Developer support on point

I voiced my concern below & the developers fixed the issue very timely. Now, I’m able to use GeroSense as planned/described. I’m not done my first data collection experiment yet, but I already know I’m going to love GeroSense.

GeroSense sounded pretty nifty & a cool idea. I think this is where all the data tracking we’re doing these days is going. I have no problem logging in with Facebook. I tried to login via FB multiple times & GeroSense wouldn’t move past the screen asking if I wanted to login with FB. I deleted & re-installed GeroSense after I also restarted my phone. None of this worked. I have the iPhone X; maybe GeroSense isn’t compatible with this phone...
Lemme know if you fix this issue & I’ll give one more try. Thanks!

Gives a parsing error when attempting registration

An excellent tool to help reduce your biological age. I would like to be able to see a daily age readout, that feature is not working in GeroSense . Also would like to see resilience calculated to the decimal place in order to more precisely track progress. It currently gives the result in weeks and does not display a value below 2 weeks. Also unable to register via email, it gives a “parsing” error.

Great app based on powerful research

There are some things to tweak of course, especially with reliability of syncing the data, which is not always happening. That said, great to have it in App Store as research algorithms rarely made public.

Nonsense about Facebook login. I’m not clear how this affects data privacy of GeroSense itself, not to mention “russian” being used as an argument.

Promising start, Needs some work

Looking good so far, needs some work.
For example, need the ability to log starting date for interventions that I started in the past - for example, I started IF years ago, I should be able to provide that info somehow.
May also be good to link some other health info, such as waist circumference and BF% if available. But intrigued to follow as GeroSense develops...

So-so

This doesn’t match up with the parameters from either my cardio ap or the general health ap that the iPhone has, although I have authorized it to share data. It only asks a few vague general questions, and doesn’t allow any specific input. I’ve only had it a few days, so this may change but, so far, color me unimpressed.

Promises more than it delivers

I’ve followed GeroSense diligently for 3-4 months now, while I’ve increased my running, dropped weight, improved sleep, and ate healthier. None of these trends, separately or together, have produced a noticeable difference on my age trend line. It just seems to randomly cycle between 67 and 72. So, though their concept and research make sense, but I’m getting no usable info out of GeroSense .

Complete trash

App doesn’t work and absolutely horrific customer service. I have contacted them several times (3 emails + 3 messenger messages) about the lifespan not being calculated. Finally, after a week I received an email from customer service with the instruction to uninstall GeroSense and then reinstall it. Did not work. Yet, days later, I am still waiting to hear from customer service on what else I can do. Had been excited about GeroSense but a waste of time.

Ok app, unreliable health kit sync, no support

I like the idea of GeroSense but cannot give it more than two stars due to unreliable syncing of healthkit data, which drives it's predictions and negatively impacts the users ability to make meaningful changes, and large battery impact.

Also, support is non-existent with requests going unanswered for more than a week.

Pretty Fun App

It keeps lowering my life expectancy even with more exercise ..gheeez. On serious note, can they add Nike NTC and NRC

Data mining operation

Wouldn’t even begin to function. Needed to be connected to every app on my phone or no data available, literally wanted Instagram, etc. F this.

Developer responded, and it was connected to Fitbit. I’m not to stupid to use it, it kept asking for more permissions.

Developer keeps responding with the same generalized information. I wish I could rate 0 stars.

Making a account

I tried making a account multiple times and it would not allow me to do so.

Accurate??

Averaged over 10,000 steps a day for years and GeroSense says I will only live longer than 15% of people my age and gender. I doubt 85% of 55 year olds are this active. Hmmm

Gero disappoints

The Gero applet claims to mine my Fitbit but it seems to only superficially access the data. I suspect they want users to connect to other of their apps.
It’s even worse now that they made me log into my account and restricting the data to Apple health.

Takes Too much time

If I don’t enter each individual vitamin I take every day, it erases all other things I do. Takes to long to do that every day.

By

Just gives numbers without any information.

Here’s your biological age…. But it tells you nothing about what goes into that.

By

Gus

Too soon to tell. You ask no relevant questions

Didn’t link to Fitbit

This didn’t appear to link to my Fitbit account so I don’t see how it’s getting accurate information

By

Way off

I’ve had my blood work done I’m also a certified short sleeper and an athlete. My biological age is 13 years younger then my birth age. This doesn’t work for beens. Fail.

Awsome

I think I have to run a lot!

By

Nice idea and motivating

Unfortunately it stopped updating from iHealth. Just get blank screens

By

Service down?

Is GeroSense discontinued? The first screen just says “Check your connection, can’t connect right now.” My connection works on all other apps.

By

Works now.

It didn’t work initially, now it is letting me log in and seems to be working well. I can now reduce my 401k contributions based on my actual life expectancy and have more money for fun. (I’m kidding, I don’t put anything in my 401k).

By

Not working

I connected healthkit but get no data about life span. I can even see that healthkit data have been uploaded but I see no lifespan estimation

By

Very interesting.

Interesting analytics.
