I like how the bulbs can be controlled individually or added to groups. However, every bulb in the group HAS to be exactly the same (both in color in brightness). I would like to be an option when creating groups that would let you choose whether the bulbs are grouped for color, brightness or both. That way I can have my bulbs all the same color and brightness, or I can have them all the same brightness but different colors. Another feature is that we should be able to set the default color and brightness of a bulb or group. One of my “moods” is a warm white, but the bulbs always default to bright white when disconnected from power. Other than that I have no gripes. The timer and schedule features work flawlessly and I never have an issue connecting to the bulbs. Many of the reviews here talk about issues but it sounds like user-error because Bluetooth isn’t as user-friendly as WiFi. If you have an iPhone make sure that Bluetooth is on in your Settings ANNNND that it is toggled on in the Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen). If Bluetooth is off in Control Center, it will disallow any new connections (including to the bulbs) even though Bluetooth is on in Settings.

I just got my two "smart" bulbs, installed VehoKasa on my ipad and iPhone and I feel do ripped off.
Apparently you can't use multiple devices. So I deleted it know my ipad and then I was able to use my iPhone --- set up was OK, the problem came when i tried to make it turn off remotely. Actually I was sitting right next to the lamp and VehoKasa said that the bulb was off, but it stubbornly stayed lit no matter what I tried.
And it is stuck in blue!!!! I tried deleting and reinstalling VehoKasa but it didn't help. When I tried to get more information on the Web there was nothing about advanced troubleshooting. In fact the only troubleshooting that was in the instructions in the package were too few, too brief and not helpful.
So I feel stuck with tech that isn't worth having. I wish the makers wouldn't have released this until it was ready!!!

The light bulbs are great, but VehoKasa only works 1 in 10 attempts. When it does work, it's nice to be able to change the color and brightness of the bulbs. And I was looking forward to using the scheduling feature. But VehoKasa loses connection to the bulbs so frequently that simply turning on my lights becomes a frustrating experience. To regain connection, I've found that deleting VehoKasa and reinstalling it sometimes helps. But not always. And forget about trying to find support on the company's web page. It's nonexistent. I've emailed the support department, but haven't gotten a response. I will be switching to another brand of smart lights because I love the idea of a low-energy bulb with this much control.

Have had to delete and reinstall this lousy app the past 6 days.

What a piece of junk.

Worked the first time. Haven't been able to do much except turn them on, manually at that, since. Looks like I got snookered into another piece of crap. Had for a week. Have had to trash and reinstall VehoKasa so many times I've lost count. Don't waste your time setting up any groups etc. you'll just have to do it over and over. An expensive lightbulb. That's all I got. THANKS KASA!!!

Here's an update: VehoKasa just plain doesn't work from one day to the next. Had these 3 was, have deleted and reinstalled app EVERY day, sometimes twice cuz it's just that big a pile of bull roar.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS CRAPPY PRODUCT.

update: it’s now well over 18months and you would have thought there would (might) b an update that would address even some of the basic issues, but alas, I’ve deleted and reinstalled app 3 times TODAY. And still can’t find the bulbs it found yesterday. Nothing’s changed. It works when it feels like it and F&@?/k you if it doesn’t.

I received my light strip today, took me about 2 minutes to put it where I already planned. Downloaded VehoKasa and I can actually control the light from the next room over. I would like to see an automatic color changing setting added where you can select what colors it automatically changed from and to in what order you want. Green and red would be great for Christmas.

You have a better chance at winning the Mega Millions while getting struck by lightning while being swept up by a tornado and waking up along side a yellow brick road headed to Oz than you do getting VehoKasa to work! Restarting your iPhone is your best bet for this to not freeze up on you and even then your odds aren’t as good as the absurd scenario mentioned above. Seeing similar posts from months ago leaves little to no hope in their effort to correct these errors so unless you’re someone that won their product I wouldn’t purchase ANYTHING from this company EVER!

I also feel stuck. I have bought several and they work great when you have two or three going. But trying to get them all in sync is difficult. Not sure what else to do. Set up was easy. They looked great. But then you add another bulb and it will not work no matter what. When you name them on VehoKasa , it also will not save the name next time you turned it on

So the strip lights are very bright and a decent length. The LED stops do how ever get very warm for an LED.

I'm not sure how I feel about the heat since I leave my hue strips on all the time without ever getting this warm.

VehoKasa is very basic. I mean you can turn them on and off and change the color. You can also set a scheduled time to turn on or off.

But besides that VehoKasa seems like it's incomplete. I would love to see added to the mood section the option to have the colors fade in and out. They have a good product just spend more time on it to make it great.

Terrible product, what a rip off. Not at all what was advertised. App doesn't stay connected to bulbs and if there is more that one person in your household that wants to control the bulbs... think again! I either have really expensive white bulbs or very fragile paperweights!

Save your money don't waste it on this product, you will be disappointed!

The smart light bulbs are a great product, but VehoKasa is horrible. My lightbulb "names" keep switching back to their MAC address rather than what I named them, the Bluetooth doesn't connect well even when I'm in the room, and multiple devices aren't supported well. Please devote more resources to VehoKasa so that I can justify buying more of these smart light bulbs. The concept is great...just not the execution.

These smart bulbs are great and so is the "app" if you have plenty of spare time to get everything set up only to find out the next day that VehoKasa is locked up!

Try the text support, it's worth a laugh or two. What they don't tell you is when VehoKasa locks up, simply turn off your iPhone, restart and keep your fingers crossed. Such a great product to be connected to such a poor tech staff!

Thank you, Angus, for the update. We really missed being able to use our bulbs. But you have enabled iOS 11.3 users to do it again. Thanks so much.

VehoKasa does what it needs to do and the lights work great. However, it is inconvenient to use a separate app when all other smart devices are controlled by Alexa and HomeKit. I would definitely buy more smart lights from this company if they added this capability.

It crashes so much. It’ll freeze up and then you have to refresh it at least 5 times and don’t even get me started on how long it took me to set up a schedule. It’s a good app with a good purpose but honestly the bugs in VehoKasa is unbelievable. PLEASE MAKE IT BETTER!

This "smart" iPad app is too stupid to auto-rotate on an iPad It's a pet peeve. The single star is for VehoKasa alone. The smart plug I got it for might have worked, but TP-Link lacked the corporate ethics to let us know upfront either in the ad or on the box that it only works with a 2.4 GHz wifi. I didn't discover it was unusable on my network till I got to the setup card underneath all the packaging.

I wish I could have my lights separate from my Step sons lights. He will accidentally turn mine on or off and I will do his also because VehoKasa continues to drop the name of the bulb. I wish I could set the bulb to slowly come up to a brightness I want in the mornings. VehoKasa really needs work but it seems like they don’t care about improving VehoKasa .

Loses connection and the light freezes in a color. App has a lot of work to do to make this a great product. Having the option of programming color fades would also be nice. I like the bulbs those. 5 star for those.

Was able to connect and change the color of the bulb but very poor design and quality.

VehoKasa works well for me. Don't know what other people were having problems with.

Lights work okay, but it takes 30 seconds to connect when you want to turn the lights on. I ALWAYS have to close out VehoKasa and reopen so it will work. After the latest iPhone update VehoKasa barely works. Gets stuck on loading screens.
