Anatomist – Anatomy Quiz Game Reviews

I'm in midwifery school taking an A&P class and found Anatomist helpful with most quizzes set to 'hard'; my high school students in A&P and Biology also found Anatomist helpful on the 'easy' and 'medium' settings. The ability to use, or not use, the timer was fantastic, also. I plan to apply to medical school and this will be such a helpful tool to remember info before I am accepted, and I'm sure the bonus 'medicine' section and 'expert' settings will be a great study aid in med school!

Don’t get me wrong... I love the quizzes, and they help a ton, but I wish there was one good anatomy app with actually studying along side the quizzes. For example, if I took the quizzes over parts of the brain, and got multiple wrong, I wish it would show me where to study, or give me a couple pages and diagrams to look over. It’s just quizzes, and it’s really hard to answer questions when you haven’t ever seen some of the words involved in the question. Wish it would TEACH you before you had to quiz over it.

if you have an exam soon and need some quick flashcards to study then look no further! this app is perfect for that quick anatomy study and totally worth the price. also, i love that i can connect with friends on Facebook but if you could add different ways to login that would be great. also, when i get questions wrong i'd love to see an image of what i selected and then what was correct so i can better learn from my mistakes. thank you!!

The search function is difficult to use. I wish when you missed one it was would make a list that you could edit to study. Also, I know sometimes certain sections, blood flow comes to mind, that are covered in a different way and order. I wish you could go through and create your own list so the quizzes are more taylored to each person. Otherwise great and very detail oriented app.

Also, the pulsing pin for some reason drives me bonkers on occasion.

I love Anatomist and all the material it covers. The only thing I would suggest is improving the shuffling in the quiz. I feel like it’s extremely repetitive early on. Also, adding a way to filter what material you want to test on. For example, maybe you just want to know gross anatomy for an organ and not histology. Being able to filter material in that way would be pretty awesome.

Anatomist is a great tool for reviewing material for medical school! I would highly recommend Anatomist for anyone that is interested in becoming a doctor or another advanced provider. It is cheap for the knowledge that it reviews. The only problem with Anatomist is the frequency that it crashes which gets annoying. However, I heard this was being fixed so I can’t wait till the new update!

I’m currently enrolled in a medical school taking their Surgical Technologist program. I really appreciate the format of Anatomist, and how many of the diagrams are clear, and remind me of the ones in my own textbooks. I’ll probably always keep Anatomist just to keep up on my anatomy throughout the rest of my schooling and career. Very well done! :)

The timed feature adds a fun dynamic. In a way it simulates a conversation. If you don’t know it right away, it’s not functional. The questions also include imaging diagnostics which I wasn’t expecting (and sucked at!) but that’s how you learn.... I’ve played 3 times and am hooked. I want to figure out if I can challenge my coworkers to a game?

Was really surprised to see the lack of anatomy quiz apps, but this one is really good! The amount of adds for the unpaid version made it for me unusable but the paid for app was extremely worth it and is really helping me get a working knowledge of things for my classes.

I am so impressed with Anatomist! First of all, the music & sound effects are cool. Secondly, all of the information is (as far as I can tell) correct! I’m a nursing student, & this has really helped me review all kinds of material for my practicals & exams. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

love the idea behind Anatomist but the ads are truly intolerable - popping up every couple of questions. I tried to buy the premium version but the links did not work at all and I couldn’t find any way to buy it. disappointing since I was trying to use it to cram and don’t have time to figure out the issue :(

I love Anatomist but it has WAY to many ads. I understand the point of ads but it’s very distracting when I’m trying to study and after a few questions another ad come through that I can’t exit out of. More then a few times I was forced to start a quiz over.

I loved Anatomist so much due to the relevant and to visual questions that were given. I loved Anatomist so much I bought the premium version for 99 cents. Only problem is that when I go back in Anatomist after my purchase, I still get the time-consuming ads and limited quizzes. How can i access what the premium version was offering me?

I came to download Anatomist because I adore advertisements! I couldn’t wait to answer a question so that an advertisement would pop up! 10 second adds every question 😍😍😍!

If you’re looking for a helpful app to begin from in your anatomy world than look no further than this one. A helpful app to test how much you know with nothing too difficult to grasp.

I love Anatomist! I think it’s wonderful but I downloaded it on the my other device but it’s not working! I tried to submit the problem but it’s not letting me click on any options. Please help!

I love Anatomist so much, but I’d like to see some patient positioning as well. For example Fowler’s, lateral, and prone.
Also, maybe add the functions and the answers could be the the anatomical structure.
Once you get those Anatomist will cover everything!

I went through a few quizzes. A few take aways: 1)material is very broad which I like. However, some questions seemed fairly obvious with the answers provided. There should be a way to filter the content you get quizzed on. 2) As stated in previous reviews the ads are overwhelming. You start a quiz, the first questions pop up. But before you can answer you have to go through an ad. You then can go through the 10 questions. Following the ad you are then forced to watch another ad. I'd prefer one ad(twice as long) either before or after each quiz.

Overall material=4 star
Ad issue= -1 star

I’m studying anatomy and Anatomist has helped me so much. It’s a fast, easy, and fun way to learn anatomy. I use Anatomist off and on throughout everyday. 5 Star! I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Oh and... 1.) I love the music. 2.) Bill Murray is the MAN!

Anatomist motivates me to study before taking their test and after. I look for dwarf to studying so I can quiz myself and when I score well I am motivated to keep studying! Thank you!

This a great app for learning anatomy and the two extra sections (medications and ECG) are greatly appreciated as well. I think it is a good value for the $2.99. One thing that needs to be fixed is how fast Anatomist goes to the next question after you answer. I don’t have any time to re-read over the answers.

This is exactly the stuff I need to know for the future. I think this is perfect for anyone who plans to enter the medical field of work!!!

I was about to purchase the full version. It says three minutes ago it is only .99. It’s actually 1.19 in Anatomist . Of course .20 isn’t much, however, the point is it cost more than advertised. So no, I won’t be upgrading and will be deleting it. I’m not one of those customers that will look over something like this and say oh it’s just a few extra cents. That adds up per customer. Don’t try to get over on consumers. We have rights too.

I love Anatomist the only problem is that I’m trying to buy the add free version and move to the next level and it won’t let me very frustrating. I love Anatomist for study best quizzes.
Need to fix the problem of buying the level up I hit the bottom to buy for .99 and nothing happens.

The correct answer disappears so quickly that Anatomist isn’t very useful. The developers have replied previously stating they would fix the issue but in over a month there has been no such update. Right now it isn’t worth the space on your phone.

The “bouncing pin” is annoying and hard to see what it is actually pointing to. The same questions repeat too quickly. I didn’t even finish one quiz and had the same question four times. An entire digestive system to go through and it wants to ask about the mucosa layer four times.
