DTA Connect Reviews

Update: Recent update not only didnt add anything new or security for log in, but it downgraded DTAConnect . It use to work in landscape mode on ipad and now it doesnt, and the layout is bigger and bulkier, it looks like one of those old apps now. I dont understand why anyone would downgrade app features like this. Please fix it and please add security pin for log in as mentioned below.

Prev review: I really do love DTAConnect, it works great and makes things so much easier, my only concern and its becoming a big one is how unsecure the log in is, it only needs your social and birth year wich in my case my ex husband knows both and he and his girlfriend log on and see all my personal info, letters sent, ect....
I really cant believe they dont let you set up a pin or password for DTAConnect. There is no way to safegaurd your privacy because the only 2 things you need to log in are things that can not be changed. They need to add a password or pin to make this secure.
That is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review to me. I have not had any of the other issues others have mentioned.
Thankyou and please please consider adding a password to the log in! It is very important.

I had no problem with it up until yesterday.i e been using DTAConnect for a year with no issues. Now I can’t log in. Yesterday It said my info didn’t match any cases with the DTA. Now I’m getting a message saying server could not process my request. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3x to no avail. Please fix. Super frustrating!!!

A while back I opened DTAConnect to check my status for SNAP benefits and when I opened it DTAConnect logged me into someone else’s account. My main concern is privacy , I was logged into someone else’s account without doing anything , lots of important documents are uploaded to DTAConnect including social security numbers ,addresses, bills and other things . This is insanely unsafe considering that DTAConnect just LOGGED me in to someone else’s account , it makes me question how safe my information is on here .

Not accurate , I have called the actual card number and the number it told me I’ve had was off by 200$ never had an issue with DTAConnect until a couple months ago and what they tell you is the available amount is incorrect even waiting a couple days after wards it does change but it is till incorrect information . You have better luck calling the number on the back of the card or looking at receipts for your available balance . Very disappointed in DTAConnect that should be accurate.

Serious Security risk using Social Security number and Date of Birth for login. If someone obtains that information they can sign in and view not only your information but other family members information as well. Not sure how this was allowed to begin with. Not like can close the account cause anyone with your SSN and DOB can sign in and view. Should be a password for sign in. Serious violation of Privacy as well. No other government online or mobile have you sign in this way. Please update for password sign in instead of SSN and DOB.

I can’t even get logged in. When I put in my SS# and DOB it keeps saying “device not authorized”. Not sure what that’s about. It’s an app and it’s available on the platform for download. I thought it was because my case was still pending, but once I got approved, I still can’t use it. I deleted it and re-downloaded it and I still can’t get logged in. I’m not sure where the issue is, but if I have to call and get permission to use DTAConnect then that’s madness because the personal info that’s requested should link up to my account. Oh well! I’ll try calling again and if the hold time is ridiculous, then I’ll just delete DTAConnect . I can log in online, but not DTAConnect . 💁🏽‍♀️

Your login is simply your ss# and your date of birth … how is that secure?! Not only does that compromise my personal information but that of my children as well. As a single mother, I also don’t want my ex-husband having access to my login … which of course he does considering my ss# is on all of our old tax returns. PLEASE require a PIN or password for access to such sensitive information!

I’ve been using DTAConnect for about a year and it’s been great! Saved me lots of time trying to find fax machines or driving the the DTA office. Now it is not working giving me wrong information. There is no technical support and DTA doesn’t know anything about how to fix it? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but doesn’t work???

I jus got so much trouble since the update of DTAConnect, it’s crazy stupid login in errors and it must be vertically viewed now what is worse called on phone was on hold 45mins a live person picks up says hold on please as she disconnects my call and now office is closed! Mailed my resort to Chelsea DTA 2weeks latter p.o. stamped not accepted! Re mailed to Taunton DTA 2 was latter still got nothing! Uploaded as it states not too do! Jus how messed up is the state of MA ? People count on the workings of our state this is very upsetting for needy folks and I feel so sorry that many are worse off than we know of!

DTAConnect keeps crashing when I want to do actual important work like read notices sent to me or submit paperwork through DTAConnect . All I can do is check my balance and move on with my day.

DTAConnect is helpful but I have a huge privacy concern. My information can be accessed by anyone who has my social security number and my year of birth. The other day I went to report an income change and my district landlord (Springfield Housing Authority) showed me a letter that my case worker sent ME! Why is this even possible. It’s an invasion of privacy on their end. please do a pin or a password like the online DTA connect has.

Usually I have no issues logging in but sometimes there will be an authentication error randomly even though I have the correct information typed. Even if I close DTAConnect and go back to it I still have issues. Would be nice if DTAConnect worked when I need it.

When I went to the grocery store I checked my receipt and found out I had a lot more on my EBT card than what DTAConnect said. I also noticed that I had log in issues. Usually the error message “cannot connect to server” I give DTAConnect 3 stars, because I have no problems uploading documents.

I’ve been using DTAConnect since the pandemic started and have had no issues. I go on and try to see what my balance is but it continues to tell me that my birth year and social are wrong. It’s not a mistake I’m making. I called the help desk. It’s fine there. It’s something with DTAConnect

I don’t know why my internet connection is wonderful

I love the process on the website, but been waiting a month for an EBT card. I’m sure due to Covid19 things are behind but it be nice to get a voice to help with this issues

I’m giving this a 4 star because I’ve never really had a problem with DTAConnect , I’m super glad I don’t have to go into the actual office and be there for so many hours, and get all my things done , just upload pictures and bam it does it for me but sometimes it doesn’t work and it’s frustrating but I really love DTAConnect !

I enjoy DTAConnect because it allows me to keep track of my card and balance. But today I’m having trouble, can anyone explain why..

Not sure why DTAConnect has been giving other folks problems. I downloaded it, took pictures for the upcoming certification and 2 days later everything was processed and done. I like that it’s super easy and gives me the current status of my case so I’m not waiting around wondering if they have received my stuff or not. Definitely my go-to method for submitting forms in the future.

So, there tends to be a stigma about most (if not all tools) made by the federal government.

However, to my surprise app works well and has never given me any issues. On top of that, it’s well-designed from a UX point of view. Kudos to DTA!

No longer able to see my balance after update. Buggy and crashes

Only problem I don’t like about DTAConnect is you can’t see or share the activity just says there’s an error with our server

I use DTAConnect all the time but most of the time it’s not working and half the time I try to log in it says error can you guys fix that please it will say error and that the problem is my internet but it’s not plz fix

Worked for a month, then it started glitching. If my balance was $200, DTAConnect would say I had $0. Called customer service and they said they could t do anything. Just have to call the old fashioned way for balance. Very annoying.

I can’t see any information on the new updates. When clicking on a notice it usually says “could not retrieve information from the server”. It’s driving me crazy. I can see certain things, but if it’s a notice sent to multiple people, I can’t read it. Please fix.

Stopped to work and now is just showing “ Error processing your information. Please contact DTA “ I called the DTA office and nothing changed. I downloaded DTAConnect 3 times and still shows the same message.
