(Read all the way through ) My first experience using Honckr was amazing. I leased a car in Jan 2019 so when I needed to lease a car for my wife this summer I thought if Honckr first. We had a terrible experience this time around. The company and product changed. This time I clicked the order button. I get a call saying they are going to be working with a different dealer but everything is fine. The weekend goes by. I sell our old car. Monday
I call numerous times for an update. I find out that the actual price of the car is $50 more per month. They ask me if I wold take a different color. I said yes. Still not available at the price. They start blaming an algorithm or technical issue. It might be half true but if they called me and told me that when I placed the order we wouldn’t be that upset. Honckr was not willing to stand by their product. They made no effort to try to make it right. It’s the old bait and switch that you get from a local dealer when the point of this app is to be the opposite. So disappointing! The product used to be great now they get you to agree to a lease price. You think you’re getting the car then they shop it out to a dealer. If they don’t get the deal sold you’re out of luck. I no longer recommend this app. If you make a mistake own up to it and at least try to make it right for the customer.

I loved looking at the different deals and comparing cars.
I only wish you could search on more fields. It was important to me to get Adaptive Cruise Control. It could be hard to find. With most it was under “convenience features” but with Keep it was only in the packages.
I ended up with a Lexus ES300h which I love, about $250/month less than my previous lease and, about the same price as the Honda CR-V I was looking at. And I love the Adaptive Cruise Control.
There were a couple blips. The first two cars I selected turned out to be unavailable. Honcker gave me $300 for my trouble. The price was higher by $21/mo because I checked the “Veteran” box but the military discount was only for active duty and Retirees within the last year. My husband was retired at 19 out of Vietnam with a Purple Heart but didn’t qualify. We modified our profile, for next time, to delete Veteran status so it’s not affecting the quotes. And, I selected “Deliver” my car but I had to pick it up—69 miles away, 1.5 hours there and 3 hours back. California traffic!
But I have a car I love, $0 down, about 1% lease payment, 36 months, 12k/yr. and it’s a car I love.

This app was absolutely amazing. I was concerned since my lease was up during this quarantine and I wasn’t able to get to a dealer. I gave Rodo a shot. The app is extremely clear and easy to use. You can shop around and get prices on a huge inventory of vehicles without any hassle. I loved that you could adjust the down payments to see what monthly prices were possible or not. You can also make offers of your own and see if the dealer accepts them. The responses were prompt and clear.
The best part of my experience, that I was most impressed with, was when I called to speak with someone and was put in contact with Steven Lowe. He was absolutely amazing. He advocated for me with dealers to get me the price I wanted. He was knowledgeable, used all his resources, and searched multiple dealerships until he got what I wanted. He contacted me every single day to see how I was feeling and what I was thinking about the offers and how I wanted to proceed. Once the deal was made, he was extremely thorough in following through with all of the details with paperwork and returning my old lease. He guided me every step of the way. He had no connection whatsoever to my old lease but still cared and made sure I got it back safely and with as little charges as possible. I was so impressed with his care and concern. He is kind, honest, and capable. I will be coming back to him with all my cars in the future.
