App support broken, appointments fail

1-no app support. (Clicking app support just takes you to OhioHealths General info pages, no way to contact app support)
2-appointments NOT working correctly. App says I need a vaccine, click here to schedule…clicking there takes me to an error page that says I’m already fully vaccinated. SO WHY ARE YOU ALERTING ME???
3- payment not working correctly: trying to make a payment takes you OUTSIDE OhioHealth to a separate payment processing website. So many errors I cannot screenshot them all!!
(I guess I see why they disabled app support, this thing is broken!!)

App needs work

The billing section of OhioHealth is in desperate need of an update. It’s very difficult to get to where you actually make a payment. It’s also tricky in what it wants you to pay. The amount listed is what you owe Ohio Health entirely then there is a payment button under that amount then under the payment button it shows your statement amount if you’re on a payment plan. But when you click the payment button it lists the entire amount owed, then it lists a certain percentage they would like you to pay, then there is an option for paying any amount you would like. It does not give you the option to pay the statement amount agreed upon with customer service/the amount in the monthly statement. OhioHealth makes it very easy to question if you’re paying the wrong amount wether it be too much or not enough. Basically OhioHealth is not aligned with what’s happening with the call center/payment plan. So I end up having to call to make my payment to feel confident that the correct amount was payed.

It’s ok.

It can be difficult to find what you need quickly, especially when trying to navigate between the different “areas” of OhioHealth (e.g. the home page and its tools, your separate personal info page, your separate personal settings, etc). Notifications and pop-ups are annoying and tend not to disappear. Sometimes it crashes. There’s some redundant pieces and parts. The telehealth appointments aren’t without glitches/problems and for some reason require you to download the zoom app which is not great (and doesn’t inspire a great feeling of security). But at the end of the day, despite the frustration and clunkiness, it provides services that are relatively convenient, so that’s nice. The fact that it constantly logs me out makes me feel a little more secure I guess, but I still hate having a portal to such personal info on my phone.

Billing needs overhauled or removed from MyChart. It’s always incorrect. I pay, then refunded, or I’ve overpaid or my account is overdue.

The notices about appointments are way too many. For one appointment I’ll receive email reminders and phone calls. At least 4 notices. Even if they been confirmed by me. My appointment dates are also added to my iPhone calendar by the Ohio Health office while I’m still there. That is awesome.

The redundancy of OhioHealth can be overwhelming at times.

Online bill pay needs a lot of work. Access to partial or no information does not help anyone. Give access and train support on it or else do not offer it.

The web site popup to view in app is confusing. Remove it, think about it. Not everyone knows the difference, and there’s huge differences. Such as password resets, why must we call someone every time when recovery information matches?

OhioHealth , give meaningful error messages, it’s always “oops”, how does that help even the most knowledgeable patient?

Signed up for covid vaccine ... utter failure

Signed up for my chart, downloaded app in preparation for vaccine eligibility. Ohio health document the process ... you get an email saying your eligible and time to schedule ( email never came). Logged into OhioHealth ... no ability to schedule shot. Helpline ... overwhelmed and basically not answering the phone.

When I needed it ... it failed to deliver.

I did see past visit and test results which why they did not receive lowest score.

The financial assistance seems to be a run around and a mess to apply for. I’m fortunate enough to have the at hand supplies needed to fill it out and send the application in to you guys, however, those who don’t know how to do all that I feel bad for. Despite me being able to maneuver and figure things out it seems like it’s almost made intentionally hard.

My suggestion is to create an in app financial application. One that the patients/applicants can digitally type numbers and letters. For instance my application was sent back to me because the 7 in 2017 of my employment date was not legible. Having digital letters and numbers would avoid that and allow faster approval process. The employment application is easily submitted via all one process. Right now it seems like for the financial assistance application you have to take extra steps that aren’t really necessary for modern day times.

Great…would love to see a few updates.

Great app and truly appreciate having all this information so easily accessible.
Would really like to see the home page able to be customized. Some annoying reminders that do not apply are there and it makes it harder to weed through for the information you really do need.

I have been a patient of this app for thirty years and during this time I have nothing but the highest regard for the handling of my health events. Whether it is something as simple as inquiring about a location of a clinic or being cared for an acute illness and or surgery the people taking care of me, doctors, nurses or aides

I love all the improvements that continue to be made in OhioHealth. My experience this past early spring in scheduling an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccination was so easy and convenient. BIG thank you!
I also love being able to pay my bills via using OhioHealth . And thank you for designing OhioHealth to work with my iPhone’s facial ID. Again, makes it so simple!

Love getting test results quickly!

I enjoy using the Ohio Health app because the results of any tests are immediate. I feel more in touch with my overall healthcare and my providers. Definitely will keep using it! It has been one of the big reasons I will stay with Ohio Health. Additionally, as OhioHealth continues to be upgraded, it becomes more accurate and easy to use.

Didn’t think I’d need it so soon

I ended up being admitted to the hospital and had to have surgery. I used the chart the see my daily blood work which revealed another issue I wouldn’t have known without it because none of the doctors during my three-day stay brought it up. I use the billing section now (unfortunately) but it does make it easier to pay my bills and I even signed up to make monthly 10% payments.

Arrived at Riverside Methodist Hospital ER with chest pains and shortness of breath.

Coronary was immediately stabilized with open heart surgery few days later (cabg4) very impressed with exemplary care during, and post hospitalization. Everybody all the way along; the ER admins, surgeons, nurses even the kitchen were kind, friendly, gentle, informative, professional and caring. I actually kinda miss ‘em :)

Labs

There is no historical graph of past lab results in OhioHealth. I like to look back and watch my trends. Have to log into the main mychart to access that. This was the primary reason I wanted OhioHealth , for ease of access to current and past lab results.

Paying a bill through OhioHealth was really fast and easy though.

Keeps track of everything!

OhioHealth makes life so simple, it doesn’t just keep track of my upcoming appointments but it will add them to my calendar as well. I can do paperless billing in a couple of taps, no problem & done. All my lab test results are right there to refer back to and my Doctors all say to use the Ask the Doctor feature if I need to. That’s just a few basic features there are so many more!

I absolutely love being able to see my physician’s notes and test results so quickly; staying informed and current on my medical conditions eases the stress of waiting for phone calls and scheduled office visits. And my physician’s office has responded very timely to my questions, assuring my peace of mind.

I received excellent, thorough care from both Dr. Scism and Jeremy. Also the lab tech did a quick, painless blood draw. It was a very positive experience and test results came back quickly with a follow up call the next day. Great way to baseline my health as I started into Medicare.

Dr. Miller is amazing and so is her assistant Susan. They are caring, compassionate and truly listen to you and care about you. Anytime I send a MyChart message, it is always answered so quickly. The office staff is so friendly as well. I would highly recommend this practice.

Poor design mobile app is very poor

Difficult to send messages. Automatically logs out why you’re creating a message. Therefore you’re never sure the message was sent. Not all doctors are shown in order to message. This site needs a lot of work and should be tested with people that actually use this site.

Good app to keep track of appointments, billing and allow communication with your providers.

Problem is that my notifications stay lit even after I check them. Also, there’s no way to enter stuff like the flu shot if you get it at a non-this app provider. So, the notification cannot be removed.
