I use Resilio Sync for personal use, keeping a photo library updated and synchronized between my PC and phone. Since I update the library very often, and because it had many nested folders, Resilio was perfect for me.
However, the last update has removed the option to sort by recent files. I’ve tried to live with it since then, but it adds far too much inconvenience. If “sort by recent” could be added back, ResilioSync would return to be one of my top recommendations to friends, even the premium version.

My main complaint is that it has significant lag especially whenever quickly trying to send files between iOS and computer (Linux), on the same network.
It sometimes takes minutes just to push a change or new file. I usually resort to deleting and moving files on both my computer and iOS in attempt to kick things into motion.
Please work on this, looking for airdrop speeds.

File works well. Creative outside-the-box solution that works well.
Few undocumented caveats:
Biggest issue - Resilo Sync appears to keep a local copy of every single file you transfer. This quickly hog up massive amounts of space on your device, critical when working on an iOS device in particular. This is also pretty hidden. No way to see what is going on, ripped off only by viewing settings storage on an iOS device. Resilio Sync is aware and there is a cryptic voodoo way to assist getting back file space. This feature really needs to be front and center. Make it easy to understand and manage. Storage is still so limited for iOS devices.
Second - this uses a BitTorrent protocol. I love it because of this feature, yet your isp, VPN or other available services may discourage or outright block such traffic. App will be dead in the water of blocked.
Wish list -
1) way to regain storage for files no longer needed.
2) confirmation a file has been fully synced
3) better integration with iOS sharing - still so many taps for each and every share.

Resilio does a great job syncing, and no other apps are really able to automatically selectively sync a set of files without leaving your LAN. But ResilioSync is in serious need of some updates. On iPad there is no support for multitasking like split view or slide over, which makes interactions much more cumbersome. And the File provider is very limited, as it cannot be used to view nor download unsynced files; you must leave your app and switch to Resilio first.
If Resilio got some love and an update, this would be a much more useful app today!

ResilioSync is a great high speed way to sync files to/from a home PC. I use it for camera backup and now also downloading videos from my PC to my Phone. All at Wi-Fi speeds in the house, but also works remotely. One star taken off because the syncing engine gets confused and usually tells me there a number of files left to sync and never completes. I don’t think it’s real. All files backed up.

Previous version was better. We were able to look at the pics back to back. Now, we have to go one by one to quick view. Not very nice. Interface similiar to iphone photo app would be much better, to look at the pic back to back. When adding photos to folders , select all option would be better too. Slide show can be also good. Automatic syncing would be good too, instead of touching each file one by one. That’s my opinion. Good luck.

I’ve been using Resilio since it was still BitTorrent Sync. It remains the best file sync tool out there. The reliability is always there, my files are stored safely on my own devices, no cloud involved. The speed is never a limit.
The one downfall is it’s not open source. If you can get past that and believe your files are truly secure then you won’t be disappointed.

The mobile app was a deal breaker. It’s pretty well done, attention to a great many details such as icons for unsynced file types that match what they are- even .sh files. The only issue i have is the strange way it sorts directories. I think it’s chronological by add date. Needs to be alphabetical or at least up for user choice. Aside from this, it’s not some beta thing, it’s a professionally made application.

First off I need to say that I love this program. P2P is an underrated technology and this really puts your devices into your own hands. All the same Ive been using this program for about six years and it's still not quite there. It's a little tricky for newcomers who I recruit into using it.
Most importantly it doesn't bypass the internet for file transfers, when two devices are on the same local area network. This SEVERELY throttle transfer rates, it should easily be in the mbps range and instead I get a few hundred kbps.

Meets my needs well enough. “Personal cloud” including geographical distributions. I haven’t tested the edges of the service yet, however; I’m not sure how it handles divergent file changes, for example.
I like that it was incredibly easy to get going on my NAS, iPhone, and multiple computers, and that it works on the local network without being connected to the Internet. I also like the authentication model.
The only really disappointingly missing feature for me is the inability to flip through pictures/videos from within ResilioSync . If that were included, this would replace a whole category for me; as it is, I’m going to need to come up with a secondary solution for photo/video.

When my previous solution for keeping critical files synced between computers stopped being supported, I tried a lot of alternatives. Resilio Sync is by far the best solution, provided the devices you want to sync are on at the same time. They have apps for some NAS platforms, too, so now I have my own private cloud.
The iOS app loses a star because it can’t do alphabetical sort: separating out folders should be a configurable option, not a requirement. It’s a real pain to have to check 2 different locations in a sorted list of several hundred items just because I don’t know if it’s a single file or a group of files in a folder. The whole point of an alphabetical sort is to alphabetize things so I can find them by name. If I wanted to sort by kind, I’d sort by kind.

Fantastic, however I find it annoying that there isn’t even an option to turn on autoplay for all audio files in a folder because I was drawn to Resilio after reading the “Sync Music” usecases page on their website. I understand why autoplaying files might not be the default option, but it is very annoying to have to manually go to the next song or audiobook chapter when I am busy. Otherwise it’s easy to use and I love it.

Lightning fast when sharing large files with different devices on the same network. Great for getting files shared between Windows/Apple/Android devices. It has a learning curve; if you don’t know what you’re doing it’s easy to screw things up. But after two years of using this extensively I can say confidently that, while not perfect, it’s easily the best service of its kind on the market.
I dock half a star due to the steep learning curve that makes this service a daunting task for newbies and still a stiff joint for advanced users. I also dock half a star until the service becomes next-level about finding the most direct route to devices on different networks. It’s pretty good now, but I still have devices that are having trouble connecting directly despite my firewalls and router being configured properly. At the very least, better, video tutorials would achieve this star.

Best way to sync files between devices. Once setup (setup? What setup?), Just put stuff in it and all device have a copy. For example, I have a folder on my PC called Mobile. In it I have sub folder called Travel. In it I have sub folder call 2017 China trip. I put stuff such as itinery, hotel reservation, etc in the folder and all files will be synced to my wife's phone, my phone and my PC. Can't be any easier.

Our team has used this for years and it has been invaluable to keep our files in sync for our various projects. Especially valuable now while we are working remotely. Use it daily for collaboration and file sharing, photos, etc. Extremely helpful tool!

Perfect app, simple, straight to the point, literally lets me get my own person cloud storage to share videos with friends and they can add their own! You can set permissions and everything, all u need is a computer and storage. I’ve been looking for this for years. No more struggling with FTP internet issues....

I love using this because of privacy reasons but it does have a flaw. It Will sync files like most cloud services but ResilioSync must be open and on in order for the files to sync on that device. For example my notes on my iPad saved on sync and I had to have the sync app opened on iPad in order for it to be seen and synced on my phone’s sync app. Once a file is synced it’s there though so it’s not too much to complain about but for those who want instant sync this won’t do it unless the sync apps are opened on all devices. This is mainly because the files are not placed in a random cloud server. Besides that it does what it is supposed to do.

I’ve been using this program for about a year now. It does everything that it says it will do. I have it running on 6 devices and with all the traveling that we do it is so nice to be able to keep everyone and everything in sync so we can keep our business running smoothly.

• Selective Sync lets you save only the files you need.
• Transfer files directly and fast using peer-to-peer technology (p2p).
• Sync will back up photos and videos as soon as you take them.
• Sync as much data as you have on your hard drives.
• Your information is never stored on servers in the cloud, so nobody can access it without your permission.
