I click NewYorkComicCon2024 icon and it just opens to a bigger app logo and never opens NewYorkComicCon2024 .

NewYorkComicCon2024 crashes every time I try to open the schedule or the explore tabs. All I was able to load was the artist ally map, which is just an image with booth numbers. How do I see who is at each booth? Who knows! I wasn’t able to click around anywhere else on NewYorkComicCon2024 to find out.

I’ve never been able to use NewYorkComicCon2024 to comment on whether it’s helpful or not at the actual show. The whole place is such a dead zone that you’re lucky if you can even connect to their wifi.

Broken reservation system, broken links, spammy notifications that you can’t turn off without turning off the ones you actually need, apps just as phoned in as the convention

I just care about the panels which are no where to be found in this new app.

Does NewYorkComicCon2024 really not use iCloud? Good gods.

All the other reviews address the cons of using NewYorkComicCon2024 pretty well - it was much better designed in past years for optimal planning.

Something that hasn’t been mentioned is that after adding events from the schedule, NewYorkComicCon2024 bugs out and the entire schedule disappears! So annoying.

So NewYorkComicCon2024 has now twice: once yesterday at Javits and now today at home, bugs out and eats my schedule. Not only that, which would be annoying enough, but once it’s done that it also pretends that the entire schedule hasn’t been released yet, so it’s just a blank page. Especially fun in Javits North where I don’t get a signal to redownload NewYorkComicCon2024 .

I meticulously put together my schedule in the very useful feature. Woke this morning and all of the items are gone! In fact, none of the schedule is available... and the mobile browser version is terrible, so that's no good. Terrible timing for this to happen.

I agree 100% with Eóin , fix this crappy app! For 3 years I hoped it would get better but it’s staying the same and I hate it! Give a good GPS style show floor map! Stop worrying about frivolous crap! Give a good map with descriptions and maybe pictures. It’s hard enough to navigate the show floor with 100,000 plus people on it.

NewYorkComicCon2024 has sucked for years, I only download it when the convention is coming up and delete it after. This year, NewYorkComicCon2024 stopped showing events Thursday afternoon. The only purpose NewYorkComicCon2024 serves for me is to tell me of panels and times, so now it’s useless.

Where do I even begin. The most problematic is that NewYorkComicCon2024 automatically shuts down when I try looking up the schedule.

Previous years app seemed to work better and were easier to find information. Also, when you try to to make something on a map it crashes NewYorkComicCon2024 within 5 seconds.

I love going to NYCC each year, and I like the organizers. Buuuut... NewYorkComicCon2024 is rubbish. Too many unnecessary features, while the basics don't work. The core of NewYorkComicCon2024 should be the map, the schedule, and the favorites; the basic things that help me get around the show.
The schedule works.
The maps are tiny static images. I can't zoom in close enough to read the writing!
I saved a bunch of favorites on the website. When I successfully imported my schedule, the favorites didn't come with them. I could spend the extra time saving them each again in NewYorkComicCon2024 , but I'm not going to. And after I save them, they're just an alphabetical list. I can't filter or even sort by location! What I WANT is a Google-style map of the show floor with all my favorites on it. Each year, NewYorkComicCon2024 fails to deliver.
Developers: Stop focusing on frivolous extras like bluetooth-something-or-other and social nonsense, and focus on the core features. GIVE ME A GOOD MAP!

NewYorkComicCon2024 is absolutely terrible. It does not import from the website even though it claims it does. It won’t let you update your schedule manually and add events so there is no point in using it at all (an excel sheet works better). In addition to this the maps are small static images that you can barely read. It uses a ton of battery and your location but it can’t have a live map? The event is massive and a live map with a guide to the booth you want to go to would not be that hard and would be very very useful. Even a map that updates with your favorites would be great. I am extremely disappointed with NYCC on this one. This needs to be improved or even downloading it is not worth it. Waste of space and a waste of data. If I could give a 0 I would.

NewYorkComicCon2024 really doesn’t work and for an even so big you’d think they’d take a little time to make one that works. I can’t sync my schedule, it’s a week before the event and there are still entire sections on it with NO information or anything. It differs completely from your account on the computer and nothing matches up.

The second largest comic con some would argue and they can’t even get a team to make an app that works? Absolute laziness on the behalf of their creative team. NewYorkComicCon2024 is useless and you mine as well make your own list of exhibitors, artists, etc. that you want to see and go to on your own word document, print it out and go by that because NewYorkComicCon2024 is useless for all of that.

I need to find out where to go for today’s autograph since my ticket does not say which area. I downloaded NewYorkComicCon2024 and searched for autographs, no location is listed. I went to the maps section and it said coming soon. My session is in 45 minutes. Coming soon is not helping. I need detailed maps now!

It won’t let you log in with any of the several logins they make you create to be a part of their incredibly convoluted system. Instead it directs you to log in with FB. To access or change your reservations, you have to trigger an email through a web form that resets and kicks you out while you try to check your email.

6 (unsuccessful) tries later I’m here leaving a review to maybe save someone else some time and apologize to some other fan for taking up a reserved spot in a panel I cannot attend but also cannot cancel.

I found it okay.... the old app is user friendly at least more easier to use. Please find a better and fun way to make NewYorkComicCon2024 easier to use for all you attendees. Thank you. It was an amazing Comic Con.

It’s a good idea but NewYorkComicCon2024 doesn’t really work. It’s supposed to sync my schedule but it doesn’t. I have so many things missing from my schedule on NewYorkComicCon2024 that are on the schedule under My Show. Just a little disappointing.

