This used to be a good app with positive news. It still has only positive news but you can clearly tell either that they are finally showing their true agenda or have been taken over by globalists and corporations. I love the premise of this organization and the news stories, but lately the number of click ads has made the content virtually unreadable. This is a recent problem. You don’t even have to actually touch an ad for it to open- you can just be “close enough” it seems. I “opened” (but I never touched ... Show more them) over a dozen ads just reading stories this morning when I finally gave up out of frustration.
So much for Good News making me feel good.

For the past couple of months now, I’ve been getting constant anxiety over our regular news headlines. I thought that by downloading an app solely dedicated to good news, I’d finally be able to see what good news there was in the world. While most of the stories on GoodNewsNetwork are definitely h... Show more eartwarming and eased my anxiety a bit, there are some issues I have. Mainly, there are just some topics that I was hoping I would never see on GoodNewsNetwork. However, not only do they show up, but there seems to be a bias toward favoring one side over the other. While I actually agreed with some of these stances, I’m very disappointed because I wanted something that didn’t take any clear stances on controversial issues. All I wanted was stories about great news without any sort of conflict. Now I might have to look elsewhere.

GoodNewsNetwork itself is OK though it needs a widget. But the bigger problem is that too many of the stories are fluff akin to “Firemen save old lady’s cat from tree” or they miss the bigger picture, so something like “Town raises money for girl’s operation” isn’t good as it really means society ... Show more failed to provide medical care. Given how crappy the world is right now, to make me feel better I need good news stories about *consequential* things.

GoodNewsNetwork is exactly what I need in today’s world. Good news stories restore my faith in humanity! However, there is one issue with GoodNewsNetwork itself.

If you scroll down the list of stories and select one, when you are done reading the story and back out to the main screen, it ... Show more resets you to the top of the list and you have to scroll all the way down and find where you were again.

Fix this, and it’s 5 stars all the way!

App is just okay, not a lot of articles each day and the most annoying thing ever, pop up ads that take over your screen, I simply cannot stand these things. Pop up ads are the absolute worst and they are now showing up on a news app? Ridiculous

Most of the news would have you believe that nothing good happens in the world but GoodNewsNetwork is different. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because I no longer get notifications after I updated my phone and I really miss them.

I was feeling overwhelmed following the traditional news focusing only on all the negative things in the world. I find that starting my day with the Good news app really frames it up to start more positively! The world is full of so much more good than bad and it’s important to focus on that.

Whether you need a news break or a more balanced information diet, these true and relevant stories that you won’t normally hear are funny and/or uplifting. Please consider offering a paid version without ads because they are very annoying.

There has always been so much bad news on news outlets and social media. Now, more than ever, we need good news. I am so glad GoodNewsNetwork is providing more stories in the past week then it has in a long time. We need good news right now. Please keep providing it to us!

I’m constantly on my phone and was getting tired of the drag social media had on my mood. GoodNewsNetwork was the PERFECT replacement! I don't watch the news on TV or read it anywhere. Why? It's too depressing. It's ALL bad news, nothing good or pleasant to hear/read. I was so happy to find GoodNewsNetwork. Thank you for making this wonderful app. I like to stay current and other news outlets are full of dreadful stories and it was really getting me down. Main Stream Media is filled with fear mongering, bad news, and left me feeling anxious and down. Sound familiar? Every once in a while, we need to step out of the abyss of mainstream news networks, that only seem to report the shocking, horrible, and overwhelmingly negative. I used to review my news feed apps 10-20 times a day. I got sick of being angry with our politicians and hearing about Middle East violence so at the beginning of the year I deleted my news apps. Imagine a major American liberal news organization (e.g. CNN) minus the shrill partisan bias and sensational/hysterical reporting of bad news. That would be the Good News Network.
