I have been unable to get MercedesBenzPartScan to work at all. Will not scan the image to verify from recall.

app opens and runs. will not recognize bar code when being scanned. app works without issues on my iphone 6s.
With LG phones I never had an issue. An occasional hiccup when scanning some bar codes however I knew it was because of the barcode being old. I now have an iPhone Xr and MercedesBenzPartScan literally does not work.... AT ALL!
I open MercedesBenzPartScan up and, give permission to access camera, attempt to use bar scanner and will not scan for nothing. I have tried over 20 plus cars and nothing. The part that is frustrating is that I have no other option at this point. No option to enter manually. Either scan the bar code or your just not using MercedesBenzPartScan because there are no setting features. Literally no other option available.
My phone is up to date as well. Please MBUSA, fix this.
iPhone Xs Max ios12. Camera is not able to used no allowance in settings to use. How am I suppose to submit airbag serial numbers to generate id code if your app doesn't work. Please fix immediately. This would be a come back if it were a car in the shop
