Not represented well

This company allows their own facebook group to degrade their own customers. Post a question and they remove your comments and questions. If the remarks aren’t well enough to boost the ego of the group’s administrators, they dismiss you without explanation. To make money, you must allow your customers to find answers that are not supplied in the minimal game guide. So, the game itself is ok for what it is. No waiting for buildings to mature, so once its placed it is operational but needs constant upgrades to get maximum population and effectiveness. Gets extremely redundant. Some nice buildings, some silly looking. All in all, not very realistic but not too cartoonish, so in the middle is where it lays. Searching for an item to place is a challenge. The mechanics could be made easier to navigate.
Deleted app after all this nonsense. We come to a game for fun, excitement and sometimes even some interaction with others, not company supported customer abuse

Could be much better

These games are ok but have built in limitations. The programmers only wanted to make 2 sides for every building rather than 4 sides to make it 3d. So you can’t rotate and position buildings the way you’d like which is annoying. Plus you can’t rotate the city. To make it function with half built buildings, they had to make it so you can’t rotate the city. That really limits your views, especially with skyscrapers. It makes the game much less fun. They should make the buildings complete and allow city rotation. The other big flaw is poor zoom level. You can’t zoom out and see even half your city at once. I don’t know why they would intentionally build in these visual limitations on a completely visual game. I can understand problems that would be hard to solve, like mismatched scale. But intentionally cutting the visuals by 50% and by 50% and by 50% isn’t really providing a good user experience.

Almost great

This game has massive potential to be amazing. However, if you look at the greatest city building games out there, you have the whole map immediately available. I find the purchasing of land to be a problem. It breaks up the flow of the game and repeatedly leaves me having to move my city around. Or it becomes difficult to develop a good plan around it. It’s also terrible that the expansion is 1 block outward around the map. To feel the effect of the expansion you have to completely remap your city. Finally, I feel the buildings being locked is a problem. Rather than locking buildings there should be population or monetary requirements but regardless leave them open to use. Finally, the increasing cost of placing the same building seems like a money making scam for the devs. It breaks up the aesthetics of a neighborhood or city block. This game had so much potential but there are things that feel like you’re forced to spend real money to develop your city and restrictions that make the city building clunky

Buildings

I think we need more commercial buildings that only cost money because we only have a little bit of that. And I think that we need more residentials as the same way for the same reason as a commercials, I think the development here could be a lot better, but we just need more buildings and more modern buildings not old scrappy stuff. the game is amazing. I mean, like I want more chances to upgrade more residential instead of just pay gold all the time. I like the way things are going but still wish we need more buildings so studios if you can hear me read this out to yourself. Just know that we need more buildings in this game and thank you for producing this game.

Good, But...

It’s a vey fun game and I like it however... when you check the menu to see utilities income and unemployed people and home less people, it freezes the game. Even though you can log out and log in still it is VERY annoying. If you could fix it that would be wonderful. Also I would like more houses and better graphics. I also would like a stats board. Also the feature where if you build to much of one thing it starts costing gold so if you could remove the feature it would be amazing 🤩! New Landmarks would be good too. Also please make fire health police and educational buildings have a larger radius. Special events would be a good update as well. Bridges would be good too 🌉.

Nice game

It can get a a little bit boring and seem like a job more then a game. However it’s mostly enjoyable and fills in the gaps of time.
You can build a city with no real money or spend lots of money and build it bigger and faster. I don’t spend any money so the boring factor comes into play.

Nice overall. However there are two major things that drive me nuts. #1 is that when moving around the screen with finger it always picks up a a building as if that is what I wanted. Make moving a building something you must hold finger on for maybe 2 seconds before it can be moved so scrolling the screen is easer. #2 have something that will make the building to disappear while placing road, bus stops, trams, subways, etc. It’s almost impossible to place these items when building only become somewhat transparent. That’s my nickels worth of suggestions.

Out of balance

Although the game itself is relaxing and good, there are some issues I have noticed while playing. First of all, there is not enough buildings that doesn’t repeat itself over and over again. I have never seen a city that has the same building more than once. I have 5 Empire State buildings. In reality there is only one. The second thing I notice is the scale of some buildings. For example the balmoral castle is so small compared to other buildings like a medium house. Put them together and the house should be called a castle. Again, overall it’s good just some issues I have noticed. I guess you’re suppose to fill the rest with mountains or trees.

