A weekly relief

I look forward to my counseling appointment every week, and I know that may sound incredibly lame, but it genuinely has been such an enormous help to me. Just having someone objective that I know I can trust to unload my brain to, without feeling bad, makes me feel secure and put together. Truthfully, you have to do the work with your own mind, but to have someone consistently who knows what you are going through is a major help in the healing process, because sometimes you just need help to lift your heavy feelings off your shoulders. I recommend counseling to anyone who might be struggling because even if it doesn’t provide an immediate cure to whatever issues you’re experiencing, it invites you to look inside yourself and discover how powerful your own really mind is, and discover the immediate strength you gain when you realize that YOU are the one in control of your own mind. I wish you all peace, health, and happiness, good luck!

Best decision

I enrolled my daughter for teen counseling to address her anxiety and depression. I’ve reached out to several local therapists but struggled to find a competent therapist I trusted that had experience with teens. I read other reviews and decided to give Teen Counseling through the Better Help app a try and it was the best decision. We were paired with an excellent therapist who has been working with teens for over 20 years. Not only does she provide a safe and open space to talk but is also super solution focused. Her suggestions have proven to be very helpful. She is also available to message in between therapy sessions. As a parent learning about teen depression and anxiety, it’s so valuable and reassuring to be able to message the therapist any time with questions and updates. This is an incredible app and highly recommended!!

SO THANKFUL FOR THIS APP

I’ve never written a review before but it frustrates me that there are so many bad reviews on this! I have been using this since October of 2018 - about 7 months ago. At that time, there was a LOT of bad controversy about better help after Shane dawson was sponsored by them. This made me skeptical, but I felt inclined to at least try it for myself anyways after watching a video with a in depth good review on it. I was in the worst mindset I had ever been when I began consoling. The lady I got paired with was a perfect match right away. She’s quite responsive and I feel there’s a mutual trust. Before this I was terrified to do therapy young because my sister had a terrible experience at a nearby center. I couldn’t be more happy to do therapy online. I genuinely look forward to my sessions. She helped get me out of a really bad place.
