Can’t add my information
2022-05-27
by MadKukla
TDAlertsUS has made me a wreck since last night. I downloaded TDAlertsUS and started to enter my information and I keep getting error messages telling me to activate my card or check that the information is correct. MY CARD HAS BEEN ACTIVATED FOR A YEAR AND I KNOW 100% THAT THE INFORMATION IS CORRECT!!! what’s even worse is it says if this doesn’t stop please call and gives you a phone number to call that is no longer in service!!!!! How professional is that. I called the customer service for the regular app and they said that TDAlertsUS is depart from the mobile app and they don’t know how to fix any issues. Even the agent I spoke to thought I should be able to login with my TD Mobile sign on and password. Now isnt that funny?? Now I can’t get into the alerts app and basically nothing anyone can do to help. Great!! I should have went to Bank of America. 🤦♀️
Error message when trying to update alerts
2022-06-28
by BMAC13579
I’ve been using TD Alerts for years without any issues, but now any time I try to update or modify the alerts I keep getting an error message saying that my “request cannot be processed at this time”. I’ve been trying to update things for weeks now and keep getting the same message. I’ve even tried at different times of day (morning, afternoon, night) with no change. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Great idea bad execution!

TDAlertsUS should be incorporated with the main TD banking app. You shouldn’t have to download another app to tell you about alerts that you can see on another app?! We should swipe our card and an alert should be automatic if you OPTED to receive alerts from the main app! Simple!! Took me 10 times for my debit card info to be accepted kept saying info doesn’t match yet it was the same each time.. the bank should be sophisticated enough to just alert you all the time based on ur opt in options ... do you opt in to get alerts based on activity from ur debit card ? Yes = result is then a text message to ur phone when u swipe ur card simple! Don’t over complicate this with another app ... other banks have digieres that out hope we catch up!
Terrible app useless support

Can’t find it here searching “TD” Features should be incorporated in the main customer app and also editable on web page.
Separate pages for setting each type of alert. They should all be on one page.
At initial setup was given opportunity to add additional card.
(No opportunity to set up alert on main 5 figure account since we don’t use debit cards)
Kept insisting I was entering account info wrong but I was copying it from current statements.
called up TD support,
I get ____ in tech support who asks me five security questions related to all three accounts, tells me I answered one wrong, I ask which one she tells me she cant tell me, (I think it was about current activity, I told her I JUST finished scanning and uploading a check to be deposited), and that I am staring at a years years worth of online statements, plus my current activity screen on my computer, what would she like me to verify
So she tells me she cant help me I ask for a supervisor and she leaves me on hold for 15 minutes before I hang up and write this.
Happy that TD created an app that notifies you of activity... if only it actually worked. When I initially downloaded I would get notified of transactions, but recently realized I hadn’t been getting any. Went back into TDAlertsUS to see why I wasn’t getting notified to find that all my settings were turned off. I went to turn them back on and an error message popped up. Would be great if TD could add this to their main app and also allow you to get notifications for your credit card as well. So surprised that this hasn’t been done as other banks have been doing this for some time. Keeping my fingers crossed they get with the times soon 🤞🏻
Horrible App

Great idea, though it’s certainly a bit behind in comparison to other banks. Why you have to download a separate app to get alerts for TD bank is ridiculous. Alerts should be integrated with the original app if you’re opting to get alerts, like other banks. TDAlertsUS also take FOREVER. I tried to create an account and it took so long to load and verify the info to get to the next screen. TDAlertsUS just kept loading, and every time I left TDAlertsUS for a second to check something else, it made me start over. I stopped trying after the 3rd time (especially after waiting 10min on the same screen for the last time). I ultimately deleted it. GET IT TOGETHER TD

that application does not work and I do not recommend it to anyone, I took money twice in two different TD bank, one was in Queen NY, and the other one was the second AVE in Manhattan ny ,, I took the money out on a specific day, and I got the alert. 4 days later, the alert is supposed to appear, as soon as you use the card in any place immediately I do not recommend it to anyone, I recommend you change banks, that has that alert system, like the chase or american bank It is very good to know, when you use it, remember that there are people who clone it ,,, remember that there are gas stations stores and buy online, which can be used without you knowing
Worst TD feature ever

If I could give a 0 I would. TDAlertsUS is really horrible and a waste of space. I don’t understand why td has their customers having to use a separate app just to receive notifications on their accounts. It’s truly absurd especially when it doesn’t even work for every transaction all the time. I don’t understand why more people aren’t complaining about this or why td still has a separate app. We should be able to receive notifications through the same app where we check our accounts. No other bank does this, it’s ridiculous.
Used to work until I upgraded my phone

I just upgraded my iPhone 8 to an iPhone 12. I had no problems with TDAlertsUS on my old iPhone. It worked perfectly. I logged in and set up the push notifications I wanted. Nothing. I’ve made two purchases above the threshold for my alert and no alert. Took out money from the ATM, no alert. It says it should work on my phone, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. What aggravates me the most is that TD is more than capable of having alert settings in their banking app. Bank of American and Amex do. I get push notifications for both of those apps. Having to download a separate app for TD, that now doesn’t even work, is the epitome of frustrating.
TDAlertsUS gives me notifications in a timely manner almost all the time. The thing is…..it only notifies me of withdrawals, never deposits. There is no option anywhere to be notified when a deposit is made into your account. I’ve even called about this exact issue and they have no answer to give me. (1)Notify for deposits and (2)put the resulting balance amount by every transaction on the banking app and it would be the best banking app out there. By the way these are all features that the Bank of America banking app has….I left bank of a america to come to td bank.
Falls short

