If you are trying to make it work and buy a plan in a country with heavy censorship then you need to use another VPN service to be able to login and purchase a plan, right? Because obviously this app website is filtered. So far not their fault. Now if you use a VPN to access this app website then you can’t login because this app itself uses CloudFlare and just denies you! You don’t have this problem with top vpn providers because they use customized security services designed for VPN services and not a generic CloudFlare service.

I have to restart the vpn every time I switch from WiFi to 5G or when I jump from one WiFi to another. It randomly just stops working and needs to be restarted every 20 min or so. The best part is when it’s hung up it takes 2 min for PrivateVPN to open. I would spend a little more money and get something else

There’s no way they are 4.6 rating. Definitely fake reviews.
I’m using PrivateVPN in E. Africa and it doesn’t always work. Often times other apps will not work properly unless I delete PrivateVPN .

It even kicks me off the WiFi network.
I’ve tried contacting customer service and after going through their process it still doesn’t work. They don’t offer partial refunds for yearly subscription. They’re also not on Apple TV. Which means u would have to stream from phone. I suggest NORD since they are and have better reviews.

I’m currently living in Cambodia so I need to use a VPN to have access to many of the streaming subscriptions that I want that are USA based. My favorite sports and movie services block me from viewing or say I need to pay a premium to view because I am out of the country but isn’t that what I’m paying you for? With my old VPN I never had a problem but like an idiot I went with you less expensive service and like they say “ you get what you pay for” and so needless to say I wasted my money and I’m disappointed.

I had PIA VPN for a long time which is GREAT (that’s what I’m going back to ) but I just was curious in trying something new, so I did. I ran into private vpn and it was good when it worked. At least once a week though it would lock me out of my account and I wouldn’t be able to use it for several hours... I talked to customer service multiple times and they were no help other than tell me to reinstall my apps lol. I honestly regret letting the 30 days pass up cause I wish I could get my money back. When it would work on my phone, the connection would drop all the time... not a good mobile app

Be aware this VPN does not work well in China!
I asked them before I ordered it if I needed it for my work, and they confirmed that I would do a job in China
It wokrked one hour daily even paid version.
I have 4 VPNs installed, and only Astril works in China.
After a month's subscription, they automatically second month charge your card again without your approval, which does not make sense. Why did I choose the most expensive one-month subscription? The support team refunded the money, but it was hard to deal with.

Thought I had a problem with my phone. Under settings WIFI was supposedly connected however there was no WiFi icon present on my display. Trying to connect with anything verified I was in fact not connected. I disabled WiFi in settings. Same problem. After 3 hours on the phone with both Verizon and Apple, the Apple rep made an appointment for me at the nearest apple store. Phone was checked out it was capable of WiFi but not able to connect. Apple rep cleared my phone as if it was new. WiFi connected no problem. Was advised to add apps manually in case one was the cause of the issue. I restored app after app and still was connected to WiFi UNTIL I restored Private VPN! The same problem returned. I immediately deleted PrivateVPN and the WiFi was back. I won’t be using this again....I paid for one year but have to ditch it after a couple months. Waste of money!

PrivateVPN disconnects me from internet when the VPN is on often. Its frustrating. Their customer service is from 9am to 3-4 pm London time( GMT+1). So, if you are from USA or anywhere else, you wouldn’t be able to get help from them. I would recommend only if you are looking for cheap VPN. Otherwise its not recommended. There are other VPNs which work really well like Express VPN, NordVPN and Surfshark ( all these VPNs customer service is 24*7).

this app used to be my VPN of choice but since they have switched to new ownership, their service and support have been lacking. The server location I have to use has been down for over a week and support has reassured me that it would be online soon, but it continues to be unusable. I have requested a refund but was refused as I am not a new customer within 30 days of my first subscription. Other options out there include more modern protocols like wireguard and have better support

I used Private VPN abroad, the product worked fine, but the task of cancelling the subscription when I got back was tedious and time consuming, which in my book is not worth a good review. You cannot cancel the subscription on the “My Account” tab on PrivateVPN and the website interface, which you ultimately have to cancel on, is painstakingly difficult to navigate. Cancelling the subscription took longer than actually setting up the VPN to begin with, a sure sign that the VPN’s creators are trying to scam users when there use is no longer needed. Why not sell a months worth of subscription and give users the option to not automatically renew?

I have an iPhone 11 max pro and whenever I use the vpn, all my other internet stops working, it won’t let me send text messages to anyone, so I turn it off and none of my service or internet will turn back on. ( Even when I turn off the device). Please help!!!!!!!!! I have a disabled mom who calls me when she needs help, I need for it to start working again.

