Frustrating to use in touch mode, with a keyboard, or with a mouse

I am forced to use Parallels Client to connect to an EMR remotely (Windows app). The “features” (lack thereof) in ParallelsClient make that very difficult.
It loses the connection to the Bluetooth keyboard (Brydge) I use on my iPad, if I switch to another app and return to Client (even if I do it right away), or if the keyboard remains unused for a short amount of time (minutes at most). I have to turn the keyboard off and back on to make it work again. It’s random, so I don’t know when I have to do that until typing just doesn’t work.

It also easily loses connection with my Bluetooth mouse, and I purchased that specifically because only 1 kind (Swiftpoint) works with Client.

That’s bad enough, but the touch mode for the mouse does not work for certain buttons or scrolling within the Windows app that is running in Client. I think it used to, before the update 2 months ago. It only works if I switch it to “Dumbo” mouse mode, but that is extremely inefficient for a touch interface (to use all of the time or to keep switching mouse modes).

I wish I had another option to connect to my EMR - this is that bad. Using a Windows app remotely on an iPad is tough enough, but Client is actually getting in the way and making it even worse.

It stinks.

I’ve used this service since 2001 and now I can only open it on my computer. As I use my iPad and Samsung phone for several updates a day, it is beyond frustrating. When I contacted Telechart, they just sent three pages of instructions which didn’t work either.
My Samsung phone was ok, just more difficult to get into my charts until recently, now charts are gone. It would be nice to get an IN PERSON VISIT with an expert to fix this not just an email print out..
I, along with too many others, have paid way too much to have an update that is total frustration.
Have praised it many years, but not now.
"Legacy" is the download stopper every time.

Farewell Parallels

I’ve used Parallels for my iPad for over a year, it used to work just fine. However about 6 weeks ago the keyboard will no longer pop up. I enabled the ´always pop up ´ feature in settings - no success. I deleted both Parallels and ParallelsClient I use it with, reloaded - no success. Parallels is severly cripled without the ability to use the on screen keyboard. I can no longer recommend this product. If your app has an iPad extension that requires Parallels, move on to another solution, Parallels is essentially dead on the iPad. And if you are wondering, yes all my apps are updated automatically.

Good app, small issue

I like the newer feel of ParallelsClient versus the old 2X app. The only issue I have is in an RDP session on the iPhone 7+ when I bring up the keyboard doesn’t show a question mark key. The key is actually in the shift-numbers but it is represented by a back-slash even though pressing it gives a question mark. Please fix.

Great RDP Product!

I have used Parallels Client for years - a very solid and reliable RDP client.

I would like to see a feature like “folders” added to the Connections screen to allow grouping of individual connections.

Doesn’t work

Just downloaded to my iPad. Tried importing legacy settings and app crashed. Tried multiple times, rebooted, etc. to no avail. Tried to manually setup a connection and couldn’t get it to work. Verified that I good ping the target and that ports were not being blocked by the firewall on the target PC.

App needs better troubleshooting support. Two hours in and I’m done.

Works OK - Missing Gestures

ParallelsClient works OK and introduces some nice features but it lacks support for custom gestures that are found in the legacy version of ParallelsClient . The gestures can really help bridge the gap between mobile and legacy applications by allowing the user to trigger actions and keys using a gesture.

Bad with iPad

This product is so much worse that Parallels 2x legacy. If you have an add on key board to your iPad, don’t even bother downloading this, as an additional keyboard will come on the screen and block half the screen.

App works….

It works, but for some reason is extremely laggy for me. I have never had this process and have an extremely powerful device. Awful experience, going to have to find a new charting software and cut out tc2000

Terrible

Absolutely horrible DO NOT USE, it is defiantly not user friendly and works like absolute garbage without a wireless keyboard rich at that point you might as well just use this on a laptop or computer. Do not waste your time with ParallelsClient!!

Terrible new update

I have used TC2000 with great results for over 25 years. What led the developers to come up with this atrocious version is beyond me. Why mess with something that wasn’t broken to begin with? Please restore the previous version...

Keyboard issues

Can y’all add an always on keyboard option? Disabling the automatic option still closes the keyboard.

By

Thought this might work...

But, intro page asks for a connection but provides ZERO information on what connection to use. Is this my WiFi connection? No help, no way to contact.
Sorry, but this is (literally) a non-starter.

This app still needs a lot of work.

People need to use this to be productive, so make it work better for people that use it with iPad Pro, keyboard, trackpad/mouse.

July & August Updates BROKEN

The special keyboard keys do not work at all after updating to either of the 2 most recent versions. The only solution so far is downgrading to the Legacy app.

Terrible app for iPhone

Loved the old TC2000 version. This new version is terrible and useless. I just canceled subscription.
