New York Daily News Reviews

NYDN’s app and webpage needs lots of work. It’s hard to understand why it’s so poorly done. The same article gets repeated 3,4, 5 times as you scroll through the top stories. Articles get carried for days on end with not enough fresh content. Photos are not framed properly as you scroll though top stories. The sports coverage has gone down the toilet. There very little original content or opinion. If anything important is happening locally, I look to other sources for up-to-date news coverage. That shouldn’t be.

I want NewYorkDailyNews to be good. Long ago I purchased the paper every day on my way to work, but I’m ready to accept a good app. I want excellent local coverage of the news, investigative stories, great columnists like much-missed Pete Hammil and Mike Lupica. I want daily, in-depth coverage of my favorite local sport teams. I’m not certain how much longer I will keep checking the NYDN online, hoping for improvement, before I give up.

This new update doesn’t allow you to swipe left after reading an article, you have to click the back button that brings you back to the top of the list of articles. You essentially lose your place and have to sift through all the article titles to read to get back to where you were. Whose idiotic idea was this?. Plus now that all these pics are huge now I have to scroll forever to see all the articles. Bigger pics mean longer downloads. And now I see doubles of the same articles, this has got to be a joke. Think before you do. Don’t put unfinished products or change somewhat functional ones just for the same of change.

Worse then then the National Inquirer, has always been bad but ever since the most recent update it’s basically the same 5 stories all day long under each section. Not only are the people who write the opinion pieces just short of mentally deficient but all they complain about is President Trump and perceived inequalities that the typical criminal class in NY Experience’s. Many times the opinions are also written as facts, which unfortunately happens just about everywhere these days but this news organization takes the cake. So now not only is the “News” unreadable, NewYorkDailyNews has become unusable and poorly written as well. Oh, and a side note. Never have I seen so many spelling mistakes in articles as on this papers site!!

You know, I even tried to subscribe. I guess some people (many?) have figured out how to do it. NewYorkDailyNews doesn’t seem to let me do it. I can’t be bothered. It’s too much trouble. I’ve been reading the News for 30+ years. I read it mostly for the sports coverage. Despite the constant typos and errors, it is the only regular source of local sports news that seems to work for me. But, you know what. F it. This is a bridge too far. I’ve just deleted NewYorkDailyNews for the last time. Maybe I’ll check back in a year or two and see if they’ve fixed it. For now, it’s too much trouble. Good riddance. I’ll use my10-20 minutes of daily news reading on something more productive. C-ya.

I don't like seeing an advertisement as your front page. I want to see the actual fro t page headlines. I canceled subscription previously due to this. I thought you corrected it. If it doesn’t change I will cancel again.

I have always loved the daily news , you have been my favorite for years . Always up on your current events congrats keep the great work up.

More often than not, when I select an article on my app, a message appears telling me I’ve reached my monthly limit. Nowhere does it say how many selections I get; and sometimes I haven’t been on NewYorkDailyNews for a week or more. Nor does it tell me how many I have remaining for that month. So, I go to other news apps. Love the News, but what’s up with that?

Love NewYorkDailyNews and the e paper. Interesting news from different perspectives. Entertaining and informative. Wondering why people on here complaining are not calling 911 and reporting that someone is holding a gun to their head forcing them to read it!

Please fix your format. Every time I exit an article it takes me to a different part of the todays news page than where I read the article. This skips you down the page requiring that I find my place on the page again. It makes reading the site annoying.

Great up to the minute news. Especially informative about local events.

Great source of information, Daily News is a must have app on your phone, that everyone should have.

I enjoy reading the news before others even know about the headline! Thanks to the staff of one of the country’s best news papers.

I have to read every other news app because I reached my limit jack offs

This is the REAL NYC paper, with down to earth news for the People, not the elite. I do read the NYT, but this is the paper that shows NYC as it is!

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. NewYorkDailyNews is confusing and not as user friendly as the previous one. Stories are repeated over and over, you can’t swipe anymore to or fro articles etc. I would advise that in the future you not release new versions until thoroughly perfect.

I have been a faithful user of the Daily News app for years. Its unfortunate that they have now decided to force users into paying for a subscription when it has been free all this time. There are a fair amount of ads and not to mention the refresh rate of some content is not that great. Unfortunately I will be deleting.

Read it daily for the news editorials and of course the sports.

After deleting NewYorkDailyNews. Im thinking about giving it another try as i see after the massive layoffs nydayli have slowly gone back to the middle instead of being a socialist far left newspaper bashing trump all day and being an arm for the radical left. Keep up the work much more to do must be a neutral newspaper