This functionality should be part of the main TD Bank app, not separate. Also there needs to be an option to set the alert threshold lower than $1. The first fraudulent charge I had was $0.01. The next was $20. Other people got the one cent charge followed by hundreds or thousands. I want to be alerted for all charges, not just $1 and up.
Customer Support/Service Could Improve

The various phone numbers on app are unclear whether they are for TDAlertsUS other services. I tried the first number displayed and waited 20 then 35 minutes on hold. There’s also no chat functionality or email contact available. The should also consider sending a test alert when you first sign up and enter your card given the amount of info requested and apparent lack of validation of the same.
app keeps crashing
2023-06-08
by Plagaise
every time I try to sign upp for alerts with TDAlertsUS TDAlertsUS crashes. Why don't they just include the ability to get alerts for my card in the regular td bank app? I am raising my rating to 4 stars because I tried TDAlertsUS again and it did not crash this time. Its been working fine so far ever since I got my card set up on TDAlertsUS.
Not able to enter more than one card

by Truelovetran9
I can’t use this apps to enter more than one card. Is it possible to enhance it so I can enter more than one cards and also can set up alert for my credit card . Right now I can only set up the debit card only. Thanks
When I first set it up it took a while to send notifications but now it send alerts like seconds after I buy something. The only complaint I have is that it doesn’t record any transactions as history. It just gives a notification, that’s all. I do believe this feature should just be installed in the original TD bank app but oh well... guess we have to download two apps. Overall it works just like it says to but I would like to have some kind of record of my transactions in TDAlertsUS.

Good App - Useful

Good app, but other banks are starting to incorporate this into their main apps. Hopefully TD catches up to speed.
For those who were experiencing issues with “sorry we are unable to process your request” — I experienced the same issue at first. Try removing your card and typing it in again on the main page. It worked like a breeze for me after.

Just Needs deposit notifications

love TDAlertsUS , please add deposit notifications too in the future so we can know when we get our paychecks and other deposits
The ability to see your transactionsAt the moment of transaction is awesome helps me to keep track of every transaction I make, and gives me added security to know that if anyone else tries to make a transaction on my account I will see it first.. love it!
TRASH APP

by NYdreamz
The fact that TD does not support a function to set up notifications for every time your cards are used in their main app is pretty inconvenient to start. TDAlertsUS is a hot pile of garbage to say the least. Very poorly coded in the way your password has to be created and once I finally got into TDAlertsUS it said my card wasn’t supported. Thanks for this one I guess? I’ll just use the apps for the cards I use once I’ve moved on from this bank. Integrate your systems into one or continue to drown :/
Terrible app.

It could be a really good added security feature, but they really need to get the kinks out. You can use your fingerprint to sign in, but there's no function to sign out. Also, when I received a notification for a fraud alert, it just flashes on my phone quickly. TDAlertsUS doesn't show where the purchase was made from or the dollar amount.
Doesn’t always work
2024-11-14
by JeffNNJ
The purpose of TDAlertsUS is to alert you whenever your card is used. While it always works when you’re getting cash from a TD location, using it elsewhere is spotty at best. Sometimes it alerts you hours later, other times not at all. Since that’s the only reason for having it, I’m giving one generous star.
Bad app

Td starts to make online Banking much more difficult. To set an alarm to my card I have to instal a new app on my phone. And TDAlertsUS clearly has bug I can't not even enrolled. It continues telling me I set my password wrong. I hope td goes back to before which you can simply sets up everything on your computer. Or, if you plan to want your custom switch to the phones, then at least make better apps!!! Go fix your app!!!
Seriously this thing works like 30% of the time. I have a iphonex, T-Mobile service and extremely strong signals in my area. TDAlertsUS will send the alerts 3-4 hours later or not at all. I gave up on this over a year ago because it did the same activity, now I reloaded TDAlertsUS again to give it another shot and guess what,,same useless delayed crap. You would think TD bank might want to focus on TDAlertsUS since it’s the only way to get push notifications on your phone of your bank activity. All other banks have this feature incorporated into a single bank app not a separate app. UHG , I love banking with TD ,,absolutely hate this useless app. Come on people get it together,,it’s almost 2020
Terrible app

Not directly synced with bank , have to make a whole new account just for TDAlertsUS and keeps telling me that the info I use on my regular TD account every single day is incorrect including my address which I live at and it just doesn’t make any sense TD needs to do better. I should be able to monitor all this stuff from my original app for online banking
Maybe it would be better if it actually let me enroll

by Ccwheaton
TDAlertsUS seems like it would be a really convenient thing and I would love to find out how to use it. Unfortunately it won’t let me even enroll. I’ve tried every day, multiple times a day since TDAlertsUS was released, but it still isn’t processing my request. Hope it’s fixed soon
Great App

by Lamuhamad
I have seen all of these negative reviews about how TDAlertsUS is delayed in producing notifications when your card is charged and honestly I have not experienced that I have it set up to get app notifications as well as texts and they both come within seconds of me making a purchase so it’s kinda weird seeing all these other people complaining but what I will say I find it very silly that you have to create a new TD account just to get purchase alerts

This is the best thing since ice cream and cake. I love this. I was contacted at 2am. From the fraud dept. someone hacked my account and was about to clean my account out. If they didn’t catch it. I’m so happy to have TDAlertsUS. Thank you TD bank. ❤️💋❤️
