INSTACARTERS STAY AWAY THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!
My first time using car advise, I set up an appointment for a headlight bulb swap. Upon pulling up to the mechanic, he quoted me what caradvise quoted me. When they went to charge me they charged me almost double the agreed rate. When I asked the car advise agent about this, she was rude and said it was obviously for the price of parts, but the mechanic and I were confused about the additional charges. The mechanic ended up not being able to fix it. I called back and somehow got the same agent. She was still rude and told me i would be refunded in 3-5 days. I left with my broken car with a dent in my wallet. 5 days later after no refund I decided to contact car advise. Justin informed me almost 30 minutes after contacting that they never initially issued a refund. I asked for a supervisor, but he kept posting screenshots from his billing platform ignoring my cries for someone to actually assist me. I still have yet to get my refund almost a few weeks later. I will be using a chargeback.

This app is the biggest waste of time and saves you nothing. If anything, you end up paying more. For instance, they quoted me $88 with a supposed discount, yet when i called the shop directly same service was $64. Contacted the app people thinking maybe for $88 i got something different in terms of service through them since the price was higher, they were completely useless and gave me nonsense answers like our prices are at least 5 percent below advertised. Um no they are not. Shops dont seem to know anything about them and basically you dont know what in the world you are getting in terms of service or how much it is going to cost you. And then they send you these worthless text messages about your appt, yet the shop has no knowledge of any of this. Waste of time. Ended up scheduling service for a lesser price outside of the app with a lot less headache.

Caradvise states that their pricing is lower than in store pricing. This is absolutely FALSE! I got an invoice from the store which was about $100 less than caradvise!! Here was their response:
The price you see on the receipt from the shop is the price that CarAdvise pays the shop. The price you pay is pretty much always slightly higher. The difference is the margin that CarAdvise keeps. That said, the margin is a little high on this so one of my supervisors will be adjusting the price and sending a refund of $xx back to you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
How can they claim that it’s lower than in store pricing!?? Mind you it was only a partial refund of the difference they only refunded about half so still paid $50 over…therefore not being lower than in store pricing.
