I purchased the ZEISS 10 X 42 RF binoculars because of the built in ballistic program. When I attempted to sync with the ZEISS Hunter App I was exasperated.

ZEISSHunting has a function that is supposed to measure local conditions using cel towers. This does not happen. The charts that are displayed are accurate only for sea level. Fortunately the binoculars know where it is and makes appropriate adjustments. If you sight your rifle at sea level things are fine at altitude if you only rely on the binoculars for holdover. If you rely on the chart in ZEISSHunting it will not adjust for altitude.

I talked with tech support three different times and they were not aware of the problem. They told me I should always use the automatic “conditions function before syncing with the binoculars. That gives accurate results only if you are zeroing the rifle at sea level.

When I first purchased my Zeiss HD5 3-15x42 rifle scope with a Rapid Z 800 reticle, Zeiss had a very simple and intuitive ballistic calculator on their website. They’ve subsequently removed that simple calculator and replaced it with one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. It is difficult to navigate, doesn’t retain all of the ballistic inputs, requires you use a 200 yard zero (the orig app didn’t have that limitation). I’m also finding the recommended magnification isn’t even consistent. Don’t waste your time on an app you’ll spend 3 hours trying to figure out how to navigate that you should be able to become proficient on in 3 minutes. Shame on Zeiss. This program was obviously thrown together. The sad thing is the original calculator worked very well.

I used ZEISSHunting for the first time this year. I found it very intuitive and easy to use. Could their ammunition and scope database use some updates? Yes. But those things change so often that it’s not easy to keep the database up to date. But beyond that, it’s an excellent app. The ballistic drop calculator works great. The weather integration is awesome. If you are a shooter, ZEISSHunting is for you.

I thought I could sight in myself;then realized I needed to try the ballistics calculator. It was a surprise using their formula that it all fell in a place. Had a very good morning at the range shooting from 200 to 600 yards. The software saved a lot of time and wasted ammo.

Well... let me start with saying I work for he local gun shop. Over 3 years now. We got training by our ZEISS rep and thank god I took it. ZEISSHunting is the prefect match to the scope. Do your homework with the bullet you are shooting and this will be precise! The drops and clicks are almost prefect. Love ZEISSHunting

ZEISSHunting works. Sometimes it freezes and it is slow on my iPhone 8. I like the different profiles you can set up. Hopefully they can work out the bugs

Wish I had control to organize tabs in the table. ZEISSHunting is ok but I will most likely use it for raw data and refine it the old fashioned way with my army issued write in the rain notebook. Would also be nice to edit and modify the data to reflect my actual data

First time user of ZEISS products and ZEISSHunting, very good for getting dialed in for long range shooting and hunting.

For the price of this scope ZEISSHunting should be enabled to adjust the zero. Most of my shots are under 300 and the average shot is around 100 so I’m zeroed at 100 yards. The fact that I can’t use the reticle view in ZEISSHunting is terrible compared to my other rifle that has a Nikon and their app is much more user friendly and adaptable to the individual needs. Love this scope, hate ZEISSHunting !

Great asset to have for shot making and conditions for Great hunting.

ZEISSHunting works but it’s not the most user-friendly ballistic program, especially for a phone app that you expect to use out in the field.

A real confidence booster in the ability to reach out there a ways.

Great app only needs a wind meter portion of app, to include 3rd party onsite wind meter.

Would really like to have the option for standard units of measure such as yards/degrees Fahrenheit

This is App is an incredible resource to anyone who hunts. This is why I use Zeiss Products, not only are the optics incredible but the people behind the optics know what hunters need and want.

Cannot get app to use inches.

I can’t understand how they can make such good optics and such an unfriendly ap.

ZEISSHunting is unbelievably slow on my IPhone 8. Cant view reticle on my Terra rz8.

A vast improvement over earlier versions. An app more in line with Zeiss's reputation for quality products.

This works great with my i-phone.Nice to have reference for changing conditions no matter where you are.
