Today Sunday January 26,2020 - I was searching for FREE photo apps and I got curious about this. I downloaded to see how it works and I didn’t have even the change to pick my options if I wanted to do the free trial. The information about what to do to avoid ANY payments was so confusing and didn’t know where to go to cancel my account or turn off the auto-renewal. I don’t want this company to STEAL MY MONEY for an app that I didn’t agreed to pay for. I spend at least 2 hours trying to get some type of resolution and confirmation that I won’t get charge and since I couldn’t get one, I’m notifying this publicly and will follow up about the progress of this issue so people is aware.
Dear developer, Cancel my account immediately, don’t take advantage of the lock of information to justify terms of payments that I didn’t agree to pay. I don’t want your app not the auto-renewal.

SelfieEditor is very choosy; by this, I mean it would be useful to some people, to a certain crowd that is all about being barbie-like or perfect, who cakes on makeup and photoshops their body shapes to look better on Instagram than they do in reality. This isn’t really my style, to be completely honest, but I tried out SelfieEditor anyways because I wanted to get rid of a spot of acne on my face in an older photo, or I wanted to see if I could whiten my teeth in SelfieEditor. It worked poorly, but it still technically worked. SelfieEditor has a lot of options to choose from, but it’s inferior to photoshop. If I really cared about enhancing photos I would use something on a computer or on a more high-quality setting.

I enjoyed SelfieEditor and it’s features it was a fun way to change up some of the pictures that I would never normally go back and look for unless for something specific. It was fun to find pictures I thought would be good to change in different ways with the options SelfieEditor provides. In my opinion it was only something that I would do just as I’ve said for fun. I would not use the pictures for actual posts or to send or to show others it’s just not as natural or realistic looking enough for me to use the enhanced photos. I appreciate the chance at trying SelfieEditor the trial period is a good amount of time to allow use of the different features but the $4.99 a week is a bit high to edit pictures that I will not use in the future.

I love this selfie editor app but I'm having major issues with it. My teenage son got his braces off today and I wanted to show off his new smile on FB. I wanted to remove a little of the acne breakout he's currently experiencing and SelfieEditor did that beautifully. However, it keeps telling me that in order to crop the picture I have to upgrade. I bought the whole package months ago. So I thought okay, whatever, maybe somehow the cropping tool wasn't included?? So I was willing to pay the $4.99 to upgrade AGAIN. Then it said I had already purchased the upgrade. Okay great. Went back to editing my sons picture and it's saying the same thing. I can't get past the message that I have to upgrade and when it says upgrade now and I try, now it won't let me. What gives? I just want the picture of my son. Am I asking for the world?

SelfieEditor is okay for small things like the tech whitening and blemish smoothing, but only for photos that aren’t close up. It it’s too close you can tell that something has been used to edit the photo. Also it asks you to upgrade too often. I’m not really a fan of the filters but that’s just my personal opinion.
The one tool that I didn’t like what so ever was the Tone tool. This option sounds really cool because you can color match your skin tone and make your skin one even color, right? Wrong. When you use the color picker, it looks like it picked up the color well for you to match, but then once you go back to the picture to even everything out the color looks 5 times darker than it really is. The idea sounds great but it doesn’t work how it’s supposed to, that tool is basically useless.
When you use the teeth whitener or the patches on photos that are up close, you can see that something was obviously used to alter the photo. It looks almost grainy on the teeth and too smooth to be true on the patch.
Like I said, SelfieEditor is okay for small things but I wouldn’t pay the $4.99 for the upgraded version unless the quality got better.

Upon opening, it shows the upgrade option. I hit the left arrow to avoid paying and SelfieEditor automatically reopened my photo library.
I picked a selfie, took a quick mini tutorial which introduces you how to use the features and I played with them a bit.
Unfortunately, the means of a feature covers part of the photos so I couldn’t see the picture and adjust accordingly. The idea of having these features is great and I see SelfieEditor having lots of potential.
The auto retouch feature is amazing as you can adjust the color and height of lips, nose width, jaw width and eye sizes. Unfortunately, this feature is available for upgrades. The downside of the lip color is the edges are too sharp, which makes the filter obvious, it’d be cool if the edges fades out to give a natural look.
The reshape doesn’t seem to work well though, it creates a small bu obvious U dent on wherever I press and move inward. Maybe it’s because I’m using the free version and the upgrade version may work better.
To save the work, an ad video would play so you’d have to wait till it ends first and then close it to get access to your photo.

