We had a great experience

I’m so sad to see that several people had bad experiences at a Amelia resort. We have been Amelia club members for many years and have never experienced the issues described in some of the other reviews. We have heard that there are differences in the service levels at some of the resorts. We have always stayed at their upper level resorts and have had fabulous service! We still correspond with some of the butlers we have had over the years and have returned to specific resorts for that reason. I encourage you to reach out to their main head quarters and tell them about your experience! We had one small issue several years ago and I called the corporate manager and they gave us a week free at a resort of our choosing.

App never Worked from day 1

Every employee at the hotel tells you to use Meliá . HOWEVER Meliá doesn’t work. You cant check itenerary for resort activities any where else but Meliá (that doesn’t work), you cant reserve to eat dinner, which is mandatory if you want to eat dinner, but Meliá does not work and all the guest are left arguing with the staff just to eat. It’s ridiculous. I dont get why they cant just post the activities on another platform or on a paper and tape it to the wall. Also why they make it mandatory to reserve to eat dinner but lunch and breakfast you just wait in line for your turn. by the way not 1 employee knows how to work Meliá but they just say check Meliá or you have to do it on Meliá -_- train your staff on how to use Meliá if you are forcing the guest to done Everything on it

Would never recommend

We first checked in and were told that the prices that we saw when we reserved our stay have changed. Almost doubling. Not only that the person checking is in said the new price change started today and it doesn’t matter if we booked our stay months ago and booked it with a previous price. Then our first day there was spent requesting maintenance for our room. Are sink didn’t work, safe didn’t work and our phone didn’t work. So we had to walk to the lobby since we couldn’t call. We were told several times (after walking back and forth from the lobby back to the room) that someone was coming to fix it. No one ever showed.... terrible, terrible, terrible. So much for relaxing and being taken care of on our honeymoon.

A piece of heaven

This was my 3rd time staying at melia resorts !! I luv it so much ! I don’t want to go anywhere else! My 1st stay was at paradisus Palma real my 2nd stay was at the reserve at Palma real Nd I just got back from paradisus punta Cana got upgraded to the reserve Nd then my 2nd week upgraded to the royal service !! It was an amazing 2weeks !! The people r wonderful The service was impeccable! Our waiter Julio was the best !! I can’t wait for next time (6 months) I always recommend this app resorts !! If it’s not this app it’s not a piece of heaven!!♥️

Our 50th Anniversary

50 years we so deserved the best. And we received the best. Could not have asked for more. The most beautiful accommodating resort we have stayed. We were so fortunate to have two of the best guys to guide us and become our friends. Alfredo and Alex. ❤️ they could not do enough for us and made our 50th Anniversary very special. Food delicious waiters the best. Could not have asked for more. Looking forward to our next vacation. Thank you ❤️

Worst app ever

One of the worst apps ever. Don’t bother downloading. The this app website is almost as bad. Customer support told me there is nothing they can do and this is and has been a problem for a long time. Pre-check in doesn’t work. Cannot update and save my personal information such as address, country of citizenship or travel documents. Received email advising I can pre-check in to get 1,000 bonus points and upgrade. Well I can’t pre-check in andI can’t get those amenities. Have not even arrived at my destination and this app is already a disappointment.

Just go to the lobby don’t download

Meliá is terrible. I booked dinner reservations early one morning laying by the beach. I thought to myself “this is awesome” well that’s where the awesome ended. App didn’t book appointment for me, I didn’t get to eat there and the staff couldn’t help. Decided against using it for booking, but the next day I told me several of the restaurants were closed all day (they weren’t). Doesn’t display full menu for room service. Completely useless, especially since staff members push Meliá and don’t care when it lies to you.

Won’t be returning to Meliá resorts

Honestly, the experience Meliá provides is so bad that I’m doubtful to ever return to a this app resort, given their heavy emphasis on using it. Slow to load any information, completely un-intuitive design, inability to leverage many hotel services from within it - oh, and it never actually worked at all for my spouse on the same trip, so she was wholly reliant on me to do anything. Meliá needs a ground-up redesign and re-write. Won’t be returning to a this app resort until they’ve done so.

What a joke!

The virtual concierge is always “unavailable” and Meliá keeps shutting down before I can even doing anything with it! For as much as a paid for this stay, they have enough money to invest in a decent app. Fail.

Can’t access features of app

To access features, Meliá requires the resort, your arrival/departure dates and name. Sounds simple, right? Except I accurately entered these fields and Meliá gives an error message that it can’t find your stay please try again later. Plus this app had my name all wrong on booking, so I tried that name, too. Nothing worked. Reviewing Meliá is like reviewing a room you can’t even enter. Doesn’t appear that Melia is serious about developing a functioning app.

WORTHLESS

Terrible. Doesn’t work at all. Only downloaded Meliá because their website is also garbage and crashes when I attempt to book a room. App crashes, stalls out and has error messages all over the place. Ruling Melia out of places we’ll be staying on our upcoming trip. Can’t imagine what the hotel is like if they can’t even get an app OR a website up function enough to allow guests to book rooms.

This app is useless

I wish I could give it a zero. We (tried) using Meliá on a recent vacation at Melia Caribe Beach and it worked for first day, that too it was very slow and information was easy to find. My family and friends traveling with us had same issues. I have used the same app in other Melia properties and it was a tad better. Melia fix your app.

Terrible

I haven’t even gotten to the resort and I can’t sign into Meliá !! It recognizes my email but when i put in forgot password says my email isn’t correct . So I try to redo all my info and says it already exists . It’s a vicious circle. I hope this isn’t what you use for dinner reservations! I’m going to be livid!!

Crashes within a second.

Meliá crashes within a second on my phone, my husbands and a friend’s phone. It worked a couple days ago and is very helpful and nice design when it works! We’ve all rebooted our phones and deleted and reinstalled Meliá without success. Hope this is fixed soon.

App doesn’t work

Useless app, especially for any services while at the hotel. Won’t recognize my stay, won’t keep me logged in, so I’m not able to view anything or request anything. Front desk staff were unable to assist, but said guests often have problems. I can view my reservation and some profile info-that’s it.

Train wreck of an app

Meliá isn’t functional. It’s not only buggy but it’s hard to navigate. I set it up during my stay but Meliá kept giving cryptic error messages and put me into an endless loop of re entering my login information and booking credentials. this app: please remove Meliá from Meliá Store until it’s re-written and works.

Doesn’t work

Even when logged in during a stay it does not appear to fully work. Not sure reservations actually went through. Can’t view anything on my agenda. Or else we have no agenda haha. Looking at restaurant menus seems to be only useful part of app.

One of the worst

I think Meliá was written in a prison camp. Here are the highlights: 1. Often doesn’t remember credentials. 2. Often cannot find current reservation (even after JUST viewing it). 3. They have the AUDACITY to invoke Captcha (googles pseudo bot checker). So, imagine traveling to a foreign country and can’t show the taxi driver your hotel address because the Captcha tiles are unreadable in daylight or there’s no enough connectivity to complete the Captcha handshake. IN WHAT WORLD DO BOTS MAKE International reservations?!?!? 4. Have needed to call the toll free reservation line because Meliá couldn’t complete credit card transactions.

Does not work

I enter al the information for my stay, it recognizes me as it has me pick the name staying in the room, but when I try to enter the hotel experience-ERROR! Very frustrating especially during COVID when everything has different hours and menus

I can’t complete by check in process because it just closes out. It asks me to update the guest information but then closes out of Meliá every time I try to do it. What is the point of having Meliá if you can’t use it?
