Great unless you sync

Wallet was great for two years with manual input then I decided to sync with my banks/credit cards and that was a terrible idea. Half of them didn’t sync which was fine, I understand syncing doesn’t work perfectly all the time so I reached out to support to ask if there was a master list of connections with issues to see if my accounts were affected so I wouldn’t have to bother support every time there was an issue. This was the second terrible idea. Before I heard back from them I noticed another issue and asked about it. Neither of these questions were answered, ever. I suggested possible reasons for these things happening and it became really clear to me fast they weren’t actually reading the issues. They would give solutions to problems I didn’t have and generally, it turned me off to the whole app. I unsycned all my accounts and got rid of the subscription. Support might just be overworked but Wallet just isn’t worth it if response time is slow AND my issues get ignored.

Best app I’ve found so far

I’ve been looking for an app that works as a ledger, provides stats to help with budgeting and allows me to track weekly/monthly bills. This one does almost everything. I created an account for my credit card with a negative balance. I love how I can select transfer from my checking account to the cc account and only have to make one entry, as it will show the entry on both accounts accurately. I’ve been using Wallet in combination with BillOrganizer and it helps me tremendously keep up with payments and upcoming payments. Here are a few recommendations that I would love to see with WalletApp:
1. Keep navigation bar at the bottom of window on all screens so you can easily navigate to home
2. Allow editing or creation of new categories. Currently you can only add a sub category to one of the existing categories.
3. Add a field to the account types loans and credit cards for interest rate. It would be cool if the interest could be calculated automatically each month an added as a record for you.
4. For loans and credit card type accounts, add a field to collect payment due date and send notification reminders before and on due date.

Overall, really cool app and is by far the best one of found for keeping up with my account balances.

Great app, some flaws

I actually like Wallet a lot to begin with. It had all the bank accounts I have including target and venmo. The design is great, has all the features I want in a financing app.

So I purchased the lifetime plan. Literally the day I purchased the plan, my target card never got connected. My 2 other credit accounts kept going out of sync and requested reconnection. Reconnecting is the most hideous thing ever & when I have to do this each time I log on, I wonder the reason why I even use Wallet. I really want to use Wallet, but this reconnecting is literally the worst!

There are also some things you can’t do in the IOS version which you can do on other devices or on the web. For example, you can submit rules on your chrome, but not on the IOS app. I also can’t change the frequency of a planned payment after initializing it on Wallet .

Feature request

First of all highly recommend to purchase premium features!. Wallet is far better than others. I used all the other apps on the market and this one is my final choice.

Overall best app. But it would be even better if We can add and customize stats dashboards on ios as it is on web app and if there was a chance to choose multiple accounts to filter out dashboard reports on web app and finally this would be great if you put an email for support and feature requests to web app, at least I couldn’t find it.

Thank you!

Missing Key Features

The only thing going for Wallet is that you can add multiple accounts. It would be great if the balance would change underneath or of to the side as you entered a new entry. I would also like to be able to highlight an entry as I’m comparing entries to my bank account. Finally, Planned Payments should be automatically entered on the date set. As this payments are automatically withdrawn from my bank account each month. Unless I misunderstood the meaning of planned payments? That’s the whole point, I don’t want to have to go back and have to approved them.

The whole point of downloading this app is to be able to compare to bank accounts. Wallet is missing this key feature. I get lost looking at my phone and computer trying to figure out what entries I missed or are incorrect.

Has Potential

Wallet has the potential to be great. It has a great design the user nav is simple in Wallet & browser, but once I finally got my bank account connected I fell flat on my face. I couldn’t figure out if it could pull old records to see past trends or know if it was only moving forward. I went to create an account with just CSV files I downloaded from my bank & called it “Other” in hopes that I could start working with some data. However I couldn’t get past the import section. I even edited the headers & separated data out in the CSV file. However, I kept getting the “There’s data in an unusual format” message & it kept telling me to check Row 3 🙄 When I clicked “Help” the page failed to load & said they were working on it. I’m just not sure what to do at this point other than get the money back for the paid portion & look elsewhere.

Great app, but it’s been very slow for a couple months.

I enjoy using Wallet just to track what I spend and see where I can save and stuff, but over the past month or two, it’s been extremely slow to open.

I usually have to close Wallet , reopen, and pray that it’ll open quickly and not give me that loading screen for a good 2-3 minutes.

I’m not sure what’s happening, but it’s been extremely annoying that I’m not able to add an expense when I’m on the go (and thus, resorts to me not having the time to fully use all of its features such as putting the category of expense it is, adding a note, etc). I don’t know if this is an individual problem, but I’ve tried to wait for updates and so far they have not been successful in fixing my problem.

Heartbreaking…

I REALLY want(ed) to enjoy Wallet, but—in its current state—it is completely unusable. Usually, free trials are supposed to get someone hooked on a service to keep them engaged with it, but that is not the case here.

At first, I was really excited about Wallet because is was EXACTLY what I searching for in all aspects—full-featured, ad free, beautiful UI/UX, great price—but that feeling didn’t last very long. After syncing an account, I was able to really dig deep into Wallet , going through every tab and feature. I then decided to sync another account… no problem. Then, on the third, I kept receiving an error message (and, yes, it was a compatible account from the main list). For about two days, the other accounts stayed in tact—but, on the third day, they disconnected and never re-connected. I tried periodically for another day… and, nothing.

