can’t believe that everyone isn’t using Prepear yet. It is incredibly easy to use. I’ve planned menus from scratch using recipes I’ve saved and searching for new ones, and I have also been a this app Gold subscriber where all the menus are done for you. Everything is customizable. Grocery lists are a cinch. I NEVER follow the meal plan as written. I go through, move meals to other days, switch stuff up for what’s already in my freezer, omit stuff on days I know will be out, etc! And the option to save recipes from outside websites alone is worth trying Prepear out. Updates are consistent. Help and customer service are great. Highly recommended.

It has it all. The ability to plan for an extended period of time. I do it for the month. The ability to add your own recipes or use from the many cookbooks that are listed. And the grocery list is easy to use. The only thing i would like to see is the ability to use the landscape mode on the iPad. I do realize it is available on the cook mode but not the planning mode.
Update: i started with the free trial on six sisters. I immediately started getting emails for this app gold. It was very confusing and i was not sure if i got gold if i would still have access to six sisters. I finally canceled six sisters and went with this app gold

I have loved using this app for the past month and a half. It’s easy to import recipes, get ideas from past weeks or other users, plan meals, and create grocery lists! I love that I can do all of this easily from my phone while I’m rocking a baby to sleep or waiting at a pharmacy. I can even plan my week in the parking lot of the grocery store if I have to! I don’t have any friends who use Prepear yet so the social feature isn’t very useful to me right now. But everything else has saved me tons of time! I used to just enjoy the cooking part but I truly enjoy planning and organizing meals thanks to Prepear.

Prepear devs and support team are also super responsive. I’m excited to see this platform grow! It has absolutely improved the way that I plan and prepare meals for my family.

Prepear saves me so much time!! The cook mode is amazing. It makes it so you don’t have to scroll from ingredients to directions and the best part, it keeps the screen from going black and having to unlock your phone or iPad mid recipe. The shopping list make grocery shopping so much easier as well. You no longer have to add up how many eggs or lbs of chicken you need, Prepear does it all for you. I just check off what I already have at home and everything that’s left is what I need to pick up at the store. The planner is very easy to use and if you make a recipe and like it you can save it to your recipe box to make again. It’s also very easy to add a recipe from the internet, most copy over without need to do anything further. It also allows you to modify a recipe and save it. Really helpful when you’re cutting back on the sugars in recipes. All around this is a great app and well worth the $60 for the year, that breaks down to only $5 a month. Get it already!

I LOVE Prepear! This is like Ziplist of the past but better! It’s my new Pinterest. It already comes loaded with great healthy recipes. But the beauty is that you can add your own personal recipes as well as from the web! Love that it saves pictures of the recipes from the web. Love that you get a grocery list generated by section and that you can remove ingredients already on hand. My favorite trick because of the recipe pictures is that I can hand over my phone to my kids and ask them to plan our meals for the week from my cookbook. I already know the options they’re choosing from are fab (picked by me) but then they are the ones to blame if someone doesn’t like the meal! Not every website seamlessly adds their picture or directions at times and when I add ingredients it’s not as intuitive with the typing in a minor way (plus then it’s not categorized for tour list) but all of that is a small price to pay to how many advantages it affords! I have the website up pretty much every day to ‘pin’ a recipe that comes my way!

I like to search the web for recipes mostly, and I love being able to easily import and edit recipes in this app! Prepear also has good recipes through its search function, but I honestly mostly input recipes from the web or I’ll manually enter recipes from other apps, so I have everything in one place. I also love being able to create a meal plan for the week in Prepear and then being able to generate a shopping list from those recipes. I love Prepear and highly recommend it.

I’m very happy to be using this app. I’ve just started using Prepear about 2+ weeks ago. The free version does a lot. Create meal plans, shop with automatic grocery lists, and collect recipes and share with friends on Facebook. The two aspects I’ve really enjoyed so far are 1) the ability to find an online recipe and add it to Prepear using the import option. (You can manually add your own recipes too.) It also 2) adds items in the recipe’s list of ingredients to the grocery list with a single touch. There’s a way to move items from the grocery list to the pantry if you already have them too.
The paid version has prepared meal plans that are a little pricy at $9.99 a month but I got an introductory offer in an email for $1.00 and 90 days of meal plans. (I have done that but am not convinced it’s the right choice for me.) All the recipes are searchable and are free though! There are allergy (like shellfish) and diet (like gluten free) options too—quite a few of them actually.
The only frustrations are glitchy procedural issues that have been reported but have not all been fixed. For example, when moving recipes the "right swipe" reveals menu options. However the revealed menu does not always disappear and results in the recipe not being visible. Exiting Prepear or rebooting your phone will usually solve this. Hopefully as Prepear matures these will be resolved.

No seriously! I never feel like technology ever gives me time back and Prepear does!
Picking my recipes, adding to the day I want to make it and forgetting about it is awesome! It’s super easy! Love, love, love the recipe import feature and it will import 90% of the time.
Grocery list feature with importing from recipes...um amazing!!
My only wish is if the “pantry” feature worked a little differently.
Searching the recipes in Prepear is helpful too.. 5 stars from me.

Loveeeeeeeeeeeee Prepear. Instead of having my recipes in different email inboxes and in different fonts and without pictures and taking screen shots of recipes and pictures of recipes to get ingredients and having to copy and paste ingredients to my Notes (then to most of the time forget the recipes are even there) I can do it ALL here plus more!! Can you tell I’m excited?! 😁 really, this is amazing. And the name alone, this app?? Genius!

I know exactly what features I am looking for after trying many, MANY, meal planning apps...and this app takes the cake. this app is user-friendly, simple, and beautiful. The recent update has made it so much better. My favorite features are being able to save recipes from websites, and the Walmart grocery feature. No need to type in each individual item, Prepear does it for you!! Yes!! 👏🏻 Great job, this app!!
