I would like to know why iCSee accesses files saved on my iPhone?

I recent update makes it impossible for me to playback any video other than from April 23. New motion fails to record. Choosing any video causes the timeline to scroll back to the beginning of April 23. There is no preview in the timeline.
New UI changes are full of spelling mistakes, cut off words, etc. “Housekeeping” is apparently where motion detection “alarms” are set (the separate “alarms” button does nothing). But going there twice seems to turn off the alarm (if you assume that “open” means “on”, as it does in Chinese). I could continue to name problems, but there are just too many. iCSee has become more like an early alpha build than finished software.

This is a piece of junk! Just to start, click on the develop website link here in the store. It's nothing. Just like this product. Window dressing! Advertised IR & it's not.
Like everyone else, I had trouble connecting it. Then, I'm getting non-stop alarms when no one is there. Must be a setting is off but I've tried every permutation & can't get it to work. About all I can do is change the interval (the amount of time elapsed since the last bogus alarm!).
Finally, got the SD card in, formatted, & everything appears correct, but it doesn't take even a snapshot of the event (we've tested it & the thing doesn't seem to know the difference between it's bogus alarms & a real event!) Much less a video!!
iCSee has no explanation & when I asked for help, I was told it would require a book? Well, if it's that complicated, maybe someone should at least make some kind of effort!!
Finally, when I apparently asked for too much help (first, the man complained he missed the train since I contacted him so early. Well, excuse me; no one asked you to answer the inquiry right then!! Then, he insulted me by calling me stupid, saying if I weren't female, I'd understand how it works but even a "stupid" female knows you catch the train BEFORE you answer an inquiry! Duh!!
Bottom line: this must be a cheap knock off to the real thing. It just doesn't work. $30 paperweight taking up space on my phone!

So today is November 2019 and for the application there is nothing that is showing and then glitch where you could contact the developer of iCSee I’ve been trying to look around on iCSee in the store and it goes into other apps that the developer has there’s nothing about customer service where I can get help my application is showing Chinese last time I had to uninstall it and reinstall it two timesI thought this was fixed before I’m not going to keep uninstalling and reinstalling every time so a one star rating will stay on until the company decides to accommodate Customer Service on the application on the web store that’s a be easy when you open up the application on the play store and you want to contact the developer about iCSee issues should be a click away not a mission to figure out that something you press on developer goes to other apps with no help

iCSee is not the best at monitoring your security camera video. Video pan and tilt not very smooth. A recent update now gives a “this device configuration parsing error. This configuration may not be supported “ error when I try to set auto tracking which never happened before the update. Tried deleting and then reinstalling app after which I had to change my password in order to get app working again. Even after doing that, I still get the error message. I’m looking for a better app solution.

The interface is quite easy to use and getting the camera online isn’t bad either. The problem is everything there after. I don’t know if anyone else is having the same issue but my camera goes offline every single day! Offline and not viewable from my phone or tablet. I literally have to go outside and unplug the thing and plug it right back in for it to work again. I’ve emailed back and forth with the guys over there and even they just fell off one day and are no longer answering my emails. They gave me no answers as to why this might be happening. For a $40 camera the picture I get from it is also quite good so it’s very disappointing how terrible iCSee is because it makes the camera pretty much useless as a security device.

I’m using my iPhone in dark mode. Now I have to guess what the menus are because you can’t see the text. Also, I ought to be able to select exactly where I want to watch video from without it snapping to a time 45 minutes away from where I selected. The alarm isn’t exactly accurate, so I have to put the playback on 4x speed and stare at my phone for ten minutes to see the footage I want because of the snapping. I should be able to tap anywhere on the timeline and watch the footage. It’s annoying. Plus, iCSee crashes frequently, so if I’m trying to pull up a live feed say, when there might be an intruder, you have to hard crash iCSee and start it again just to do so. And that’s less than convenient for a “security” camera.

I’ve been trying to install iCSee for about 2 hours. Finally it connects and I go to register my camera with no serial number on the application says I am already registered. Tried new registration and it says it’s already used. Xxxxx. I don’t think so. Anyway with new passwords it says I can’t get in. Find password and it won’t take my phone number. I’m not exactly a hacker but I have no idea what to do now. Btw these instructions with my camera must need a electron microscope. I’ve downloaded deleted and downloaded now 3 times. Gee folks wow even all the nicknames are taken. Guess I need to increase my star rating to send. Gee again

I have this for my coffee stand, inside & out. I was really enjoying it (recommended to others) - worked well, notifications worked and showed which camera was tripped, high quality video of incident etc. After I installed the last update - this is the worst! Clumsy interface- notifications show- but it doesn’t identify which camera was tripped. Video is awful, seems to black out when there is a person that trips it- which is the whole reason to have this. Sure hope next update corrects these flaws so that this system will actually capture videos of intruders.

