Plannedparenthood direct app is a scam. 1st the soonest I could make a video appt was 4 days later. At the video appt they prescribed me 18 packs of birth control & shipped out that day. I was never able to view any tracking info. 9 days have passed still no birth control pills or tracking info so I sent a message to the support in the app & was told to call this phone number, it went straight to being on hold for hours no one ever answered so I finally left a voicemail & am hoping I get a call back. From my experience they committed insurance fraud by charging my insurance for 18 packs of birth control & lying about shipping them to me. I never received the medication I was prescribed & I can’t get ahold of anyone to make it right!
This is a terribly annoying process of trying to cancel my order after I realized they don’t accept my insurance through the app. I would much rather go in person so it will be covered and I won’t have to pay out of pocket. But they already charged me the full price and won’t cancel it.
This app is horrible I already received birth co trip directly from planned parenthood office a before the order was shipped but they won’t cancel my order, can’t change the prescription either when the original one prescribed doesn’t work for my body I need a lower dose.I don’t know what to do. Seems like this app is a scam.

It all seemed so easy. Give them some medical history and they send you birth control. No need for anyone to touch you. I had a great experience on the previous app. But unfortunately the clinician that received my application this time was as unhelpful as can be. She first told me that I could only receive a certain type of pill due to my medical history and would be switching me, then on the FaceTime call she did not remember that she was going to switch me to a different pill. She then called me back after hanging up saying she would switch me to the new pill and did not inform me about the new pill. It did not have placebos and will make me miss my period. Two things I never said I wanted. I have completely wasted $60 due to her error. There is no refunds and nothing she can do about her error. She also lied to me saying she told me I wouldn’t have a period on this new pill, had I heard that I would have stopped her. I’m now going to use a more knowledgeable app for my birth control needs.

I used the older version of this app and although that one wasn’t the most intuitive, it got the job done. I used it for about a year and got my birth control refills right on time and never stressed. But when this app came out I noticed that I didn’t get my refills, I forgot my login info so I tried to reset my account but I didn’t get any emails. There was no number to call for tech support so I just called the general PP helpline, they couldn’t help me out with this app but we’re still understanding and helped me set up an appointment. The entire process has stressed me out, what was helpful about this app was that I could order birth control from home and get it quickly but it seems like they lost my info in the transfer. I had recommended the old app to a lot of my friends so now I feel bad that they might be in the same boat as me. Next time you do a big update give instructions for how we can continue to use your service!!

Physicians clearly don’t listen and don’t respond to the needs and wishes of the patients. I experienced constant bleeding with a BC and went to the doctor and was told to stop. After I went I contacted my prescribing clinician to explain the horrific problems I have and that I wanted to switch back. She then tried forcing me to stay on the same script that the hospital had just told me to discontinue, after telling me to “go to the hospital if you’re bleeding continuously” - which clearly said to me that this entire time she wasn’t listening and was just trying to push their new sponsoring brand. Went straight to the pill club, had a virtual appointment, and got my BC of MY CHOICE THAT I’M PAYING FOR prescribed within 24 hours and sent to me for HALF THE PRICE EVEN WITHOUT INSURANCE. Never again, as a cervical/ovarian cancer survivor- trying to continue to prescribe what she did was DANGEROUS to say the least.
