Two weeks ago I was fairly happy with Artisto. The latest update went horribly wrong for me. Today on my iPad Pro I can’t get it to do anything. It opens with a black screen and those stupid mask icons at the bottom. Won’t let me open a photo. When I tap the photo I want I get a frozen black screen. Nothing to do but quit. I even re-downloaded it from Artisto Store with no luck. It still works on my older iPad so hopefully you can fix it for the iPad Pro. My other complaint is one I’ve had from the beginning... this app automatically crops my photo to a square and doesn’t allow me to even move my main subject to the center. I have no control over what portion of the picture is converted.

Of all the video effect apps I’ve tried, this one has the best artistic effects for videos. My only complaint is that it seems to only apply the effect to a square section around the center of the video, as opposed to the whole video. Not sure why. That’s a big let down, but the effects are nice. It also restrict you to 30 seconds , can only count integer seconds so if your last frames are in between seconds they get cut out of the clip. Also, there seems to be no way to get a hold of tech support. If you follow the link here it takes you to a website with no option other than to link you back to Artisto Store.

The initial package is great. I would like to see more filters options added over time. And easier access to the filters would be nice, instead of having to tap back all the time. Love the filters that are there now. My only disgust with Artisto is that they force you to pay $1.99 EVERY month to not have a watermark that says "this app" and shoot 30 sec video. Maybe come up with additional filters and charge for those. But to continually charge to remove watermark is totally bad form in my eyes. Great app otherwise!

It’s a fairly simple app to add some cool filter effects to photos, but I have two critical issues. First, as other have said, the monthly subscription required to remove the watermark is a bit ridiculous. Second, Artisto seems to force a square photo format with no way to change it. I composed my photo a certain way for a reason. I’ll crop it the way I want, thanks.
I like the filters, I’m not fond of Artisto overall.

It is fun, although 25 - 50% of filters aren’t very useful. It depends on the image what works best - I have a handful of favorites and then try something I haven’t liked and the image pops! It is easy to use but rather slow.
My biggest criticism is that it forces me to crop an image, even if I pinch it small to get it all in, which doesn’t work all the time, though. The titles of effects are worthless, “Audrey” - Wha?
I would say that it makes some head-turning images out of some so-so pics. I wonder what the Pro does besides remove the watermark? Maybe somebody will tell me it’s worth it.

Just started playing around with this and gotta admit it’s pretty cool!! I just started messing around with live camera filters to enhance my artwork and videos I create, just to give them a little something extra to help make them pop out. Especially because I use social media as a large promoting platform to help make myself a more know artist with others that enjoy and create strange art and music. So far I would recommend Artisto and who knows I may actually buy something in Artisto, I never do that with hardly any apps...👍

Just began “playing” with Artisto and initial assessment is positive. However, even as a novice with your app the lack of fluidity between functions is frustrating. But the results are wonderful so I consider the clumsiness of having to tap back and forth between screens to be a minor hiccup. Hopefully this function can be smoothed out in future. Thank you for making this artistic app available. Am loving the ability to enhance my photos. So much fun!

My title says it all. The filters are great but get repetitive. Paying a monthly fee to remove the watermark makes Artisto one of the biggest hustles on Artisto Store. Why 4 stars then? For new people it's great for a few days before you grow bored of it. So pay once, use it a ton for 30 days then ditch it! Photolab is a pan app with similar effects that has more variety and much better, flexible pricing options.

My hobby is editing photos (I'm a riot to hang around). I actually collect photo-editing programs and have around 200 different ones. As such, I have 10-15 favorites that are my "go-to" programs. This one is a member in good standing. Easy to use, excellent range of controls. There is an actual Minecraft filter which alone would make Artisto a worthwhile investment. Buy Artisto!! You will be happy you did.

I got Artisto a while ago and then I deleted it. I felt it was pretty cool, but I didn't have use for it, but now, since I got it back, I realized how great it was! Also it helped me get awesome picks of my dog right before we had to put her down😢, so now I can remember her even more, especially since the filters give off different types of emotions, from happy to sad which gives me the chance to remember her in every way. Artisto is awesome and I totally recommend it!

Artisto needs updates more often with additions. Why not four masks a month? Love it. I would gladly pay $10 a month for two, really high quality masks on here. If you raise the capital by showing me the state of your plan: then, thousands more will , and then sum. So, to whom ever wants to partner with the other relevant investor at this perfect opportunity --Could that be you -- It would be a relief and pleasure to compare notes.

I take hundreds of pics and I’m always looking for apps that offer creative editing tools. This one takes the cake! And I’ve shown others how to use it. It’s so simple even my senior students can use it for their art class studies! That’s not easy! They are mostly in their 70s.

To date I have not found any photo retouching apps where I liked the filters. Of course with photos there are many apps where you have a lot of manual options for retouching photos. I primarily use Aristo for the video filters. Very impressive, because I have not seen another filter that I consider usable for videos.

The special effects are great, but it is annoying to always have to connect to the Internet to use it. I know for a fact that each time we connect to the Internet, our devices become vulnerable to online, MALWARE attacks; and OUR PRIVACY IS AT RISK!!!
This is why I usually DELETE APPS THAT DON’T WORK WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION!

I think you guys have something going here. It is a real cool app. I would like the option to record horizontally.
I will buy the version that allows you to run longer segments and would love to be able to have editing options to create a video with multiple segments and some titles.