After 8 months and multiple 30+ attempts I got iCSee installed and camera working. The camera seems to be working, but it alerts on passing cars, moving shadows, and activity across the street. It does not alert on people within 30 yards of the camera. A gardener with a chainsaw walked toward the camera and trimmed hedges - NO ALARM, NO VIDEO. I walked in front of camera, although visible on live feed - NO ALARM and NO VIDEO. So now I question whether it is focused correctly or whether all those blank alarms actually had activity not recorded.

You can definitely tell that iCSee was made in China and just translated to English. Setting up was pretty easy and straightforward but I would like to know what some of the settings mean but there is NO support documentation or help documents. But you get what you pay for.. the camera that requires iCSee is low quality but it does what I need it to do and I didn’t have to spend a lot of money!

Works well for live video and two-way audio, but won't save to the microSD card; and if you attempt to format the card, iCSee crashes. So without past video, you can't see what happened earlier, only "now". Can't register with an ID, but it always starts up fine as a temporary user. All the other features seem to work ok... they're close to a great product for the price, but really need to get the memory card working and fix the logon ID so you don't have to reinitialize it after a power outage or whenever your router reboots. Customer support seems nonexistant.

This is great software. The only issue I have is the alarms don’t save properly. I have it set to capture photos and videos and you used to be able to click on “message” and see a video clip of the alarm and now it says there’s nothing there. You have to go into playback mode and fiddle with the timeline to see what set the alarm off. The other issue I have with the alarms are even in “low sensitivity” mode it goes off for every single rain drop, snow flake, etc... so if it starts raining you have to turn the alarm off otherwise the notifications will drive you insane.

Though here are a few minor flaws and a little bit of a rough setup if you try to do it without the instructions, but this is a great entry level camera system for remote viewing. Last update posed a little problem for me, but within 24 hours a fix was published and the system worked smoother than on my first setup. Not 5 stars due to the bugs and occasional errors, as well as the AP mode setup password not available in iCSee to run AP mode, but I would assume most users would be using iCSee over WiFi or internet anyway.

I think the prior bad reviews might be about earlier versions. I am amazed at how well this current (downloaded Sept 2019) version works. I did find one bug initially but it seems to have been corrected. If you have a really long Wi-Fi password you can’t get the installation to go forward. That’s fixed now. The performance, features and ease-of-use are truly amazing. The software developer deserves a lot of credit for the current version. I get reliable motion reports pushed to my iPhone, flawless onboard camera storage of photos and videos of motion events using a cheap 64 GB SD card, human shape detection which could be turned on or off, flexible alert boundaries which are very very easy to use and I can have the camera speak a custom alert in my own voice every time it detects motion. I can pan and tilt my camera just by running my finger across the displayed image on my iPhone. I hope they add motion tracking. Some other apps have this feature and it’s very cool. The camera actually moves to follow a person walking in the field of view.

This is my first camera app that I have used. I haven’t had many problems with it. I just wish when you moved the camera up or down it wouldn’t go so far. I wish it would move like it does to the left or right. I somehow was getting charged twice for the cloud but the company fixed and credited me with no problem. Thank you

I plugged device in to the wall in my kitchen using the charge port provided. I wanted to test it. I set up iCSee in my phone, connected it to WiFi and it was a simple process. I went to the device and rang the doorbell and I appeared on camera on my phone. I turned off the lights in my kitchen and night vision activated and I was very visible with a black and white video. Picture is clear. I tested the audio the device has a clear audio in app and on device. I just need to buy an sd card and batteries and hang it on my wall outside. I am pleased for the price this is a quality item.

It is little difficult to set up at first. There are some differences in translation. Once set up, it is a low cost alternative to expensive security systems.
I’m not a computer freak, but I was able to get through the set up through some trial and error.
It’s not a five thousand dollar security camera, so don’t expect that. It is actually better in some ways than an expensive camera system. It does all the same things, but not the huge price. Distance is not a friend to this.
Night vision is adequate. Ambient light affects this like an expensive system.
Overall I’m very pleased with this system.

Little hard to connect at first( found out I was not following the steps)then once it’s connected it worked good, at first I thought it’s a low quality App but the more I use it the more I learned about the other options like notifications etc... it’s like the bulb get used to your WIFI and now they work flawlessly, I can’t explain it, in general you have to be little technical to figure out the whole thing. I disliked the loud announcement that the bulb is connected to WIFI but now the cam just connect quietly once the it’s powered. My point is tinker with iCSee before you judge and make sure your phone is on 2.4G and don’t expect it to work with out putting little effort.