Support. Before I got an email back, it finally connected so I let them know right away. I got an email from Manish Gehlot asking if there was anything else they could help with. I said no, other than if they are having problems with their product? Mannish wrote back and said, “Are you making fun of me?” WHAT?????? When my subscription runs out, I’ll buy from someone else. That remark was uncalled for. CONGRATS MANISH! You just lost a customer!

I used private VPN during covid, and it worked perfectly fine! Streamed other countries Netflix, and was honestly so happy with the service.
I recently downloaded the VPN on my phone, and it has not worked once. I mainly use it to stream Netflix, as I travel quite frequently. I’ve tried everything to make the vpn work. It’s just not showing me other countries Netflix options. I’m so disappointed.

, cannot seem to go very long without dropping connection on iPhone. I haven't yet discovered why, possibly an over trafficked situation at server, or is setting which is dropping connection at a preset interval or maybe loses connection if dynamic IP is reset. (Alternatively, some free VPN services have no problem staying connected). But it still a very smooth interface that works extremely well for at least short term communication.
I have liked very much the computer version for Windows 10, no real issues other than automatic connection on boot up is not a thing I have been able to make work; on the paid premium application. This problem, however, may be a firewall/antivirus issue in my own system. Once on, it has been excellent. It is one of the few VPN services I like and recommend. OR DID, ANYWAY.

Adding update:
Many times switching countries( certain countries), will be an improvement to connection stability. U.S located servers seem to be jittery (for undisclosed reasons)😱. Additionally, the PC version needs to have a removal tool to lift out old version (which seems very well embedded) so that new updated version can be installed. At this point the current version will not install per it’s own conflict message and is totally useless on a Windows PC. Paid the yearly upgrade fee and apparently it is a poor bargain. Only usable on IOS mobile. At times.

Overall, this product delivers, but just barely. The mobile app is particularly disappointing. Rarely does it connect on the first attempt. Usually I have to log out and back into my account to connect. It often blocks the ability to connect to a wifi network and I have to try several different sequences several times to establish connection. Quite disappointing.

The servers does not have any indicators of how busy they are. You could be connecting to the busiest server and its laggy. I emailed customer service a yesterday, still no answer smh. Very basic interface. You don't know if PrivateVPN is working or not. I guess as long as it's connected, it should be working. I don't know if I'm going to like it yet.

Update *** finally I got someone on email to go back and forth with the issue. And he said that's a regular iPhone connectivity issue and he will fix it. I like the fact when it's connected. It feels like good connection. Just staying connected is the issue for now. 3.5 ✨

The price was decent but PrivateVPN failed. It did not unblock all websites. PrivateVPN caused my internet to run very slow. And sometimes PrivateVPN worked and sometimes it did not. It’s been one week since I requested a refund and I still haven’t gotten a refund back. DO NOT GET THIS VPN, there are better ones out there like Cyber ghost

Something happened with PrivateVPN, it now won’t turn off the vpn, and then you can’t log back into PrivateVPN to turn it off, you have to go into settings and turn off Connect On Demand, but you have to do it every time you use it in order to turn the vpn off.

In latest version (3.10.0) the on button does not indicate the vpn is on when you open PrivateVPN even though the vpn is on. This can cause confusion?? I had no issues with the previous version.

I’ve been using for a couple of months and no issues. I especially like the ability to use their vpn servers with my windows 10 device as well as both of my apple iPhones no sweat. Only knock would be the user interface on PrivateVPN . The lack of ability to control different options as well as the lack of customer support. But for the price so far so good 2 months in.

Few apps delivering vpn work on this old iOS, but this one does and it works well. As we speak I'm located somewhere on planet earth...guess!

I just downloaded PrivateVPN and I need a VPN badlyI’ve never used one before and when I downloaded your app it went to the login page where you put in your password and your email address but since I just downloaded it I don’t have an account yet it doesn’t have any place for me to make an account and it’s telling me that either my email or my password was wrong so I’m confused on how to start an account went to give that option

Using for a month so far, no any problems appeared.

The application is simple and easy to use. I am satisfied with its speed and stability.

I have never had a problem connecting or with the speeds. Actually have faster speeds when connected. I have left it on accidentally and never noticed the difference. Great service! Money well spent!

PrivateVPN signs me out when I use my work WiFi. And when this happens, my phone can not connect to the internet anymore. Please fix this and I’ll revise my review score to 5 stars. I’ve been with you guys for over an year now and I have no qualms about the PC version.

I see some bad reviews but none seem to deal with any actual issues. Mostly logging in and things like that. I looked around for a while and ended up trying this out, it connects quick and automatically, no lag of any kind, and lets me connect 6 devices at same time. No real issues in almost a year.

After six months of using twice the 3-month plan, I decided on doing the 3-year subscription. It’s economical, easy to use and can protect my online activities.
