My Everyday Tool!
At first I was thought the app was too simple and couldn’t possible have the promised effect but upon repeated use I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed how the app was reducing my stress levels without even noticing! I have always been bad at managing my stress levels and friends have tried to suggest different apps and tool, all of which I have found too complex and time consuming. However, with Personal Zen it is simple, quick and very effective in reducing my stress levels in a short period of time! I now use the app at any necessary point whether it be before a meeting, on the train or whenever I feel most stressed!
Wish I could set time reminders
Wish I could set time reminders so I can check in at a set time each day. Otherwise a great app that helps me to relax at the end of the day.
I wanted to like this
The happy / mad faces come in & disappear way too fast. Is that on purpose? I end up just following where I see the flowers so maybe the faces are just meant to hit you subconsciously? But my biggest issue is that when I trace, it doesn’t always work and this horribly annoying sound happens, indicating you’ve traced it incorrectly. Sometimes I end up having to try it 3 - 4 times before it moves on to the next one. That sound 3 times in a row plus having to trace /exactly/ right is so stressful! I tried turning the sound off but it’s just as stressful to keep swiping with nothing happening! I ended up tapping the screen hard in frustration after less than a minute.
App is either buggy, or I’m missing something. The quick tutorial makes it seem simple enough: you trace the little sparkles along the path. However it doesn’t work consistently. Sometimes I get a “happy” sound and a little jewel or whatever pops up and other times I get a little “oops” sound and nothing happens, but I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong. The positions of the happy and angry faces doesn’t seem to make any difference, but *my* face gets angrier the more I keep using this annoying app!
After the last update, now they want me to pay 5$ a month to use the app. It happened right in the middle of a panic attack I was having. It shows the maker of this app doesn't understand or maybe knows the people too well and has perfected a cruel scheme to extort money from people who are suffering from a horrible condition. Charge 1.99 for your app up front and be done with this nonsense.
It’s stuck on the subscription page and I already okayed it to be subscribed. I can’t use the app I really like it . Thank you for the design. I think it’s still got some bugs. I offloaded it and reinstalled and it’s still stuck on the subscription page..
I use it a lot
I downloaded the ap at the suggestion of a friend. I suffer from PTSD and I get anxious when I'm in crowds. I play the ap on the subway and on the bus to and from work and it actually does calm my nerves. The scoring mechanism does make me competitive with myself, which at times adds stress instead of relieving it, especially since it doesn't allow for higher scoring on higher levels. I also feel like it is pretty static and somewhat repetitive. I would like there to be a little more dynamic interface in terms or the speed of transitions and the ability to beat your personal best by playing faster. Over all, it serves a purpose and the dialog in my head is changing.
Not actually free
I get that developers have to make money, but you should put the price up front. Don’t deceive people by making them pay after a trial to get your download numbers up. Also is based on a subscription. Nothing cures anxiety like making anxious people get another bill.
Very helpful app
These times of stress we can all use help. This apps serenity and ease of use is extremely useful!!
Great app. I feel so calm after every use
This provides a nice quick way to relieve stress. Def recommend
Says free but can’t play it unless you sign up for a monthly plan. Zero stars.
If they say free you should at least be able to play it without signing up for a monthly plan. If they had zero stars that’s what they would get.
Love that it takes just a short period of time to be effective in relieving stress and anxiety.
Just installed the app and it continues to crash after selecting the weekly goal. Appears to not be ready for iOS 14.
Works surprisingly well
I haven’t been able to use it at all, anytime I set my goal it crashes. I’m going to have to cancel my subscription.