The info is severely lacking so it’s not very helpful. If they wanted to it could surpass the program guide from the con because the info could be updated on the fly if necessary. But no, it’s worse. Way worse. Adding to your schedule was frustrating because it wouldn’t stick and you’d have to re-add it. I had THE worst time trying to find the Reed Pop merch booth because it was moved from where it usually is and NewYorkComicCon2024 only says it’s in the northern concourse. Gee thanks. Unless I hear it gets fixed I’m deleting it. It’s worthless.

I have removed and installed NewYorkComicCon2024 multiple times and I still cannot get the exhibitor list to appear. Updating and resetting the data has also done nothing. That list plus the map was going to be the focus of my app use during the con. I might as well leave it uninstalled and save a photo of the map and I’ll get more battery plus half of what I was looking for.

NewYorkComicCon2024 is always something I wish they’d spend more time on each year. There seems to be an issue every con. This time, if you remove an item from your schedule, it causes NewYorkComicCon2024 to crash. This only days before the convention is a bit of a pain. Please fix.

1 star for showing content and 1 star for working better than the website. Some key features one expects as a bare minimum of an event app are sorely missing though.

No default iOS share means one cannot share/copy links to panels (only can either post to facebook or send an email, neither of which are useful at this point). No way to map out favorites on calendar view. Filtering isn’t really thought through.

The bad: Where to start?

1)) Where is the Exhibitors section? It’s up on the web site but missing from NewYorkComicCon2024 .

2)) Last year I recall being able to add Exhibitors and Artist Alley folks to my Favorites, but there’s no option to do so this year. For me this is a HUGE downgrade as it makes planning much easier. Last year after visiting a favorite I would unfavorite them in NewYorkComicCon2024 to easily see what booths/tables I still needed to visit.

3)) NYCC is launching Writer’s Block this year but there’s no support for it in NewYorkComicCon2024 . For example, Panels & Events can only be filtered by room. I want to easily see only the literary panels but there’s no Categories filter. The Guests screen does have a Categories filter but guess what’s missing? Literary.

4)) NYCC has advertised signings for authors including Rachel Smythe and V.E. Schwab and I am guessing that like last year, the big name authors will require a reservation. However, no author signing are shown on the schedule, which makes it difficult out to plan in general and specifically what reservations I want to try for. I am not talking about author signings at publisher booths.

5)) When viewing the individual screens for guests, some show which panels and events they are scheduled to appear at, and others do not even though they are expected to participate in a panel. EFoe example, look at Ewan McGregor then look at V.E. Schwab.

6)) Where are the detailed schedules for photo ops and autographs? I purchased several photo ops but without the specific times I can’t plan which panels to attend or reservations to try for or add them to my schedule in NewYorkComicCon2024 .

7)) In previous years we could use FB to login into NewYorkComicCon2024 , which meant everything I favorites could be synced across devices, but there’s now no login of any kind.

The good:

The Timeline view is a nice addition to the Schedule section, since it allows you to view only your favorited panels and check whether any of them overlap. Organizing by room was a smart idea as well because depending on the room, it can be a long walk to get from your one panel to another.

Last year’s app allowed us to favorite artists and exhibitors, not just scheduled events. This was a great feature, as it enabled us to build a list of things we didn’t want to miss while at NYCC. Please bring this feature back!

comic con is, without fail, an absolute blast. i attend every year and i have so much fun !!! but their app is never good. the map function didn’t work. the events didn’t show up. there wasn’t really any point. kept giving me random notifications about things happening that weren’t even remotely interesting. all in all, not worth getting. still go to comic con though, you’ll have a great time! just skip downloading NewYorkComicCon2024 .

NewYorkComicCon2024 does what it's supposed to do while attending comic con. But the constant Bluetooth and beacon tracking, which pinpoints your exact location and walking pace for the event planners, rapidly drains the battery at little too fast over a 5 to 6 hour period with just minor phone checks. I attended from 11am to 6pm and my battery went down to 50% when it normally goes down about 20% during a regular workday. I do not recommend NewYorkComicCon2024 due because of the battery issue, and definitely recommend deleting it after your walk out door of the event.

App worked great when i went last year but NewYorkComicCon2024 should have constant upgrades and updates so that everyone has the latest info about the con and its guests and events.

Can I like or save exhibitors and artist alley. It’s much better then cross checking and making a list. If you’re gonna do NewYorkComicCon2024 go all out and allow me to use this only app for the whole day to track who I need to see in artist alley and which exhibitors to not forget. THERES SO MANY!!

Is NewYorkComicCon2024's developer working on a 2017 update? If so, that would be a great idea. All of the panels, guests, and whatnot were conveniently sorted. Reminders popped up when events were about to occur. I enjoyed being able to "favorite" panels, artists, and show floor booths I planned on seeing.

Simply amazing. 10x better than the old app. I love NewYorkComicCon2024 because of its quick response time, easy navigation, the UI isn't cluttered but what thing that seems to be back that was a problem in the previous app is the duplicate guest/exhibitor names. Why are they in more than one category? And when I add one from my favorite if I see that exhibitor or artist in another category it should automatically be ticked that's it's in my favorites already. Please bring the My Show Planner back. The customizable agendas were great.

NewYorkComicCon2024 must not have been finished when the others left their reviews. All panels and event schedules are included, and a map is coming soon. Scroll though the event list, mark the ones you want to see, and you end up with “My Schedule” that’s a focused view of all of your must-see stuff
