Overall GigSpot is good except the job board won’t load initially without going to a different screen first. Enhancements: 1) GigSpot should have a way to remove shops that you don’t want. (One at a time or by company or state) The list is too cumbersome. 2) need to see jobs Ive applied to that are still pending. 3) use icons on job offers to indicate requirements i.e. photos, call, visit, video, recorded call etc. I find the written descriptions are contradictory. 4) fix search, it brings back ridiculous results and you can even search by state 5) many times job board and guidelines don’t match. For example the guidelines say must be a workday but job offer says must be today only (which is a Saturday)

Had glitches when I first joined but it was fixed but giving a simple report on their website. HOWEVER. The big caveat here is also pay. Companies can take up to 8 weeks to pay you promising compensation only by the end of NEXT month. Even after the job has been approved. Makes me feel kinda iffy about this app in general when there’s other ones that will make sure you get paid by the end of the week or as soon as your job is finished. Plus it’s all weird because of how each individual company pays. Some will do direct deposit others would do PayPal. Honestly I think it would be better and easier to monitor if everything went through GigSpot and then could be transferred to PayPal or direct deposit at your own discretion.

Disappointed!! IF YOU USE AN IPHONE OR MAC BEWARE!!

I have used this app successfully many times in the past for multiple jobs with my iPhone in the past. I didn’t understand why so many bad reviews.

Today I am aware! I had accepted 6 jobs & was about to apply for 7 more. I logged into my app & it said I had no jobs; when I had already received an email saying I was accepted. Strange.

Then when I tried to check my account it kept saying “log in failed” error message when I was already logged in. What?!

Tried resetting my password & resetting my devices. I even contacted the company for the jobs assigned directly & she mentioned to try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome. Nope.

Tried from my laptop, tried from my desktop...no & no. Ugh!

I finally had to ask for the jobs to be removed & reassigned. I will be removing & ending my relationship with this app!

I have many freelance jobs & this is extremely unprofessional on their part. I feel bad for the companies they help source out jobs for. There are many good shoppers out there who use Macs & iPhones & they will be losing them.

My time is important & valuable to me!! I cannot & will not be wondering all day if I can access the papers needed to complete a job, or worse spend all day doing jobs that I can’t submit.

It seems like a good idea, consolidating a bunch of companies into this platform. Once you sign into it though, you can’t go back to using the shooing companies sites. “Why would you want to do this?”, you might ask. Well, after using GigSpot, you’ll know why. Hey Ace, About Face, Strategic Réfections, Alta 360 and others—get with it! Your faithful shoppers force is largely not using GigSpot anymore

They haven’t fixed GigSpot that has been glitchy and slow for at least 3 years!! I use other MSP combined apps and this is the worst. It’s deleted answers from my survey on multiple occasions. Thank god it automatically saves pics to the camera roll. It takes forever to load even on stable wifi. You accidentally hit the back button and you have to wait for the surveys to be “loaded” even though they were already there! Pictures and attachments take forever. Horrible. I always regret taking shops because it’s more trouble than worth due to the issues with GigSpot that they refuse to fix!

I don’t like leaving negative reviews & seldom bring myself to do so but I think it’s imperative that I speak out in hopes that changes be made quickly. I lost my first assignment because it failed to show up under my jobs. Not only does this make me look bad but it has to be detrimental to the companys that accept the job & offer to us. It’s looked upon as a no show & is a direct reflection of incompetence. The this app app is directly to blame & I hope to see them turn this around quickly. I think that the prudent thing to do is send a written letter of apology to the companies & potential shoppers who have faithfully supported them so that we all can restore our image.

I have the same frustration as the other reviewers. I sent messages to their tech support and their answer to me was to access their website from a computer; since their site doesn’t even work on my iPhone. I do all my work on my iPhone and never had any problems. Yes my phone is running the latest software. Maybe it works on androids... I don’t know why this won’t be fixed. The mystery shopping companies might find they will have more success with filling shops and having them completed if they quit using this interface until the problems are REALLY resolved. There’s no excuse for this incompetence.

Love this app just have to beware of the contracts that you agree to and sign up with. Pay close attention to the payout times for
each company and their events. Some only pay monthly while others pay you immediately after your assignment and paperwork is submitted. I am currently paid weekly with FRONTROW and working out at Smiths and Walmart here in Las Vegas area.

GigSpot works fine up until the point of submission. Then it becomes tricky to actually submit the report. Also, the information that is entered on GigSpot does not carryover onto the website. When you open the website, the report is empty. But information entered using the website will carryover to GigSpot .

