My family played the Museum Exit game and not only was it ridiculously difficult to play in the beginning, but it was also missing key parts of the game which made it literally impossible to complete. The clue that was supposed to be on the box was nowhere to be seen and the instructions were overall very unclear. The game we played was infuriating, but the ambient immersive background noise was nice. Wish I could get my $25 dollars and 3 hours back, but oh well. Don’t buy Kosmos Exit games.

Trying to begin our first Exit Game: Sorry Flight and, after spending 15 minutes waiting for the Story Flight content to download, we found it only contained a brief description and no timer or soundtrack. Haven’t started the game but very disappointed with KOSMOSHelperApp. KOSMOSHelperApp did say this was a recently added game so hopefully this will get corrected quickly, for future gamers.

After trying to understand the complex paper rule book to this “fun game”, we tried to download the 100MB app just to learn how to play. Then had to download another 32MB file just for our specific game. That didn’t play. So turned off all other apps to try to get it to work. Still didn’t work. So tried rebooting my phone, again it didn’t work. The best fun of this game was throwing it in the TRASH! That was super fun.

I’m about to play my 2nd “EXIT the game” game and while read the pamphlet I saw they have an app witch advertised a digital timer with atmospheric soundtrack. I was very excited, however, there was no soundtrack. I read all the great reviews of people enjoying the soundtrack and I’m super frustrated that I can’t figure out how to use the soundtrack if it even exists. Definitely do not like KOSMOSHelperApp , however, I do 100% love the games I own five I’ve played two of them.

After pressing the play button for the intro video, nothing happened. I could press pause, but nothing ever started playing. The timer did start.
The mini games were…uninteresting. I was hoping for something that would be like anything I’ve experienced in an EXIT game. Nope.
Perhaps it will work for other versions of other games. We’ve done almost all the EXIT games save two or three, but this was the first time wi through the atmospheric soundtrack would be nice. That wasn’t even offered for this game version
Disappointing product from a company whose EXIT games have made our pandemic experience much more enjoyable due to the challenging fun for the whole family.

I love the EXIT games and I’ve done almost all of them by now and we always use KOSMOSHelperApp while we play to enhance the experience and I do really like that part. What I don’t understand is why KOSMOSHelperApp doesn’t save your data so you can go back and see how many stars/how long it took/how many clue cards you used. Or maybe even a little note section where you can jot your thoughts after the game. Just seems like a big missed opportunity.

We really like these games and we use the timer. I think KOSMOSHelperApp really adds to the ambiance. I like that KOSMOSHelperApp calculates your score for you. If only it would save the scores for each game. How hard would it be to have KOSMOSHelperApp save the game scores? Just use space in the phone memory if you don’t want to store it for us.

I love playing Exit the game and have done several. KOSMOSHelperApp adds great ambience!

However there is a glaring issue. Once we finish the game and get our score, we get a page with three options: Share, Back, and the Home button. There is no way to save our data and score with these options. We can share it (data is not saved), go back and select how many hints we used (data is not saved) or hit the home button in which a screen pops up saying that we won’t be able to save our data if we continue and leave the game. We can choose to go back to the previous screen with the options that get us nowhere. Hmmm. This is a big issue if I want to save my scores in KOSMOSHelperApp along with the games I have already played. Is there anyway I can save my scores?

It would be cool to have an option for the timer to go without the built in soundtrack, that way I could play my own music from my phone as we play the game, but still, the built in soundtrack was okay and added to the ambiance.

UPDATE DECEMBER 7th, 2022:

I turned my phone off and then turned it back on again. Went back into KOSMOSHelperApp Store and was able to successfully download the most recent update for KOSMOSHelperApp.

Here on December 7th, 2022, the latest App Store update for KOSMOSHelperApp doesn’t install. It just hangs and won’t install. When I click the square button inside the circle to stop it, that doesn’t do anything either. Not sure what’s going on, but the update is not installing or working correctly at all.

These games are our favorite. We have done a few and have more purchased waiting to be played. KOSMOSHelperApp is just kinda ok though. We enjoy the timer and ambient music however, it feels like there’s more that could be done with KOSMOSHelperApp to make it more interactive (be able to click on “next page” perhaps for slightly different music or effects. Heck we would probably pay a small app fee for it. Would be fun to see it expanded!

I think KOSMOSHelperApp is convenient but if there could eventually be an option to track the games you played along with the score.

I would love if KOSMOSHelperApp would save my score and had the statement on the back of the direction pamphlet to fill out in KOSMOSHelperApp .

I really enjoy the EXIT games and the timer and music really adds an extra element to the game. The only thing I can think of that would make it even better is if we could store our scores and use it as a way of tracking which ones we have played and when.

KOSMOSHelperApp walks a group of players through game play in a simple with excellent instructions format. We found it was excellent after we had read through the instruction book and played a couple of rounds of the game before hand. Helped to answer a few questions that came up during our initial game play. Excellent resource and a explanation.

I used this while playing the Mysterious Museum and it worked great! I love the background music as well as how it grades how many stars you get! The instructions were clear and well written. I will definitely be using this again!

Soundtracks added to the overall fun and atmosphere!! We have already played through the castle, orient express, and Egypt exit rooms. Can’t wait for the next one!

Fyi: If your phone is on silent mode, you have to turn that feature off in order to hear the music. Turning your volume up or down while on silent mode will do nothing. Took me a moment to figure it out :))

My family, friends and I have enjoyed many of these cooperative adventures and puzzle solving during holiday get togethers. When I think that they can only be played once, I like to compare the value to the cost of going out to the movies or other such events.

Ignore the negative reviews, developers have obviously fixed any bugs that existed before. I downloaded KOSMOSHelperApp and loaded my game within 2 minutes. The instructions provided within KOSMOSHelperApp were very helpful, and the in-app music provided a great atmosphere.

Used this for the Exit escape games. I love that it isn’t a requirement for the games but just adds some nice sound affects and the timer. I did see some people said the sound doesn’t work for them. The phone cannot be on silent or the music doesn’t play. The only thing I would like to add to KOSMOSHelperApp is storing your time and stars so you can go back in KOSMOSHelperApp and see how well you did.

The ap is perfectly made to help instruct players to set up the "game boards" and keep track for you. I play their Exit Games a lot with my friends, and it has been a wonderful assist with very clear instructions for even newcomers.

UPDATE: PROBLEM FIXED!!!

I downloaded KOSMOSHelperApp today to use the music while our family played. And for some reason after it says it has downloaded, the features do not appear! KOSMOSHelperApp just says there are no features! We were really looking forward to having the ambience!

It has tutorials,mini games (though I couldn’t get the middle shield to work in the second mini game). I also use the “ my games” section to keep track of which games I have.

I started playing these exit games about a year ago. I just recently discovered it had an app. And I just played it with KOSMOSHelperApp timing me and I was very pleased with the fact that it kept time and caps score.

This companion is awesome to have with the card game. We are escape room addicts and this game has been our favorite and we’ve played a lot of card/board escape room games.

Plus I love how you can post your results.

I love these types of games and in fact that this is free makes it more fun. Yes you have to pay for the game but I’m really happy that you don’t have to pay for this.

I’ve only used KOSMOSHelperApp for two EXIT games so far, but both times, the timer, the ambience, and the scoring have made the play more enjoyable.

And I appreciate the fact that it’s possible to play the games without KOSMOSHelperApp , but that KOSMOSHelperApp just makes them a little better.