SelfieEditor is pretty good, very user friendly. I liked how every time I tried something new like teeth whitening or eye color it gave you a quick tutorial of how to do it. I was surprised however about how much the premium subscription is required. It would be nice if there were just a few more options with the free version to entice the user a bit more. Also as soon as I got into SelfieEditor for the first time there is a whole screen for upgrading to premium which I thought was annoying as I haven’t even tried SelfieEditor out yet.
by Dimz101
I like the auto editor it looks natural and the filter options are nice however the advanced editor changes are very obvious, sharp, and unnatural. there are some changes that could be made to the auto editor lip color changer, it goes outside the natural outline of my lips and when changing the color there seems to be a glossy finish that makes it obvious. I don’t like that the first thing when downloading SelfieEditor is asking to upgrade. it would be better for it to be asked after using SelfieEditor for a little. The auto smoothness isn’t a feature I like because it smoothes things that make the picture worse not better. The teeth whitening is probably the best feature on SelfieEditor but unfortunately in some pictures, it doesn’t detect my full smile so it’ll only whiten some parts or go outside my actual teeth.

I think SelfieEditor has good features, but not enough options. Most of the options require a paid subscription, and the price is way too expensive for what SelfieEditor provides. It needs to provide a few more options for free to entice a subscription to SelfieEditor . It also needs to provide more editing options. I also wanted to make an adjustment on my photo and be able to see the before to compare before I saved it, but I didn’t find that option. Compared to other photo editing apps, it doesn’t offer enough options and it’s too expensive. Additionally, it places a watermark on your photo that you can’t remove unless you purchase the subscription.

I see the potential of SelfieEditor and I can appreciate the design and work, but i didn’t enjoy using it. It made me frustrated. It only lets you crop your pic if you have the premium membership and I wanted to try SelfieEditor first. So I wanted to smooth my skin in a pic of my husband and I, but SelfieEditor kept applying any changes I tried to make to my face onto HIS face and it wouldn’t stop. No matter what I tried to change the editing to, all SelfieEditor would do is stay on the tutorial button and ask me if I wanted the tutorial.. I couldn’t get it to work right for me. But I’m looking forward to changes and updates that will make things smoother and more seamless;)

SelfieEditor has all the basic features that come with a free editing app, however you need to upgrade to have access to all of them. For example, the deficits feature gives you the options to make your photo “more defocused” or “less defocused”, and while the former is free, the latter requires you to upgrade. Also, you don’t have a lot of control of the intensity of the edits you make and thus the edits can look pretty obvious. I also think that the auto retouch feature could be changed a little bit because the menu with the retouch options covers the photo and you can’t really see how it looks until the end.
by VeeWilliams
I like the fact that SelfieEditor has the auto correct option that immediately pops up once you upload a picture. That’s saves a lot of time and hard work. You can also take away blemishes such as pimples, which is another great feature SelfieEditor offers. I think the eye color change option needs to be worked on a bit. It’s hard controlling and lining up the filtered eye to the original eye in the picture and once it’s off track, it’s almost impossible to fix. As a matter of fact, I could not fix it at all as my screen froze and wouldn’t allow me to even save it he eye changes to the picture.

SelfieEditor is ok. Without the subscription you can use their auto-retouch, which looks super unnatural, but once you adjust it yourself it’s ok. The rest of the features you can use, but you can’t save the changes unless you buy the subscription. The subscription page pops up after almost every button you click, which was pretty frustrating. I went to test out the eye color changer and got stuck on the page, there’s no back button, so I had to close SelfieEditor and lose all the changes on my photo. Overall I wouldn’t recommend but if you’re willing to buy the subscription it might be good.

