It’s okay for journal entries

I am really disappointed with the function of this app. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. If’s journal entry is put on one device then it cannot transfer to the other device. The alarm feature has never worked. There are no alarm tones to be set. The reminder feature sends a text note. Pick a message and wake up to read, “Are you dreaming?” So that’s useless. I wrote to the developers and haven’t had a response. I just think they went off skateboarding and haven’t the attention span to come back to fix their app. It hasn’t had any updates in the year that I’ve had it.

Losing its Spark

I’ve been having some problems with this app. Sometimes my dream entries will randomly disappear, and I have to rewrite them. This is especially heartbreaking and frustrating for lucid, or otherwise vivid dreams, in which I had initially wrote out a lengthy, enthusiastic, and personal dream journal, only to come back and discover it gone. The ones I replace them with are lacking the personal touch, the raw detail that comes from remembering a fresh dream. I could excuse it if it happened only once, but it’s been a recurring problem. I also have a hard time editing dreams without them either disappearing, doubling my entries, or not being edited at all and ignoring all the notes I added after the fact. Also, nitpick, WILD and DILD stand for wake/dream initiated lucid dreams, not induced. That’s because they’re the result of a technique and not the actual technique themselves. It’s just a little jarring to see such a slip up, and along with the other advice which seems only useful for a newbie, it’s making me rather skeptical to continue using the app. Truthfully, I’ve only been using it for the journaling feature... This app is otherwise good, I love how is records both date and time. Also genre and general regard for the dream. But if it keeps up, I might just need to switch apps, I can’t risk losing any more dream entries. They’re just too valuable, and a re-write just doesn’t cut it for the original piece.

Good DJ, Terrible Flaws.

For 161 days I have been using this as my dream journal, and it’s great. The Interface is easy, and the details you can put in are great. My problem isn’t the Dream Journal, It’s the guides. They’re trash. Especially the MILD and WILD guides. The person who wrote them clearly haven’t read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. Aside from the awful technique guides, I had a bit of a problem with data on the Dream Journal. I never lost any dreams, But I always felt anxious about loosing my recorded dreams. Right now, I have 2 suggestions for this if the developer of the app is reading. 1. Fix the Technique Guides. Read MILD from Explore The World of Lucid Dreaming, and read the WILD guide from Mzzkc and rewrite the guides here. The ones here right now, are not good. 2. Add a more easy way to backup your dreams. It’s really annoying right now. Thanks for listening.