I contacted support SEVERAL times over the next few days, and—even till this day—have heard nothing from them at all. Non-existent.

So, my free trial has been wasted, I’ve received no response from support, and — unless something changes — I’ll have to research for another app with the specific feature-set I want (which has been pretty hard to do).

#1 to my heart ! Amazing

I just love the unlimited features. I have mastered the picture of my wealth in a few short sessions loading my info into Wallet . It’s a must have. I can’t speak highly enough to express my praise for Wallet. And I’ve only had it like 4 days. I bought the premium within like the first 8 minutes of using Wallet because i knew i needed it and how great of an app it really is. It’s simplicity, its form, its layout, its calculating abilities, its options for personalization are crazy!

Hope they roll back the new update

The new multi-selection feature just ruined Wallet for me, maybe it’s just a bug, but the multi-select should only appear when i hold click a record and not every time i scroll down anywhere that shows the whole records. and you can’t edit the whole record, just labels and categories. the only way to access and edit is through clicking an account and scrolling down to the record i need to edit, and if it’s not very recent, you click show more and then you’re back to the new version with the multi-select feature. basically no way to edit old records now.

Wallet was a top 5 stars to me, and this update just ruined everything good about it..

Disappointing

After many complaints and requests for a fix with no solution I gave up on this app and walked away although I did make the purchase and that’s why I held out. Honestly the amount of times they have issues with bank sync and the fact that transactions are out of wack with the gap between when it goes down and finally comes back up months later.. it’s hard be financially smart with Wallet.

I gave up and tried other apps. I recommend Personal Capital for investors and advance users and for just about everyone I highly recommend Mint. Mint revamped their design and reminds me of this app just 100x better and is very user friendly.

Wish you did better with your app this app and customer service. It’s time for me to give up on Wallet and move on.

Used to love this app

I have been using Wallet for years. It really helps me to keep track of my spending and budget. I manually add my income and purchases and I have never had a problem with what I report reflecting what’s in my bank account. Except lately Wallet has been off sometimes by whole dollar amounts and now it has taking to adding its own transactions to your report that make tracking really confusing. I don’t need a record of ‘financial expenses’ on my main expenses report. I’m aware of how much I’ve spent over the last week, month, year. Please revise/remove this feature and work out the bugs and I’ll be back to loving Wallet.

Useless as an account consolidator

I primarily purchased this tool to serve as an account aggregator for my many accounts. It took forever to set up and then dumped all of my custom settings. Wallet does not play well with any of my banks platforms and as such i must manually log in every time and often it takes several attempts to do so. If you are going to use Wallet plan on manually downloading activity from your financial institutions to your pc and then uploading from your pc to your app. Even the premier version is troublesome. I can do everything Wallet does with an Excel spreadsheet. Disappointing waste of money. I now understand why the lifetime subscription was so cheap. Got my money before I knew it would not deliver promised functionality.

Loving it so far; a few suggestions

Let me start by saying that Wallet is exactly what I was looking for. My wife and I need to get a picture of where our money is going currently before we try to set up a budget, so bringing in transactions from all our accounts are great. I'm really glad it works with Deutsche Bank here in Germany, but also can do USD-based accounts that we still have in the US.

I'm still going through and doing the initial classification stuff so far. A couple of suggestions based on that:
- The Accounts page keeps losing my place! It's annoying to have to scroll back down from October to July after editing a July transaction.
- (Previous complaint about search/bulk edit resolved by looking at the Support website!)
- Why no support for keyboards other than the Apple ones? Specifically wondering about Gboard. It makes sense for entering usernames and passwords, maybe, but not when editing item/account names or descriptions.

No account No problem

Really can't say enough good stuff about Wallet - it's everything I needed and fully customisable. Allows me to set a budget and then record transactions against it (simple) and doesn't require me to connect to a bank account. Stylish and fun to use - I especially like how personalised I was able to make it with my own categories and tags. I get the feeling that I'm only using about 10% of its features but that's okay - Wallet can clearly adapt to my future needs.

Great but needs just a bit more to be amazing

Wallet is actually great. However it’s a bit sad to see that it needs so little to be perfect. There are some minor issues with logging out occasionally and some budget calculations seem to not work properly. Adding some more categories could be helpful (not subcategories) and entering records could be slightly smoother. Other than that, I would recommend Wallet to anyone.

By

Just about perfect!

Wallet so far has most features I have been looking for as a budgeting app. Very easy to track my bills, budget, and checking/savings balances in one place. It would be nice if the budget would total all my budgets at the top. Instead I have to add them up myself to see my planned monthly spending. This seems like it would be an easy fix. Goals and savings goals would be a nice added feature. Until then I will use the free feature and upgrade once we have some minor upgrades.

currency and categories

great app... hope that the default currency can be change when traveling so that it will show the local currency on the balance trend other than the converted currency. Categories are same of what i want but i like to add one more which is Health. i rename life & Entertainment as Entertainment only and i want a Health category for medicines, doctors etc. because i want to have a budget for Entertainment separate to Health. i dont wnt them combine because for me they are not the same. Thanks and godbless to your team for creating a good app.