I like that it only tells you where the tutorial is one time and not every time you click on it. I mainly use editing apps for acne coverage. I think the bandaid feature was cool because you could see the picture blending, but it was a little unrealistic looking because i have a lot of freckles, so it was moving my freckles around. The details feature was nice it was very subtle and not so obvious as some other apps. I like that the lips are adjustable for the lipstick feature, but the colors seem semitransparent and a little fake. The auto editor looked very fake. There's honestly not a lot of filters or very many editing options in general, and the ones currently there don't look extremely natural. The tutorials come off a bit like popup ads which can be a minor inconvenience, but as I said before, they only pop up the first time you use the feature. So, it's not too big of a hassle.

I love the options to do things with my hair in additions to teeth whitening and skin smoothing.
I don't like that I have to join the subscription and have to close it w/in 3 days. so many people are so busy, they forget to cancel and start getting charged. I also think that with the setup for payment being as in your face as it is, I find that children will sign up for these things and not realize or care that they have done something that 18+ should be deciding.
I think it is better to have certain filters cost individually rather than a week of subscription.

SelfieEditor looks very useful. I actually like it a lot! However.. I have a few suggestions. The buttons on SelfieEditor look a little blurry, thats something that stands out for me, and I believe it should be fixed so SelfieEditor could look a bit more natural and not choppy. Also, I think a 'skip tutorial' button should be placed within SelfieEditor because when i click on an editing tool it takes me straight to the tutorial. I have had a few editing apps so I can find my way around these quite quick.

Selfie Editor: Beauty Makeup allows you to apply many different enhancements to your selfie. Adding minimal effects would pass as unedited. You can apply lip color, enhance the shape of the lips, whiten teeth, and change the size of teeth. There’s also an option to alter the size, shape, and color of your eyes. The nose can be altered wider or more narrow (pinches the bridge of the nose, in between the eyes). Blemish tools are available for acne, scars, and beauty marks. Again, when slightly retouched no one would know the selfie has been edited.
The lip size feature only applies ‘lipstick’ beyond the lip line (similar to overdrawn lips). This is extremely noticeable unless you choose zero opaqueness.
Altering the eye shape takes time and some artistic skill if your eyes aren’t shaped exactly like the default eye editing tool.
Overall this a great selfie editing app for those who edit selfies!

SelfieEditor is okay, it has general filters, auto retouch, hair colors (it would be nice to have more colors tho), the downside is that it doesn't auto detect the hair, as well as doesn’t detect many other things. The undo button is missing on some modes, so it would be great to add those ex: hair color, I kept messing up and had to go back to eraser then erased too much so had to go back to color mode.. it was a bit of a hassle. Other wise it’s an okay app for simple retouches.

If your really into editing your photos, this is a fun app. After playing with it for a while you can change pretty much everything about your self. Your eyes, hair, facial sizing, etc. I feel like it’s hair color option helps you visualize what you would look like with a specific color more so than some of the filters that I’ve used and I have almost black hair. Not sure if I would use it enough to warrant paying the 4.99 weekly but like I said if you like editing it’d be worth it.

I like SelfieEditor in that it is easy to use and very accessible. I really don’t like that you have to pay a subscription price every month but if you have the money then, please, do so. I like all the color choices and the auto shape feature. Then, you also get to reshape all the contours of your face yourself to as well. I haven’t ran into any ads yet while using it, so I can’t tell you whether or not to use it. Some apps are ads alcoholic and some aren’t. SelfieEditor is pretty straight forward on how to use it or good with directions. So, would I recommend this to someone…..I would but I think people can get more use out of this if it were free without a subscription price tag on it. Thanks!

Good because SelfieEditor works good
Fake because they give you the option to share SelfieEditor with your contacts in order to get the premium version of SelfieEditor for free.. premium in this case means like pro or no ads or all the features for free ..
I did share the link and many of my contacts installed SelfieEditor and they are using it as well as me, but i find no the way to eliminate the adds neither i can unlock all the features.. so it is asking me to try it for 3 days and after that they will start charging $4.99 a month.
I will uninstall it ..
if this were just ONE TIME payment .. I would buy it.. but monthly.. it doesn’t worth it... not for me!
by Kmb.11
I had enjoyed SelfieEditor until I upgraded and I am constantly being asked to pay for it again. I’ve spent the whole morning trying to reach out to support and continually get an error when trying to email. For a company that continuously wants to get paid after purchase you would think they would have a better support team. Especially considering this is not the first time I’ve had to report to them they have been paid for SelfieEditor . Good luck hope no one else and count is the ongoing issues I have with SelfieEditor.