I enjoy using GigSpot for quick shops, but uploading takes longer than the travel and shops due to consistent sync errors. Would love to see this corrected.

I did 3 jobs using GigSpot and nothing went though when I tried to submit the reports. I asked tech support for help over and over again and got no response. I contacted one company directly and was told this is a common issue. The scheduler actually told me to email them telling them to cancel GigSpot all together and guess what??? I got an email back in 2 hours telling me it was cancelled. Unprofessional to say the least. Ignoring the people who use this waste of space in my phone is not smart at all

I did work for Strategic reflections and spent some of my own money I did not receive payment and when I contacted Gigaspot they told me to contact Strategic reflections I did the work in May I have emailed and phoned with no results I am out I realize a small amount only $29 but giga spot is where I found the job as far as I’m concerned they need to pony up so my suggestion to you is don’t do work for them or strategic reflections

I have downloaded it but have not used it yet. I will be but I don’t know if they really pay or just a scam. If anyone has worked for gig spot I would like your opinion on it. There are many jobs available also so I give it a high rating if I accept one and pays out like it supposed to

I love GigSpot. I am able to find projects and jobs in my area. App is very easy to handle and manage: mostly everything I need in one stop app!!

Not the greatest app to work with! If I could choose differently, I definitely wouldn’t use GigSpot !!!

Very kind people will give you great events to work just have to be willing to work hard and not waste their time great app.

Impossible to input reports. Will give me an error saying my login details are invalid, but when I put in the log in details, logs me in, allows me to select jobs. When I go to put in the reports, BAM, log in details invalid. I have to wait to get home to use laptop to put in the reports - LOGGING IN on the website WITH THE SAME LOG IN DETAILS THAT GigSpot SAID WAS INVALID. Awful and frustrating app.

This latest app is really easy and fun to work with! Much better than the previous one.

You have to view agreement and sign agreement to get a job. But every time I try to sign an agreement it comes up something went wrong try again later for two weeks now I’ve uninstall GigSpot and reinstall GigSpot twice and still the same problem.

I enjoy GigSpot . I’ve done several shops with GigSpot and I’ve never had any problems. I haven’t taken on the more complicated shops yet. This is my main shop app.

GigSpot is good for finding jobs however it gets stuck or kicks me out frequently. The responsiveness of GigSpot should be worked on.

First of all, GigSpot is painfully SLOW! It’s cheaply designed obviously which makes navigating GigSpot frustrating. You apply for jobs, get accepted via email with instructions to accept the job again, weird and confusing. Under “my jobs” shows 0 even after I’ve been accepted, doesn’t show any jobs you’ve applied for. It’s sketchy at best, a waste of my time so I’m deleting GigSpot! Bye!!!!

I have had a lot of trouble with GigSpot lately including losing information input.

this app as a whole is nice for aggregating multiple companies’ opportunities, but beware if you are entering audit results both on the web and in GigSpot . The sync process is slow and atrocious, and sometimes it won’t detect a version conflict between the two and overwrite an already-completed, but not submitted, audit with an empty audit, causing lost work and wasting your time redoing it all.

I reported a serious glitch in GigSpot that causes it to crash when I click on the My Jobs tab. I’ve yet to get a response. I’ve taken all of the typical steps to repair glitches—deleted GigSpot , restarted my phone, downloaded GigSpot again—but that hasn’t worked. So, I cannot access any of my jobs in GigSpot . It’s a real headache.

I love this app but I just wish there was more places available to work at. And I wish we got paid more than one a month. But it’s good.

Payment process is EXTREMELY slow. It typically takes at least 4-6 weeks to get paid and for some gigs you’ll use your own money to purchase products. And I’m also concerned about the security of personal info. One of the agents that I worked me asked me to send over my SSN and bank account details over emails to set up direct deposit which I don’t feel comfortable with. NEVER share your social security # via email!! What kind of world are we living in now??? As a gig worker, we need weekly (or at least biweekly) pay to survive. Ive worked on more than 10 shifts in the past month and did not receive one single payment as of yet. And pay rate is pretty average, just a little above minimum wage. NOT worth your time!

I love GigSpot. It’s been keeping me busy for the last couple weeks. I would say the only downfall on GigSpot, is not getting your payment right away . On almost every job they offer on GigSpot completing the work you have to wait a couple weeks, just to get paid. Payment is almost always Via PayPal! The Jobs pay hi the locations are very nice and professional and each staff member I’ve ever ever dealt with is very professional and nice as well.

The uploads speed is slow most of the time. Much slower than any other apps I have.
