Title says it all. No longer can I find a convenient way to get my local Fort Wayne news. Time to uninstall WOWONews
In WOWONews Store you can only see one review & what bothers me is it is a 5 star. I want to see pluses & minuses. This is wrong!!
Since an update or 2 ago the audio stream plays automatically when you open WOWONews . It can be embarrassingly annoying to have audio play when you really only just wanted to discreetly check the news headlines.
Update:
The 3.0 upgrade completely removed news and headlines from WOWONews and now it is only about the audio stream. Removing about 1/2 of the usefulness of WOWONews . Before I would use WOWONews to read the headlines and would sometimes listen to the stream.
If you want to read WOWO news you have to use the web site and it is far from mobile friendly. The result is I will get much less of my news from WOWO now and will have to find another source to supplement what I would want to follow for unbiased reporting and local news when I donβt want audio but would rather read the news.
Also the audio stream auto starts. This still bothers me and I would prefer this to be an optionβ¦ but I guess itβs a bit less of an issue if WOWONews is only useful for listening to the audio stream now.
WOWONews is broken more often then it works. I like listening to WOWO but not on WOWONews!
Open WOWONews and right at the top is a Play button; press it and the stream starts up right away. You can also play on an AppleTV device to listen on a larger sound system. WOWONews also has a list of news headlines that you can read.
