For the past couple of months now, I’ve been getting constant anxiety over our regular news headlines. I thought that by downloading an app solely dedicated to good news, I’d finally be able to see what good news there was in the world. While most of the stories on GoodNewsNetwork are definitely heartwarming and eased my anxiety a bit, there are some issues I have. Mainly, there are just some topics that I was hoping I would never see on GoodNewsNetwork. However, not only do they show up, but there seems to be a bias toward favoring one side over the other. While I actually agreed with some of these stances, I’m very disappointed because I wanted something that didn’t take any clear stances on controversial issues. All I wanted was stories about great news without any sort of conflict. Now I might have to look elsewhere.

Whether you need a news break or a more balanced information diet, these true and relevant stories that you won’t normally hear are funny and/or uplifting. Some critique that it is biased, but I don’t think so. Unless you think helping the environment or those in need and stories of peace are bad news, it is full of good news with an inspiring daily quote and good news in history. Free!
Please consider offering a paid version without ads because they are very annoying.

I used to review my news feed apps 10-20 times a day. I got sick of being angry with our politicians and hearing about Middle East violence so at the beginning of the year I deleted my news apps. Now when I feel the need to check in with the world I see what’s on the Good News Network. I really appreciate the positive stories and think we would all be better off without the incredibly negative news cycle from the main stream. Thank you to the good news network for your efforts!!

Every once in a while, we need to step out of the abyss of mainstream news networks, that only seem to report the shocking, horrible, and overwhelmingly negative. While staying with the current events is important, we need to be reminded that it isn't all that bad. This news network provides. It gives us true stories that can warm your heart and reinvigorate you with a sense that all is not lost. There is definitely good left in the world.

Most of the news would have you believe that nothing good happens in the world but GoodNewsNetwork is different. Each news story is uplifting and the stories are worldwide, not just from America and on a wide variety of topics. I also like the good news from history on this day, especially for birthdays. Every time I read these articles I feel happy and encouraged. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because I no longer get notifications after I updated my phone and I really miss them.

I love GoodNewsNetwork and the whole notion of good news news, but recently I’ve noticed an increase in the number articles or notations about celebrities, particularly in “On This Day”. I’d be fine with that if it was balanced with articles or notations about other people who have made great contributions to humanity in fields other than the arts or sports.

And by the way, your app has no method for providing feedback of any sorts.

Main Stream Media is filled with fear mongering, bad news, and left me feeling anxious and down. Sound familiar? After deleting all my social media accounts, turning off the news, and only reading the good news network I have felt my daily mood improve significantly!! Fantastic app! Everyone DESERVES some good news today. Do yourself a favor, you won’t regret it.

When I was younger I used to be someone that had unyielding faith in people and their boundless potential for goodness. As I grew up, the world around me seemed intent on force feeding me only the bad things that happened in the world and gradually my opinion began to change. The stories shown here are helping me to regain a youthful perspective I thought I'd lost years ago. Thanks GNN for all the great news!

GoodNewsNetwork itself is OK though it needs a widget. But the bigger problem is that too many of the stories are fluff akin to “Firemen save old lady’s cat from tree” or they miss the bigger picture, so something like “Town raises money for girl’s operation” isn’t good as it really means society failed to provide medical care. Given how crappy the world is right now, to make me feel better I need good news stories about *consequential* things.

I love the premise of this organization and the news stories, but lately the number of click ads has made the content virtually unreadable. This is a recent problem. You don’t even have to actually touch an ad for it to open- you can just be “close enough” it seems. I “opened” (but I never touched them) over a dozen ads just reading stories this morning when I finally gave up out of frustration.
So much for Good News making me feel good.

GoodNewsNetwork is exactly what I need in today’s world. Good news stories restore my faith in humanity! However, there is one issue with GoodNewsNetwork itself.

If you scroll down the list of stories and select one, when you are done reading the story and back out to the main screen, it resets you to the top of the list and you have to scroll all the way down and find where you were again.

Fix this, and it’s 5 stars all the way!

I absolutely love GoodNewsNetwork and share it with my friends and neighbors almost everyday! It’s helping to keep me sane and balanced while we deal with everything from the incompetent President to the Trump mini-me who is currently Governor of Florida. This network has helped restore my faith in humanity.

This used to be a good app with positive news. It still has only positive news but you can clearly tell either that they are finally showing their true agenda or have been taken over by globalists and corporations. Now, a majority of the good news stories are about “random people” (shills) doing things help push the climate change agenda or about globalist corporations who are making huge “donations” (washing money) to socialist causes. Just like with almost every news app...true colors will show if given enough time

Thank you for making this wonderful app. I like to stay current and other news outlets are full of dreadful stories and it was really getting me down. GoodNewsNetwork reports the good things people are doing on fighting climate change and being just decent to each other. I needed this antidote. All is not lost.

We just need to give it more of our attention. 😉Our focus on the overwhelmingly negative or hopeless needs to shift so that we create a better reality! I’m constantly on my phone and was getting tired of the drag social media had on my mood. GoodNewsNetwork was the PERFECT replacement! Well written articles (~5/day) that are so positive and uplifting. Also, because there’s a limited number published/day, it’s not a huge time sink. 10/10 recommend.

There has always been so much bad news on news outlets and social media. Now, more than ever, we need good news. I am so glad GoodNewsNetwork is providing more stories in the past week then it has in a long time. We need good news right now. Please keep providing it to us!

I don't watch the news on TV or read it anywhere. Why? It's too depressing. It's ALL bad news, nothing good or pleasant to hear/read. I was so happy to find GoodNewsNetwork. I look at it everyday and love it. And writing a review is something I don't normally do but GoodNewsNetwork deserves it.

I was feeling overwhelmed following the traditional news focusing only on all the negative things in the world. I find that starting my day with the Good news app really frames it up to start more positively! The world is full of so much more good than bad and it’s important to focus on that.

App is just okay, not a lot of articles each day and the most annoying thing ever, pop up ads that take over your screen, I simply cannot stand these things. Pop up ads are the absolute worst and they are now showing up on a news app? Ridiculous

Imagine a major American liberal news organization (e.g. CNN) minus the shrill partisan bias and sensational/hysterical reporting of bad news. That would be the Good News Network. It's still as partisan as CNN but not as overt or shrill. They heavily push the political Global Warming agenda and every other left wing cause but with spoonfuls of sugar. They even sneak in their contempt of heartland America with "heart-warming" stories like a man "escaping" a sleepy "religious" southern town. To be fair, there are some good news stories to be found but sift carefully.