Even though I’m deleting SelfieEditor, I don’t think it’s bad. I was able to smooth out creases, cover up pimples, round out my nose, whiten my teeth, and brighten my eyes. But after editing my selfies, I would post them. My friends would leave comments like,”You’re so beautiful! This doesn’t even look like you, though.” I was able to find out that my pimples and my big nose and my creases are what make me me. I don’t want to cover those things up anymore. I don’t think anyone should feel the need to. If I’m going to take a picture of myself, I want it to be of myself. Not some edited, photoshopped person.
by Mrsoli27
SelfieEditor is a great editor! It definitely makes your pictures look great. The only problem is that it tries to rope you into spending money. It doesn’t distinguish which features cost money and which are free and it isn’t clear how to get back where you were when it prompts you to pay. For someone who doesn’t want to spend money on an app, this was frustrating. I might use it occasionally but I probably won’t use it a ton.
by Amethyst281
I like SelfieEditor for editing pics but it would be better if I wasn’t asked to upgrade immediately upon downloading SelfieEditor . I want to just use an app with options to see if I want to pay myself. It would be nice to be given a preview of what the pic would looks like using the upgraded features, even if there was a watermark while we were previewing. That way if we liked it and wanted watermark removed we could pay to upgrade.

This selfie editor is amazing. It has everything you would want in a selfie editor. Teeth whitening, acne or blemishes removing, lip color, eye sharpness and so much more. But the one thing is that a lot of the times I finish using a tool and I press done, it logs me out. So I think “okay, I’ll just go back on and finish.” But no. The whole app restarts and I loose my progress on a selfie. I don’t know if it is my phone or SelfieEditor , but this has never happened before. Please fix.

This is amazing app and loves it. Best selfie camera and takes perfect selfies ! Selfie editor was one of the very first photo editing apps I ever downloaded it. The editing options in FaceTune offer more flexibility, detail and the uses has more control over the strength of the effects. It takeaway everything that made the original great. Highly recommend SelfieEditor.
by Madworld730
I have a subscription to Adobe CC 19, and though I’m still learning all of its features, SelfieEditor gives off Adobe-like vibes. I appreciate the tutorial offered for each editing tool- the how to use is very helpful. The smoothing tool is pretty flawless (I have freckles, large pores on my forehead and cheekbones, and uneven color since having my 2nd child) that clear instantly with this feature.

This is a amazing app. SelfieEditor has some amazing features. Using SelfieEditor makes basic photos look like they are professional. Then have a good range of features to choose from. I have used many similar app on my iPhone like facetune, Beauty photo editor but this is the best app. I enjoy a lot because there was no bugs or crash issue. Really this makeup app is so great. Thanks for SelfieEditor.

I went to the pumpkin patch with my friends. Took a few selfies here and there. One photo in particular my teeth looked super yellow. I needed an app to fix that real quick. Looked on SelfieEditor Store and came across this one. I recommend it has a bit of everything from, filters, to teeth whitening, spot correction. It's a simple app and showed get the job done. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

There isn’t a single feature that SelfieEditor doesn’t provide. You do literally anything you want when editing your photos; The options are ENDLESS! I finally finished my first edited photo and I am just blown away by all the photo-edit features there are on this single app!
If you like to edit your photos, this is a must get!
by Xdude369
SelfieEditor was very easy to use and had a simple to navigate ui. I like the effects you can choose from in the facetune category and how to make yourself to more attractive. I also like how you can choose to use the selfie camera or the rear facing one to take the photos. Overall its a very simple and easy to use photo editing app that I recommend.
by TeenyLovesU
This is my favorite free facetune app! I especially enjoy the timer function on the selfie camera, as it is very useful. I know that, when I use SelfieEditor, my pictures will come out looking flawless. One improvement I would like is for the sliders to automatically update the picture as I move them around, but I’ve gotten used to it and am practically an expert now!
