There needs to be a correction made in the article written March 2021 concerning the burial of Col. Jerry Sage. He isn’t buried in Dothan AL. He is buried at our cemetery in Enterprise AL. Meadowlawn Memorial Park.

Initially had issues with listening radio when upgraded to iOS 11 but the issue has been fixed. Some content is better when logging in through server.

I love the idea of having an app for this app. I love their site and read the articles mainly from my phone, so it only makes sense to have an app. SOFREP is an utter disappointment.

Firstly, every hyperlink and image on articles is overly sensitive; I find myself going to ad links three or four times per article when I was just trying to scroll down the page. Secondly, longer articles do no load in fully; the page glitches and stops only part of the way down making it impossible to read the full article.

Next, the home page images are extremely slow to load, so it almost always appears that each article has the same image.

Furthermore, this app TV just doesn't work at all. None of the video and audio work, and generally if you click it, you'll be stuck at the loading page indefinitely.

Lastly, you cannot listen to audio while using SOFREP . So much for listening to music while reading articles... Even if you're only reading articles and not using the unreliable this app radio or attempting to use the broken this app TV, it still shuts off your music the moment you open it.

Overall, great idea but horrible execution. I hope they aren't paying someone to create/manage it... it's garbage.

I used to subscribe to the site as well as the podcast. Every day the amount of new or unique content on the site goes down and it seems like they’re stretching the content they do have as much as possible. Lots of recycled articles, or at least large parts of them. They’re not very long or in-depth either.

As for the podcast - absolutely garbage since Ian left. They used to have a well-produced show, packed with a revolving door of interesting and highly-placed guests. Now it’s Brandon jabbering with a buddy of his every week. And speaking of jabbering, Brandon needs to stop taking several paragraphs to spit out what could be said in one sentence. Put the thesaurus down and stop with the word spaghetti. It’s almost like he’s trying to fill time (which is a similar concept to the articles on the site, discussed above).

It really feels like the wheels are coming off as Hurricane Media seems to be more interesting in becoming Stitch Fix for dudes (Crate Club), rather than a news and media outlet.

Major bummer to see.

SOFREP is really impressive for the first go around and operates very well overall. Anything bad I have to say about it would largely be nitpicking but I'll put it out there anyway.

My only gripes with SOFREP are:
- slight lag while scrolling down, particularly as you're getting further down in the articles
- video wouldn't flip to horizontal orientation (could be user error but I don't know how to fix it, my screen lock was not on)
- I'd like to see the this app podcast side operate more like the Apple podcasts where I can download it (no data usage), and fast-forward or rewind in 15-second intervals.

Again, small details to gripe with but that's all I got! Great app and even better content! Thanks this app

1. PLEASE give the option to change the font size. It can be extremely difficult to read at times

2. PLEASE give the option to change the background color to white on the articles.

Please provide an update on allowing the white background for reading articles!!!

The interviews are diverse and interesting. I love listening to this app on car rides.

Only commentary: iPhone app doesn't let you listen if phone has gone into lock screen when listening with headphones.

No bs opinions straight and forward news app written by veterans who knows what there doing

Horrible app. It continually asks for my credentials and then says it’s wrong. Then when I put in email for reset it says email is not correct. I use this email on the laptop and iPad and iPhone. So I know it’s SOFREP . They fix it one month and the next it’s jacked up again. Horrible programmers apparently

Issues with playback on team room member account. I am also having issues saving episodes. Can you get rid of adds for team room logins? I already read the Power of Thought. Thanks!

I love the layout and style of this new app. this app kills it in yet another field.

I’m a paid subscriber. SOFREP has had issues for nearly 2 months. Can’t access via the website either. Customer service doesn’t answer emails.

Love the content, but I’m constantly dealing with new bugs and issues, even after updates.

Glad to get this perspective undergirded with sensibility and depth of knowledge.

I have a paid membership and SOFREP has not worked for weeks.
Makes you wonder about these guys

They will automatically charge you and subscribe you to “crate club” 79.99 a month. They make it very difficult to unsubscribe.