I've been using iCSee on ios 12 on a iPad Pro and iPad mini, and it works fine. But in spite of iCSee 's description it will not run on ios 9.3.5 which is newer than 9.0. I have 3 other iPads on 9.3.5 and iCSee will not work on any of them. You get the boot flash screen and then it quits and refuses to boot up (on all 3 ios 9 iPads). That’s the downside, but on the upside the this app-pro app works perfectly on all five of my iPads and iPad pros. So I recommend you upgrade to the this app Pro app. Happily, all of my logins were the same so using the pro app is a no brainer.

It’s April third and the new update is very bad. I use to get notifications in seconds before, now I have to turn on smart alarm everyday to get notifications, if you don’t turn it on you can’t get notifications. And you have to play back the whole day to see the videos. I wish they leave it the same way before. It was great

How hard would have been to hire someone fluent in written English??? A US 4th grader would flunk if his grammar and syntax were no better. So much for that stereotypic Asian intellect. Or business sense, cause a product that doesn’t work. Plus, most of the pic’s are way too small to see. Worthless again. Confusion about WiFi password - the password printed on my AT&T router didn’t work. No way to contact tech support so I am returning product and asking for refund. So sad.

I found only one way to send a message for support is thru feedback and good luck with getting a reply not to mention the camera that hooks up here to this application doesn’t have night vision and if if does you can’t find no support via email and worse thing of all no website when you get the find that it’s only an application download and again it’s a mystery camera company I don’t want to install these for customers it’s bad camera setup.. I’m gonna raffle these puppies off thanks for giving out trash cameras.

The updated version of iCSee is terrible! The alarm notices are in a bad list form and not as easy to view as the grid view from the previous version. It is now also requiring you to purchase cloud storage to watch the exact video clip from the alarm notice. Before it would pull up the alarm snapshot and give you the option to watch that clip stored on the SD card. Such a downgrade. Bring back the previous version!

All camera images are seen fine but when enter to the settings menu, no information is given. Only we can see the buttons, but no information about what you’re activating or deactivating. I tried to set the motion alarm, but no alarm is sent to my mobile. Please verify the iOS app version.

I use to be able to view my videos without iCloud but now this this app wants me to pay to see a video of things that happens on camera. I’m not going to do that after viewing for free all this time before the virus pandemic, I’m just going get a 5 piece security camera system and sell this one off. Thanks

Overall good but, with flash card inserted camera restart few times per night, also video transmission is get frozen. I have a three cameras and all of them have the same problem. Motion detection is working good.
I just changed to a new phone and forgot my log in credentiaos. I just need to reset them, but cannot get any help to do so. If I do not get help then I will take my cameras down and go to another company.
A little after a year 2 of my 4 cameras have gone offline. It will no longer read the QR code to establish the cameras. Customer support is useless. This is a icsee company software problem.
Just installed new micro sd card into outdoor bulb camera.....app showing no sd card detected
The camera would be a good thing if it didn't go off line every day, as you have to be home to delete current connection and re boot it., it's is not very good especially when your away that is the main reason l bought it.
When l login it say I am. Already registered and can't go further. Then I go in as visitor when I go out same story again please help
I getting tire I never ever can make my camera record just because icsee want me to force to pay for the cloud, every time that I want to check what ever happened at front of my house I can't they stopped my camera, during the day fixed many time and only stay for a seconds , I hope a good layer take actions again icsee because I'm not the only one who have problems with this garbish

I don’t know what y’all did but you told me to download an upgrade and now the whole formats different and it’s a piece of crap I go looking at review my SD card and it keeps going back to night time when I want to look at 2:40 PM and keep Sean 2:40 AM over and over. This is not worth the time it took to set up. The router is in my bedroom and the instructions read that the bulb had to be 3 ft. from the router. So much for that. It's too much hassle with this thing. Stick with Ring.
Every day my camera stop recording and icsee always recommend to pay for the cloud service I hope some day they stop messing with my camera

This system you employ is slow, directions to the camera are useless, the app needs serious work,to regain control after pressing the wrong part on the screen disallows and defies any logic on how to get back into vision. I am sorry I bought this damn camera