Great app only if it connects to the banks

I really love the UX so paid for lifetime plan, but the connection is always buggy. I own accounts from 5 different banks and never had once that this app app connected all of my accounts without having any problems at once. If one gets fixed, the other one’s having issue, once it gets fixed, now the other one is getting issue again. I’ve kind of ignored having Wallet for couple months and trying to check my account, now none of my bank accounts can be reconnected. I know that we may need to reconnect periodically, but when I tried to reconnect all of my accounts, none of them were able to reconnect.

By

Great so far

I love Wallet so far. I will most likely purchase once my trial is over. Once you get the hang of setting it all up it works great. I prefer to do all manual transactions, so I was happy to see Wallet offers that (a lot out there don’t!). I am doing 4 stars only because I wish there was a way to see cleared and uncleared balances when going to an account. Unless I am missing a setting, I don’t see where to see that. Other than that, Wallet is great with tracking purchases and staying in budget!

the app that i like the best

i've been testing and trying several budget app, but this is the one that i like the best. it's easy to use, has a beautiful interface, it can handle multiple currency, and we can have several account (3 for the free version) which i found very useful when you have more than one card or when you use multiple currency regularly. the feature that i like the most? the statistic. i know the amount i spent for this and that, but when it's shown on a chart, i have a better vision about it.

but there are things that i wish they can do differently:

clickable categories. i hate it when i check my overall spending then when i want to check certain category, i need to go to the overall transaction.
calculator instead of regular number keyboard, so you can count as you enter the data.
i use three different currencies and i'd love it if i can change the exchange rate manually everytime i input the data because, well, it's always change.
it would be better if i can see the total from EACH currency i have instead of all but in the default currency.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work

It worked just fine for about 15 days. After I purchased the yearly plan, it stopped syncing with my Wells Fargo account.
I filed a bug within Wallet ’s own report center, even got a response asking if it started working again, but no luck.
At this point I already tried several things like deleting the account and trying to sync it again, but no luck so far.
Wallet is great, don't get me wrong, but since I paid the yearly plan and it stopped working right after, I’ll give it this one star. I’ll be paying this non working app for the next 11 months.
If it start working again, I will definitely change to a 5 star, overall Wallet is nice (when it works).

No iPad support

When I open Wallet on my iPad Air I get a black screen with Wallet in a smaller screen on the center. I would really appreciate the convenience of having a larger screen to work with and leverage the functionality it would provide.
Also, the plus symbol that lets you add a new record is right on top of the three dots “more” symbol, making it extremely hard to access the new record form. It only works in portrait mode.
Wallet generally speaking, in spite of the device related issues, is the best I have ever tried, therefore it really should be able to support iPad users.

I need money back

Hi Citibank has discontinued direct connect. That means the bank you guys “support” which is the feature I paid for (premium) is not there. I’ve reported several times about this problem and they only got back to me once. That is not good customer service. I need my money back now.

Update**
I wrote to the developers team many times but they still haven’t given me my money back. This is not okay.

By

Can’t use it if you can’t open it

I like that Wallet has helped me become more conscious of my spending habits and able to find ways to cut back. I took off stars because I have major issues getting Wallet to open; it used to require me to open it, close it, then reopen it to actually use Wallet (which is already tedious), but now it stays on the loading screen and I haven’t been able to get into Wallet to actually track my income and expenses for several days. Please fix this bug!

By

Pretty good app

I’ve been using Wallet for over a year while hiking across South America and I enjoy its simple design. There was an update which lost all my data and when I tried to file for help it just kept sending me emails but no fix. So I started over and then Wallet decided my base currency was BOB instead of USD. So I am on my third and final uninstall/reinstall and hoping I can get back to my tailor made budget categories in currencies I am actually using.

By

Good app

An online chat buddy recommended Wallet for me after I mentioned that I needed help keeping track of my expenses. I love using Wallet so far and find it extremely useful in keeping track of how much money I actually have in my bank. One thing that would make Wallet even better would be if we could set up recurring transactions

By

Great budget app with some flaws

Pros:
-Great design. Looks iOS native.
-Easy to use and not bloated with useless features.
-Bank sync works great.
-Can import OFX and CSV flies via the web interface.
-Good visualization options without being overwhelming.
-Lots of budget options. Can set a budget for a week, a month or a year. Can have multiple budgets for different kinds of categories of spending or different tags.

Cons:
-No iPad app
-Can’t use Wallet to import OFX/CSV files. Only the website supports this.
-Pending transactions don’t show up in the transaction list until they’re no longer pending. Makes it hard to assign labels to spending right as soon as you use a card.
-No way to sort the transaction list by transaction amount.

By

Good app, needs recurring expense feature

I like Wallet, it is fairly simple to use with a nice interface and I like that you can use different currencies which makes it useful for travel.

However, would be great if you could add an option for recurring expenses!

Also, would be nice to be able to see how much I am spending v. monthly income, rather than just seeing my overall balance at the top.
