Today I paid to upgrade BorderTraffic and see all the cameras. On my first attempt to write my email and password it blocked me saying I tried to many times. I can’t access BorderTraffic and sent multiple emails asking for help and no answer

They want people to subscribe but you can’t do it using the Appstore. They want you to pay with either a credit/debit card or PayPal. I would had subscribed if I could had subscribed through Apple like you can with other apps. Too bad! Another very dumb thing, if you buy an anual subscription a friend gets a subscription free. Well, I have no friends who care for BorderTraffic since they don’t cross the border. A better option to offer would be to get two years for the price of one. Is the same as giving someone a free year. As for any other function, I can’t commend since I can’t use them because everything requires a subscription. I can say that their app looks cheaply made. The graphics and everything else are very poor in quality and menus not too well thought out. Good idea but poor execution.

BorderTraffic works sometimes. The times aren’t available till 4am, four cameras have been out for 3 weeks, and now, 3 more are out on Otay lanes only. What is the point in being forced to pay for an app the barely works and it’s convenient?

Used BorderTraffic for past year worked great now last several times it’s waay off. Told me 58 minutes and lines actually 3+ hours last several times I’ve used it. Not sure what happened to BorderTraffic.

All I did was restore/update my device and now BorderTraffic won’t let me login. I’ve tried resetting my password and it still won’t let me login. I am only using this on one device. I’m not sure what the developer requires. Do you have to reset my account just so that when I reset my password login works again?

I was just about to purchase a subscription when I realized BorderTraffic won’t even let me see the border crossing I need to see. It’s stuck on San Ysidro crossing when I need to see the Calexico crossing, very disappointed.

I liked it because it was the only app I could actually view the camera, I decided to try to upgrade and it won’t allow me to register and the login screen will not go away, which disrupts the function of BorderTraffic ! I even tried deleting and reinstalling and it won’t go away! Terrible! Looking for another app now..

I use BorderTraffic all the time and overall it’s pretty good. Recently I logged out on accident but when I tried to log back in my account was locked because of “to many failed attempts” even though all my login info was correct. I tried to contact customer service and was sent to a page where you put your info in and they will email you to help but I haven’t gotten an actual response, instead I get an email in my spam folder saying my request was “unable to be delivered” yet they have no problem emailing me every month when it’s time to charge for the premium plan.

About a week ago, there was an update to BorderTraffic . Now it keeps on crashing while in Mexico if not connected to WiFi.
Before the update, BorderTraffic was very reliable.
Pros:inexpensive, lots of cameras/angles, and automatic notifications available.
Cons: crashes, all cámaras update every 10-15 minutes only, pedestrian camera angles are poor, and it only provides information to two border crossing.

BorderTraffic is good if you only look at the cameras. Their crossing time estimates for the Sentri lane are pretty far off 50% if the time. I’ve emailed them with pictures and screen shots and they replied with something about the analytics data changes and blah blah and maybe I didn’t look at it right.

BorderTraffic description did not make clear that it is limited to a single border crossing in San Diego/Tijuana. Don’t waste your time if you use a different border crossing (much less the Canadian border).

I’m giving BorderTraffic three stars only because it may be valuable for users of that west-coast crossing.

I’ve been a yearly subscriber of BorderTraffic for a number of years and the times I’ve had issues with BorderTraffic , I never receive a response to any of the emails sent.

I’ve tried deleting and reloading BorderTraffic and it continues to freeze. It’s a great app when it wants to work. Great with the cameras but at times of need, it seems to crash or freeze. Better support would be nice.

BorderTraffic is okay. Would be great if it didnt have a 60 view daily limit. Sometimes I check several cameras from both borders throughout the day and use up my 60 views.

Great app!! It is mostly accurate of-course nothing is perfect. I’d say it needs better angles but it definitely helps my family and I! I use it when coming into Mexico around rush hour and when leaving. I have sentri so this helps a lot! Sometimes sentri is backed up but the ready lane isn’t so I’ll opt for the ready lane! If possible better angles on the cameras for pedestrian, ready and Sentri lane please! CBPs times aren’t accurate BorderTraffic does the job!

We use BorderTraffic all the time when we are timing our crossing at San Ysidro. The cameras are especially helpful.

I’ve tried emailing but no response. I like BorderTraffic I like being able to see cameras so I can gauge how long the line is. Times are very close.
Recently the cameras were not pointing in the right direction most are fixed now but Pedestrian camera 2 is too far to the right and you can’t see where the line is. You can only see when the line is that long and we know pedestrian camera 1 is worthless so we really need camera 2 to point more to the left like it used to be.

I live in Tijuana but cross the border 3-5 times a week. I have a Global Entry Card and use the Sentri Lanes. My house is pretty much equidistant from San Ysidro and Otay.
On days I need to cross, I check BorderTraffic before leaving home. Usually Otay has the lower crossing wait time. However, Otay wait time only goes to 19 minutes plus. It can be longer.
The golden part of BorderTraffic is the cameras. Let’s face it, wait time has a lot of variables. For instance, how many gates are open at any point in time. CBP will flex to open up to 4 Sentri lanes at Otay, or may only be using one. Then there is the question of how many cars are coming in at what rate. Add to that your drive time to the border and what can change. And lastly, what is time between app’s estimated wait time refresh. Cameras give me a better feel for wait time.
By the way, the cameras help me know which is better route to use to get there. I have two main routes to Otay. But if TJ police shut down the left turn from Belles Artes, then you need to go further East to make a uturn. My other route avoids that. Camera 3 shows the intersection.
I LOVE BorderTraffic. CBP app is useless.

Great app as you can see real time and see how long it will be but some cámara angles are far and some cámaras far away and can’t really tell were the line is

I purchased the lifetime subscription but BorderTraffic is terrible no way to change the password unless you logout and then it won’t let you reset the password, you must contact customer service every time and ask for help......

It’s just so badly designed it frustrates the user.....

Very disappointed, paid premium service, didn’t work and is impossible to get in contact with them, there is no phone number!!!!
Sent comments and e-mails and nothing happened!!!
Do not pay premium!!

I got the year membership so I can see most of the cameras and se the estimated wait time, but it says I exceed the views of wait time and cameras, supposably you can use it unlimited times but now it tells me on 30 views per month

But they seem to come from CBP website. In order to use BorderTraffic you need to know has fast the lines move and use the cameras to judge wait times (BorderTraffic tells you this) they lost some cameras on the Otay side, the more helpful ones, so I gave them a start less. customer service is super good and don’t try to Handel you just tell you how it is. I’d say it’s refreshing honest and the best part of BorderTraffic plus they are very helpful within their abilities.

I always cross at the right time thanks to BorderTraffic.