Εάν αρνηθείς επανειλημμένα , στους 12 μήνες περίπου αρχίζει καί εμφανίζονται προβλήματα στις κάμερες δυσλειτουργίες , διάκενα στα playbacks, αποσυνδέσεις, αλλαγή θέσης στην κεφαλή της ρομποτικής κάμερας, εμφανίζεται χαμηλό σημα wifi εικονικό, ΓΕΝΙΚΆ τεχνιτα προβλήματα,δημιουργοντας την εντύπωση στον χρήστη ότι η κάμερα έχει χαλάσει ! όμως είναι ΑΠΑΤΗ διότι αν διαγράψεις καί μεταφέρεις την κάμερα σε άλλο χώρο location, άλλο router, άλλο user name, και άλλο password, Μαγικά λύνονται όλα τα προβλήματα..!!!!!ΝΕΟΣ ΠΕΛΆΤΗΣ ΙΣΩΣ ΑΓΟΡΆΣΕΙ ΑΡΓΌΤΕΡΑ cloud!!!!
Been reading some reviews here and have no problems whatsoever with the app icsee or icseepro .I do think the complainers don't really know how the settings work . There's settings to pick up humans etc sensitivity settings where you can have high middle or low sensitivity set to the camera . Also with the SD cards they have to be set to fat 32 format to preform best . Also many many SD cards out there arefakes . Please don't blame the app as it's free after all .
Have 2 of these cameras& when they work they are wonderful but from time to time they ask you to log in then won’t accept username or password. This has happened so many times & again now so we’re without security. It’s just so frustrating & with us both in our 70’s we need them. Ready to smash them against the wall & go get something different that is reliable.
Heb 2 camera's aangesloten en zijn in de app zichtbaar , alle 2 het zelfde ingesteld . Maar krijg maar van een camera melding op mijn gsm . Van de2de krijg ik geen meldingen als iemand er loopt .heb in iedere camera een kaartje van 128gb zitten . Kan opnemen alleen als ik op video druk maar doe ik het hoesje van mijn gsm dicht stop de opnamen en vind ik ook op het kaartje niks terug . Als ik op video druk voor opnamen moet ik als ik wil stoppen moet ik weer op het video drukken en opslaan doormiddel van delen via bv mail of wattsapp . Snap er niks meer van . Hoop dat ik via jullie meer informatie kan krijgen .
I have the birdhouse camera. I have troubleshooted: Turned off cellular and Bluetooth Tried adding camera to WiFi Wifi is working and camera is right next to WiFi, no walls I’ve pointed camera at qr code Repeated 10 times. Also pulled wire and unplugged to reset. Also uninstalled and reinstalled app Still not working and connected to WiFi
I have installed the camera which works fine in human shape detection mode but as soon as I select auto track the camera swings round and faces the wall or ground for no apparent reason???
I've tried to get customer service to help with camera I'm no longer able to talk through speaker or have alarm go of to warn area is being monitored. I've attempted 3 times on feedback to get help with this and it's a great camera and don't know how to cancel subscription on the app and not seeing how to do so. I'll have to get ahold of PayPal and cancel that way until I'm able to have a customer service member help with this issue on what I can do bcuz over all its a very good security camera but bad customer service. Also I don't like that when you go back to check when I get notifications and go back to look back at it it crashes and or takes way too long to see what set the alarm off that isn't working on the ither end to warn intruders or even speak to anyone please get back with this would be greatly appreciated.
Hello I have 3 cameras whose app is icsee The app was installed on the galaxy A70 (Android) device After installing the three of them, the app allows me to connect to only one of them, while for the other 2 cameras it asks for a username and password to connect. For the other 2 cameras the app does not allow you to type the password in the password control. The password control is locked for editing. How do you arrange the issue? I attach a picture of the cameras + an attempt to enter a login password. * I also have a tablet (Android) in which I also installed the application and in this tablet it does allow me to enter a password in the password control. In other words, the situation is normal on the tablet and the cellphone is not working properly. Please help Thanks Yosi
Application nulle, a éviter. Configuration Initiale compliquée car l'enregistrement du produit fonctionne quand il veut bien. Blocage de l'application régulier indiquant un accès non autorisé en dehors des heures ? Tjrs pas compris et je suis loin d'être le seul. Support inexistant, pas de réponse Impossible de supprimer des enregistrements vidéo, ou du moins tjrs pas trouvé ? Sur SD card je précise. Bref, pour un produit censé gérer de la sécurité, pas terrible. A éviter à mon sens.
No more option to slect sd card for storage. The only way you could playback a video is if you purchase their cloud service which is very costly. Its even expensive with Apple’s for ios users.
Utter junk. I have had the camera 2 weeks, and I'm still trying to get it to work consistently. On the rare occasion I have got a picture out of it, the picture has been good, but that is rare. The programme seems to crash of it's own accord, leaving me to shut the whole shooting match down and start again from scratch. ---- NOT IMPRESSED.
My dad installed this app and the app went into my phone to, which is normal because if he installs something then it goes into my phone to, so I checked it out. I didn’t need it so i was about to delete it and when I was about to, I saw a screenshot I took, and two pictures of me in online class. Im not sure if anyone can understand this because I can’t describe it, but I'm scared. I deleted the screenshot, and the picture of me in online class was on a completely different device. How did they get those pictures? If this is normal, someone please explain this to me.
