Privacy issues? At least concerns

I purchased an eufy scale partly based on its association with the Anker name (something they proudly displays all over EufyLife ). When I read that there was a sign-up step to configuring it, I was a little worried that it was another cloudy ploy to collect marketing information, but was pleasantly surprised that they offered a guest mode which doesn't require sign-up. Unfortunately, it won't share data with apple health without sign-up. I'm not sure if this is an apple-enforced app sandboxing, but I have other apps that can.
Just now, looking at my phones battery settings, I found that EufyLife had been active for 2 hours and 55 minutes with only one minute of that being because it was in the foreground. What exactly is it doing when I'm not using it?
All in all, I'm a little worried about privacy incursions. I like the functionality, but it seems to be busy with more than I've asked for, so it's officially on probation.

These charts are terrible

The scale gets bad measurements for things like body fat sometimes, and it charts it out on terrible charts that have no scale to the axises-weigh yourself on may 3 and on December 3 and then again on December 5? Those three data points will all be next to each other. If your weight fluctuates .1 pounds in that time you might have a giant spike for that.

The scale is unreliable in on getting at least body fat-sometimes it reports I’m suddenly 60% body fat-and it does that for other members of the house. If that’s not reliable, what can I trust about it? What is this scales’ selling features? What are it’s core functions? Because it is unreliable as device and because the data it reports-even if it were reliable-is worthless in EufyLife , I give this 1 star-and that’s because at least it reports this bad data to Apple HealthKit, which does report the data on much easier-to-read charts.

Almost perfect

I love my scale. I had a Withings until it died and customer service was useless so I got this one. Set up was easy.
I have two issues which keep me from giving it 5 stars. 1. I have to open the this app app in order to save my measurement and then it saves the one so just took before I opened EufyLife . Either save it without me having to open EufyLife or don’t save it after I do another measurement. 2. Occasionally I have to login to EufyLife . Not a problem but it doesn’t use Apple’s api to allow accessing passwords. I have to go out of EufyLife , open 1Password, copy the password and go back to this app. This is not ideal first thing in the morning with my glasses off!

Unable to login anymore

UPDATE: Developer responded very quickly and published a fix!

I am not unable to login to EufyLife after a phone and app upgrade because the new app thinks my email address is not formatted correctly. I created my account over 3 years ago and had been using EufyLife without issue until now. Please fix the email field validation. And yes, I didn’t confirm my account is correct because I am able to login on the website.

I love the C1 except...

I truly enjoy using (and looking at) my new C1 scale!!!
Though for the first thirty, or so, weighings I was mostly only able to receive weight/bmi data; until I discovered a work around!
For whatever reasons, my feet do not make proper electrical contact with the scale; I now lightly dampen the contacts with a microfiber cloth before use!
Now I receive full readings over 90% of the time! I still occasionally receive just weight/bmi data, though only very rarely.
On EufyLife side:
I really like the additional graphics under the 'TRENDS’ section, though for myself the 'last' tracking does not assist me greatly...
If you were to add some, or all, additional display options to 'TRENDS’ it would be a greater help!
- Options:
Daily average
Lowest daily value
Highest daily value
Thank you for your time and Great Products!

Pleasantly surprised

I am very impressed with this scale and app! I bought this scale basically expecting to return it, thinking I probably wouldn’t like the interface or it would be glitchy. EufyLife is actually GREAT, it works with no problems and the interface is pleasant and easy to understand. Great job!!

Needs Greater Attention To Accessibility

As a blind person i was able to configure EufyLife without the need for any sighted assistance. Pairing the device the first time was a bit buggy. Initially the registration page would not go past the third page. The workaround was to go to Settings/Bluetooth and finding it there and then going back into EufyLife . The device does seem to work as promised, but the layout is not suitable for VoiceOver and many of the buttons are unlabeled. Hopefully a future release will address these issues.

It helps

Having this scale in my bathroom allows me to conveniently weigh myself after a shower. EufyLife is super easy to use. Aesthetically pleasing. I haven't had anyone else in my family log in because I don't want access to their weight. I would like for everyone to be able to log in independently so I haven't tried out this feature. Other than that Ibcan definitely see trends in real time and I like the info it gives. Good inexpensive purchase. I bought mine at Burlington.

Increase reports listed in trends

The scale itself is pretty good and I like the reports it lists in EufyLife . The main problem with EufyLife is that you can only see the historical trend for 4 of the 10+ data points it collects. So I can’t look at a visualization of my bone mass, protein, etc.