Lots of fun, then there’s nothing left to do

I like the game a lot and find it easy to jump on and tweak my city for a few minutes here and there throughout the day. Didn’t even have a problem with the pay for play model they have as you can still enjoy the game without having to pay for anything. That said, once you get you’re city developed to a point (1.5 million population or so) there just isn’t really anything left to do. You accumulate cash super fast, which is great for converting to gold, but there’s nothing worth spending the gold on as by this point you need diamonds. Diamonds accumulate slowly and unless you want to spend $5-$10 to fill up your bank you’ll be waiting the week it takes for you to earn enough to do something. So basically once you’ve dedicated tons of time building up a city, you get to a point where there is so little to do unless you spend real money so you can get the 3-4 buildings that cost super high amounts. Bummer, as I did really enjoy this game

Perfect, except…

It is almost perfect. The only problem is that the “special” buildings are not to scale to each other. As a skyscraper lover this bothers me a lot. Also, I would like it if there was a highway system. It is not realistic if you attempt to create a “highway” system with two two lane roads that cross like regular town intersections. I think that the airport needs more realistic features. Like diagonal runways, more types of terminals, the planes need more runway distance, the planes ACTUALLY GOING TO THE TERMINAL! I don’t really see the point of adding taxiways if the planes don’t actually go on them. I also think it would be cool to make the planes different. All of them being identical is kinda Boeing.😉(see what I did there? Haha) One last thing. I thing it would be cool if you could like design your own building. Then the game would analyze it and give it a reasonable price. But it’s still my favorite game😁
One last thing, once you acquire all of the land, there should be an expansion of land.

Great game

I’ve only been playing a couple days, but this is a very cool game. I do play another city-building type game so I’m moving along pretty fast & am almost to level 20 already. I would’ve given this game 5 stars except for a couple things. First is that I just expanded my city for the first time & I don’t care for how new land is added.

A little teeny strip all around the city!? Yikes. I’d MUCH rather have small patches at a time so I don’t have to move so much stuff! Perhaps there’s a way to group & move sections that I just haven’t discovered yet. And it sure costs a lot for inventory space! I spent gold & only got one space? That’s certainly different - maybe I’m missing something? It’s a huge pain constantly moving all my trees around! Maybe there are other ways to do things & I just don’t know how yet.

Hopefully I can make friends other than thru’ Facebook. In all my other games you can make friends w/o depending upon FB, tho’ you can of course use it if you want. I canceled my FB account years ago & don’t really want to go there again, but I’d like to have some DC friends, so we’ll see.

Problem..

You should add a interstate and highway type of road, for realism. Also more houses since I have 20 of the same houses each. With land make it where you don’t have to buy any. BUT you actually can. You know where you can see that black water outside of your land boundary? When you go to the “+” icon on the bottom of your screen you can buy land from there and its 100 types. You start out with the 1st type that’s just 3 blocks through what you buy now those blocks, but on each side of the square your city holds. If the second DC has some of this than I didn’t know since I don’t play the sequel.

If you don’t understand some of my wording please tell me I ain’t a good typer.

THIS GREAT

I have been playing this game for about 3 years now and I love every part of it. The attention to detail is really good but I really wanted 2 features that I really really hope make it to a new update. I have built a highway system in my city because I wanted my city to have no traffic. But it’s getting hard to build highways when roads and over passes are just one lane. I wanted there to be an option of highways. Not only that but I also wanted to have realistic traffic. Traffic in my city is non existent. I just have to pretend I have traffic. I want there to be progressive traffic as the city’s population grows. And I want some parts of the city to have more traffic than others. Like a downtown. I have 8 million people in my city, there should be A LOT of traffic. Thank you for taking the time to view this review and a really hope you guys make these changes. You guys clearly rock and I can tell that because I see the economic accuracy across both designer city and its sequel that I played a lot on.

Needs Update

Game is fun I give it 5 stars but it needs a update on the buildings its needs some new buildings like the Sphere in Vegas it also needs situations like cops chasing cars or ambulances getting call from the citizens for help and fire fighters putting out the fire and it also needs new People walking on the streets of the City and new Cars driving around in the city. It needs a serious update on the game it needs new situations to happen everytime that happen in the city or new weather changes like floods or tsunami. The game needs Update. The game needs Update On Holiday events and Events in General add more stuff. ADD MORE GAMES JUST LIKE THE CHESS GAME ADD MORE BOARD GAMES OR ADD MINI RACING GAME GOOD QUALITY WITH SOUND. THIS GAME IS 5 STAR GAME IT JUST NEEDS MORE MINI GAMES DIFFERENT KIND.

Love it!