Since EufyLife still has this information (it’s viewable in the history) how hard would it be to graph it?!?!

Separately the scale is great but some of the numbers in the analytics are still pretty dubious.

Love this app, just missing one thing

We have had the scale for years shared between my partner and I and is reliable and works well for daily health monitoring. The only thing that it is missing is, in data trends EufyLife doesn't include the year! If you someone that looks back at a bunch of data points and wants to compare - you can only see the exact date. At least give us a tooltip!

Apple Health Syncing Issues

EufyLife and smart scale I use synced the data to Apple health for the first couple of months of using the device; at one point it stopped recording the measurements in Apple health.

When I contacted this app representatives, they said it was a backend issue and all they recommended was to wait for their servers to sync.

I reached out again for an export of my personal health data, and unlike other smart devices, they do not allow you to reclaim your data that they have recorded. Do not utilize EufyLife if you need a reliable and trustworthy option to record health data.

Requires a remote account

You can’t use EufyLife without having a this app account. You can’t even get past the splash screen without signing up. But I don’t want a remote account. I don’t want my data leaving my device. Why can’t I use my new scale without creating a remote account? I bought the scale specifically because it was advertised as using just Bluetooth and not needing a remote server connection; apparently that was a lie.

Doesn’t even offer Sign In With Apple, so you have to give them a real email address.

Incredibly disappointed.

Data presentation needs some work

Data presentation , especially historic data or trends, need some work. Right now it omits important metrics like visceral fat, is full of erroneous 60% body fat measurements, and doesn’t give you many options for viewing data (or even tell you what year you’re on if you scroll back to last year or before). It was clearly made by a marketing/art guy rather than a data science guy, which is too bad.

My Weight App is not Your Advertising Platform

I don’t know which dumb person at this app thought it was a good idea to try to sell me a vacuum when I’m tracking my weight, but you are wrong. I use a product for the purpose I bought it for, not to learn about your other products. Giving me notifications and splash screens for your other products is a deal breaker, and it is slimy. Stop. Because your choices are counterproductive to your goal. I will not buy any other Eufy devices if this is the way it is going to be.

No Apple health compatibility, no data export

Your historic weight/body-fat % data lives exclusively on their servers. You can't sync it to Apple health or export it in any way.

The point of a smart scale is that you can do something with the data, but they don't let you control your own information. Recommend paying more for a scale that doesn't defeat its own purpose.

Setting goal

I have only one issue with this wonderful scale, and it is only during setup. Setting my goal is a royal pain. It starts at 100 and I have to go up one pound at a time from there. Would be so much easier if it started at my current weight and let me go down from there OR if I could press and move the line that shows.

Worked perfectly with the scale and Fitbit app

Very easy to set up and use. I have been using a Fitbit to manage and track workouts. But as I shift to loosing fat and gain muscle EufyLife keeps track of all the fat and weight rations I never knew I wanted.

Getting better

It functions, tracks, and exports to Apple Health correctly, and support was prompt.

However, the graphs still don't make a lot of sense. They are line graphs now but they don't scale by date - so even if you haven't weighed in a week, the graph distance will be the same. Seems counterintuitive.

As a result, I use other services to graph the data.

Not working after upgrade

I recently upgraded phone since old one die. Now, my history is gone and when I step on the scale the data doesn’t sync to app. Also, when I try to re-pair it crashes EufyLife

Before said issues, things were working perfectly and enjoy EufyLife very much. Hopefully, things get fixed soon, perhaps an iOS 15 update is needed

Lost Data

It seems like a recent app update deleted my history and trend data for my Smart Scale C1. Until that happened, I have been delighted with your product, but now am disappointed that all that information is gone.

I contacted you last week and the agent said I could fix the issue by deleting EufyLife and reconnecting to the scale, but despite several attempts, I was unable to recover the data. Please help! Thank you.

Almost perfect

I really like my scale and EufyLife , but the developers need to test with a large number of historical weights. Loading the weight history on my phone takes literally six seconds from when I tap the history button to when the history shows up. They should either bucket the history by month/year to cut down on the number of results they have to load, or stream in the history in a more efficient manner.

Works really well

I’ve used a few smart scales before, and they and their apps have not been reliable. But EufyLife and the smart scale are brilliant. It worked right out of the box, the scale paired quickly with EufyLife , and it works great.