I have had this game for a while now, and it has been great!
I love the fact that the game considers how much resources your city has, that you’re able to build irl buildings for diamonds, the game considers employment and the demand your citizens want, and that it shows different ecology and pollution levels throughout the city.
I have a few recommendations however:
- Firstly is that the infrastructure isn’t that great. There needs to be more kinds of roads that are able to be built, such as highways. I wish there was also an ability to expand roads to four or six lanes, or to make them one ways (i.e. in a downtown area, etc.). That would make the game seem more realistic instead of seeing generic two-lane roads.
- Secondly is that I wish you could write a review of others’ cities when you finish rating them. It could show what people think is going right or wrong and how they can fix it.
- Finally is that I wish the game would show your exact number of population in the millions instead of having to calculate it.
Other than that, this game has been great! Keep it up!

The best city building experience!!!

Absolutely the best city builder game that I have been able to find. I actually find Designer City 1to be a bit more detailed and realistic than Designer City 2. Is s just better in terms of the detail on the various buildings. Also I find that the first one also has a heck of a lot more options for houses. The only downside to the first one is that the majority of the top buildings are very difficult to attain due to the diamond AND gold currency. Acquiring diamonds is actually really difficult, so that was one huge alteration from 1 to 2. Regardless, they are both awesome, and anyone who has a interest in simulation city building will love them both.👍👍👍👍

Great game

I love this game, been a big supporter for a while. Everything is great about it i just have a few things I wish could be added, realistic sizes of items, stadiums and skyscrapers being regular sizes compared to people, and also the Bellagio fountains and a lot of Las Vegas buildings to enhance my city, I love Vegas and those buildings in the game would make me spend more money and make my experience better. The only issue is just how certain things are unrealistic as an arena being bigger than a stadium, and I wish there could be more people along the roads and streets as an option to make your city look more lively and active.

Greatest Mobile Game

I love this game so much, but I’m just gonna talk about my needs. I want real skyscraper heights, as I am a skyscraper enthusiast, and editing this i just want more Vegas buildings (like a ton) I think we also need highway/ freeway systems. Honestly nothing else to say it’s a good game and just want a couple cool buildings to be added like Aon Center (LA) and like Salesforce Tower (SF) Those are all my major issues but my general piece of advice is just to make things more realistic sized, more realistic in general. I also recommend fixing the employment addition when you move buildings. Just fixing the entire employment- residential thing because it is buggy. Whenever I move a building it changes the number of employees and also adds an extra 3k even though I don’t do anything different. ALSO MAKE THE MAX WAREHOUSE SYSTEM WAY MORE!

LOVE THIS GAME BUT PLEASE CONSIDER THIS

Definitely love everything about this game, from being able to design cities and towns your way, to being able to add geographical features like mountains and streams and trees for creativity. And on top of all of that it’s a free app, very BOSS 🔥

But I do have a suggestion, I have this world and I’m level 311, and have come a long way. I’m proud of the world I have built, but I am envisioning a whole new world to create. I understand you can reset your world and even save buildings to take with you to the next world, but I love the world I already have but I want to make another. Can you make a way where you can save worlds and have more than one? This would definitely be a HUGE improvement to the game!! Even if you made it cost 0.99 or 1.99 per new world I WOULD TOTALLY BUY MULTIPLE SAVES! Something to consider and a possible way to increase revenue, thank you so much for all the hard work you guys have put into this masterpiece, one of my favorite games to play in my spare time 🙏🏽

Sandbox like City

I was looking for an app I could create my own city with. This pretty much follows that. It still creates a game like design with buildings costing money and you level up to get more kind of buildings. But it really helped that they started you with 2 million. It allowed me to make it how I wanted from the very beginning and not be slowed down having to only start with zero and can be pretty slow but since they give you such a sum you are able to buy a lot!! Made it much more interesting. This is my favorite city building app so far because it’s also simple and easy to understand.

Exquisite Game, One of a few

I been playing this game off and on since 2020, every time when I get on I notice new buildings or changes that further deepens this game, and as of now this game is amazing and perfect, however I wish the developers will make the graphics of the water better instead of having the water be whooshing around back in fourth, so to make the water mechanic better I recommend for you guys to have all the water in all of the tiles to be flowing in one direction for like 10 minutes and vice versa which is optional by the player. Or if you want, during the day night cycle you can have a tide effect where the shore line shrinks or expands as if there is a invisible moon effecting the water direction and water level. But of course if this is implemented into the game, there should be ways you can customize the water edges, for example if a player want to have a cliff rather than beach he or she can have it and vice versa. You developers can also make it that reflections can be seen in the water if enabled by the player, however that is something that I think can causes lag. But that why it should be optional by the player. Just imagine a clam beach at night with bright refections of the buildings illuminated on the water as if you are looking into the mirror.
